Prince of Tennis

Even though it’s recently made a comeback (sort of), this amazing anime still isn’t talked about enough. I get that it has its flaws (the realistic side of it is almost hilarious, yet hurts my soul as an actual tennis player) but the other aspects are what makes the show so great.

Characters are so fun and I love fillers honestly becuase I love seeing character interaction. My favorite character in the show is Syusuke Fuji simply becuase of how much he reminds me of myself to a degree. His friendship with Tezuka and Eiji are some of my favorites and how can I not mention his friendship with Shirashi and Yukimura becuase they’re my plant babies. Another pairing I adore is Marui and Jirou becuase of that one OVA that makes my heart melt. Even though Atobe can be kind of a dick, I love him dearly. (I am an Oikawa Stan and I kin him :’). How could I not love and relate to Keigo Atobe??) Ryoga is hilarious to me and I want more information in his childhood. Plus the American team??? Fine wine.

Anyway, the tennis isn’t realistic at all. It does hurt me because I play tennis and know that I’ll never be able to do any of that *sniff*. But it’s anime lol. What fun is anime if there isn’t some bullshit? But I love how there are different approaches to tennis and playing styles becuase everyone plays differently and approaches with a different attitude. I’m just surprised they aren’t more salty to each other.

But if y’all haven’t watched it please do. It’s good and the characters get really pretty :)
