Incorrect Order Chapter 4 (Nessian AU)
A/N: I know I haven't been able to update as fast as you'd want me to but I'll try to fix that. Your comments and feedbacks are very much appreciated. Do inform me if you wanna be added/removed from the taglist! If you happen to find my storyline similar to another fic or one of yours, I'm extremely sorry, I might've just not known. All characters belong to the author Sarah J. Mass. Enjoy!
Summary: Don't first impressions always affect the way you see someone? Well, what more with the Nesta Archeron? Nesta meets Cassian at few unexpected places and to say it didn't go well was a major understatement. Certain circumstances make them become enemies to tolerable company to friends to lovers.
Trigger Warnings: None really

The best way to keep whatever problems one has out of their mind was to do something they liked. That was the only way Cassian kept from spiraling. Since sending the woman to her own house, Cassian had more than a few moments when he wanted to repeatedly slam his head against a wall. That’s why he spent most of his time sparring with Azriel. He won’t admit he was simping for that woman in his free time too. Or maybe that was always.
Now, sprawled on a couch in front of the TV, with nothing to do but stare at a blank screen, Cassian led his thoughts to the box he kept all unwanted thoughts locked in. He thought about Tomas, her ex-boyfriend. Funny, he thought. I know her ex's name but not hers.
It took him a little too long the other day to realise they didn't exchange names. Again. He once thought that maybe she was purposely not giving him her name. That maybe, for her, he was just a random stranger who happened to save her life. He snorted. Surely anyone would know the name of the person they saved or was saved by— stranger or not. He supposed he'll have to make do with pronouns for now.
After she left his home, it took every scrap of self-restraint not to beat this Tomas dude to pulp and let him rot in the same alley he had the misfortune of meeting him in. He may or may not have been the cause for some extra injuries. Cassian appreciated the woman’s attempt at mercy. He, however, didn’t trust Tomas at all. He was dubious about just handing him over to the police. Who’s to know he won’t frame him and the woman for absurd things? Anyway, he left a note in Tomas’s house saying something like “Step out of line, lose your favourite part of anatomy. Name it and have it for your meal.” He made sure he printed so that no one would recognise his writing. Yet, all this didn’t calm his nerves one bit. He presumed he’ll have to stay on guard for some time now.
Now, back to the girl. He sighed. He didn’t dare change the sheets in his guest bedroom. He didn’t even let Mor use the room when she came over last weekend— which he could bet created suspicion. No, that room was only open when he craved her scent. He even realised one of his shirts was missing. He shrugged it off thinking he would've left it somewhere and just couldn't find it. Once she came to his house, he was constantly thinking about her. So much that now he started pinching himself often. It was the only way he could stop thinking about her— by creating physical pain.
Cassian glanced at the clock on the wall. 2.30 in the afternoon. He walked to the refrigerator and checked his freezer compartment. Huh. No ice-cream. He sighed, grabbed his jacket and keys and headed to the mall to get an ice-cream with a pout. He’ll have to leave for Rhys and Feyre’s first anniversary only around 5.30 to prepare everything. He has enough time to get an ice-cream and probably hang out for some time. Good enough to stop thinking about her. Or so he thought.
***
Nesta wasn’t sore anymore. Her headache was gone almost a week after the incident. Her nose didn’t hurt anymore. Okay, maybe a little bit. It didn’t hurt unless she bumped her nose against something. Today, her nose was dully throbbing because she hit her nose against a pillow yesterday. A very, very soft pillow and yet it hurt this much.
The man’s first-aid and medicines were really helpful.
It really wasn’t fair that he excelled at basic first aid too. It wasn’t fair that he looked so good. With black tattoos swirling over generously muscled arms and shoulder-length dark hair curling at the edges and gloriously tanned skin and hazel eyes with minute flecks of green and brown when taken a closer look at and dimples and—
A quiet “Who is it?” snapped Nesta out of her moping. She looked up to see Gwyn walking to her.
“Who is what?” she asked, feigning nonchalance. Gwyn's pursed lips and glare conveyed that her act wasn't enough.
“Who are you thinking about?” Gwyn clarified.
“What makes you think I'm thinking about someone?” Nesta retorted.
Gwyn sat on the chair next to her and started assisting with classifying the unceremonious heap of books on the table to be kept back in its correct positions on its own rack.
“Nesta,” Gwyn sighed, “Clotho assigned you this stack almost an hour ago. And you've barely finished a third of the stack. Normally, you'd finish stacks bigger than this in an hour. So there's clearly something.”
