me 13 yrs ago at ashfall: *took many pics of the fossil beds and info posters*
me yesterday at ashfall: *proceeds to take 27372936 pics of the native prairie flowers*
me: oops but at least i took a pic of the rhino statue?
#i can’t help but take in the beautiful prairie scenery with all the flowers in bloom#the rhino statue was new. i think?? pretty sure i never saw it there last time#anyways pls visit ashfall fossil beds in neb. especially if into fossils and prehistoric life#used to be an ancient watering hole. then yellowstone caldera erupted and blanketed ash over here#killing many prehistoric animals and so lots of their remains got preserved#can often see paleontologists actively working at the site digging up fossils. it’s cool#don’t mind sakizm
