eloa is aware of everyone’s sorrow... all of the time... she feels it in her bones, in her mind, in her being. there’s never a moment where she isn’t being crushed by the weight of the world. anyone that isn’t eloa or god would crumble under the intensity of it because it’s literally every creature in the universe, in every world, every realm, that she feels sorrow from. there’s no escape from it and while eloa can choose to focus on a singular person their pain it doesn’t diminish the rest. she’s learned how to function despite of it all but it’s still a lot
#eloa.#fucking imagine... just feeling all the pain in the world#all of the time...#u'd go crazy!#which is why it's even more special that eloa still manages to be happy as well#anyways she has atlas symbolism and persephone symbolism

Task 001 : Camper Report
Camper’s Name: Austin Daniel Geller
Austin: from Augustus, meaning majestic or venerable. Daniel: “God is my judge.” Geller: “one who yells” or “yellow man.”
Camper’s Age: 19
Camper’s Birthplace: rural Ohio
Godly Parent: Demeter
What is your relationship with your godly parent?:
“Pretty solid, all things considered. When I first got here, first started figuring out what everything meant, I held a lot of resentment towards her. ‘How could she leave me like that,’ you know? But she came to me on my first quest, and she told me how sorry she was, and... I dunno. I know a lot of kids hold grudges against their parent for a long time but---I figure, I’m already holding a grudge against my dad for all the shit he did. I can’t hold another grudge against my mother for what she didn’t do.”
When and how were you claimed?:
“I was ten, I think? It was, uh, the first time my dad ever... he’d yelled at me a lot, pushed me, knocked me around some, but that night was the first time he’d ever--he’d ever hit me. Guess that finally got Demeter’s attention. I ran upstairs and hid, must’ve missed the glowy wheat symbol above my head. But when we got up the next morning, half our crops were dead. Dunno if that was me or her, but... yeah.”
When and how did you first arrive at Camp Half-Blood?:
“I’d just turned eleven, I was in school and my guidance counselor said he wanted to have a ‘serious talk’ with me. Right before it got too juicy, the office was attacked. Some--I think it was a chimera?--was huntin’ me down. Mr. Stevenson--the counselor--turned out to be a satyr, and uh...don’t really remember the specifics, but it was the first time I found out about my powers, you know? Anyway, we got the hell outta there. Hauled ass here to Camp Half-Blood, dunno how long it took.” He goes quiet for a moment. “He didn’t make it. We were so close, like you could see the camp in the distance. Something got him. I--I never saw what it was. He told me to run, and I did. I was just a scared little kid. By the time I turned back, he was--he... there was nothin’ I could do for him.”
Have you been on any quests? If so, give us a short summary:
“I’ve been on a few. The first quest I got assigned to was towards the end of the war with the Romans. I helped rescue Eurus, one of the wind gods, from the Gorgons that had been reformed.
My second one --- uh, remember when Atlas was trying to reform that dragon, waaaaaay back when? Well, Sybaris must love being fashionably late, because she came back about six years after the fact. Long story short, we threw her off the top of Mount Rushmore, she dispersed, shouldn’t be back for a while. That’s the one that made me a counselor.
My last one, I’d barely call it a quest but hey, still counts, right? I guess Demeter and Persephone must’ve forgotten how to use Iris message or something, because I was given the unimaginable task of delivering a gift, several passive-aggressive notes, and finally another gift back and forth between the two. Guess Hermes and Iris must’ve been busy...I dunno, claiming all their long-lost kids or something?”
What is your camper’s favorite camp bead?:
“My favorite bead comes from the summer I became Demeter cabin counselor. It features two dragons fighting each other, because Sybaris tried to get into camp and Peleus fought her off before we took her out west and took care of her. You ever seen two dragons fight? It was awesome. And then when we got back to Camp Half-Blood, the old Demeter head counselor stepped down. Y’know---after I woke up in the infirmary. Said I deserved it. I probably wouldn’t have challenged her for it, but... guess I can’t complain too much.”
Does your camper have any notable physical attributes? (scars, tattoos, piercings, etc.):
Austin has a litany of scars. They’re a mixture of childhood accidents, remnants of his father’s abuse, a few from sparring at camp and some received on quests. The most notable scar is one running down the length of his left leg, given to him by Sybaris after nearly swallowing him whole.