“It wasn't anyone,” Nesta mumbled.
As usual, Gwyn saw through her lie. “You were twirling your hair,” she said flatly.
Heat inched up her neck. “I was not!”
Gwyn murmured a “uh-huh” and they lapsed into an easy silence till they were almost over.
Gwyn's eyes lit up as it normally did whenever she got an idea. “Is it him? The guy you came with that day?”
Nesta scowled, “How do you know…” she broke off when she realised which 'that day' Gwyn was talking about. Nesta fought back a blush. “No, no, this isn't about him. We don't know each other. Much. Like, we've seen each other a number of times? That's it. Nothing else.” Cauldron, the first part was a complete lie. But at least the rest are true. Will Gwyn happen to know his name? Maybe I ought to ask her. Or maybe I shouldn't.
She should, she decided. She cleared her throat. “Uh, Gwyn? Do you happen to know his name?”
Gwyn frowned and asked, “He hasn't told you yet?”
Nesta shook her head and answered, “No, we, uh, forgot. I guess. We haven't really exchanged names.”
Gwyn nodded and smiled. “Well, he is—”
“Gwyn!” a voice called. “You can't expect me to come over to you and beg for you to help me. Help me only if you want to or don't work under me.”
Gwyn’s eyes widened. She abruptly stood up and mouthed, “Merrill. I gotta go. I’m so sorry.” She all but ran to Merrill, the very strict librarian Gwyn was working under.
Nesta sighed and continued her work. There wasn’t much left so she was able to finish fast. She picked her things and left the library with a word to Clotho, heading to the mall.
***
The best way to keep whatever problems one has out of their mind was to also eat something they liked. So, ice-cream it was. After having his ice-cream, Cassian was aimlessly walking around the mall. Here, not more than a month ago, he met her for the first time. Almost a month ago. He huffed out a breath. The fact that he was pining for her this long blew his mind off. He—
“This is your fault— not mine. I’m not taking the blame for this,” he told her. They bumped into each other. Again.
Her lips quirked up. “It is kind of my fault. But blame this—,” she poked his chest, “— for making my nose hurt again.”
Just like that, his mood sobered. “How are you?” he asked.
She pointed at the cafe to her left. “Coffee?”
He nodded. Who was he to say no to her?
So they ordered coffee and talked about everything and nothing. He grinned and she laughed. He laughed and she smirked. He wouldn’t say he knew her well but he’d never seen her so carefree. Her laugh was like nectar for a starving man. Her eyes bright and welling up with tears from laughing.
“I don’t think I’ve laughed this much,” she said.
Cassian put a hand on his heart dramatically and said, “I know, I know. I’m very funny.”
Her lips kicked up a notch. She straightened as if she just realised something. He was about to ask when she drawled, “So I just realised that we still haven’t exchanged names.”
Oh. Right. Of course. “Yeah,” he nodded. “Usually, when people meet, they start with introductions but in our case we’ve literally bumped into each other three times and still we don’t know each other.” He shook his head and extended his hand. “Well, hello there. I’m—”
His phone rang in his pocket. Fuck. He was going to kill whoever was calling him now. He was so close to knowing her name. He pulled out his phone to see an incoming call from Azriel. He apologetically looked up at her and said, “I’m sorry. I wish I could choose not to take this call and instead kill this idiot but I can’t. Just give me a moment, okay?”
She nodded and he picked up his call.
“What do you want?” he hissed.
“It’s 5.30 already, you idiot. We’ve got to get the things ready for the party. Mor already went to get the cake and you’re not even at home. Where on all earth and hell are you?” came Az’s faint voice.
“15 minutes only? Mother above, I’m coming.” he said.
Az’s “make it fast” was the last thing he heard before hanging up. “I wish we could stay here and talk forever,” he said to her, “but I have something up in a short while and I totally didn’t realise time was passing this fast. I’m so sorry. It was nice talking to you. Really. And I wish we could meet again. Though without the bumping part.”
He grinned when she smiled and said, “Bye. Have a nice day.”
“You too,” he called back. He didn’t want to think he imagined the subtle look of disappointment on her face because hell, he was a walking epitome of disappointment right now.

My Boys
Chapter 3
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Chapter 10 Chapter 11 Chapter 12 Chapter 13 Chapter 14
Pairings: Steve Rogers x Reader (Platonic) Bucky Barnes x Reader
Word Count: 1903
Warnings: Language, Angst
Summary: After being abandoned by her parents in Brooklyn in 1929, y/n makes a living for herself by working for the Црни лабуд gang until she meets two boys in a back alley and her life slowing begins to change.
Hi All, I apologise for the late upload, College have showed no mercy with the assignments this month XD As I mentioned before all Imagines and Requests are open, feel free to leave some constructive criticism and pointers as to how I can improve my writing for you all.
Enjoy everyone!
The first thing I noticed about the house was how warm it was and I’m not talking about the temperature, the atmosphere just felt. Happy…almost safe. It felt weird, like I was an outsider barging in on this wonderful place, which I technically was doing thanks to the blue-eyed demon, my mind was screaming at me to run, we both knew that we didn’t belong in this place.
They didn’t need me here ruining this wonderful family, all I brought was trouble and pain, the feeling of my back hitting something soft stopped whatever train of thought I had. Looking up, Mrs Barnes still had that gentle, kind smile on her face, her chestnut coloured hair falling from her shoulders as she slowly draped a blanket around me.
Now I was just plain confused, why was she being so nice to me? a street rat her son brought in from the night? I didn’t even realise I was frowning till she gently touched my cheek “Frowning doesn’t suit you sweetheart, but I know for a fact that you’ll have a beautiful smile once I’ve cleaned you up”. I could feel my eyes glossing over as another tear fell down my cheek, embarrassed I quickly wiped it away before Mrs Barnes saw it, fortunately she was busy gather things up, pulling out a few strange bottles I’d never seen before.
One by one she placed everything down on the table, her eyes now trained and focused on me as she wet the towel and began cleaning some of the dried blood from my face, “I hope you don’t mind me asking sweetie, but how did this happen?” oh crap I was hoping she didn’t ask me that. Internally I started freaking out, I didn’t want to lie to this woman but what flipping choice did I have ?!, “I erm, fell off my bike earlier this week, I was trying to get away from some bullies and hit the curb” my eyes didn’t move from the floor as I said this, I’ve never felt so ashamed in my life, I lied to the kindest person I’d ever met.. it’s official I hate my life.
I knew for a fact that she didn’t believe me, the little sigh she let out told me everything I needed to know, but instead of asking me to leave she pulled me close and hugged me, my body froze up from the shock and to be perfectly honest I’d never been hugged before, so I had no clue about what to do. I mean I never prepared for this, a target wasn’t just gonna randomly stop fighting me and embrace me, were they? Slowly my arms curled around her back as she pulled me closer to her chest, her left hand coming to my head and stroking my hair. It broke me. Tears started streaming down my face, for the first time in my life I felt loved, not like a waste of space or a replaceable resource, but like a normal girl with a mother who loved her. Bucky’s mother quietly shushed me, comforted me till my tears stopped, pulling away from me to gently grab my cheeks and place a small kiss to my forehead.
Bucky’s POV
I’m not gonna lie, I was worried sick about y/n, I could hear mama and her talking for a while before it went silent. Steve knew she was here, he wouldn’t stop asking me about what happened to her and it was getting to us both that we couldn’t help her.
The guilt I felt from leaving her after the fight was constantly plaguing my mind, why did I leave her in that state? I should know something was wrong, for crying out loud why did she have to be down that alley?! What was she doing down there? what is she hiding from us?…A small cry brought me back to reality, my head turned towards the kitchen as worry filled my veins, was that mama or y/n? the not knowing was killin’ me, slowly I crept up to the kitchen door and what I saw broke my heart. Mama had y/n in her arms, whispering sweet words to her as the younger girl cried her heart out, something inside me physically ached and hurt at the sight, I wanted to kill whoever hurt y/n this much, I might not know a lotta about her, but nobody deserves this.
My mind was so focused on y/n that I didn’t even hear someone come up behind me, a hand clasped on to my right shoulder, I could tell from the height difference that it was Steve, both of us looking at the broken girl with hard faces. In that moment we both made a silent promise to each other, that as long as we were around nobody, and I mean f**cking nobody, was gonna harm our girl again.
Readers POV
I had no idea how long we stayed like that, a few floorboards behind me creaked but I paid no attention to them, Bucky’s mum kept me in her arms, like she was protecting me from the rest of the world.
There’s no words to describe how much I appreciate this woman and her family, but I need to get away, they are too good to get involved with my mess, I had no doubt that soon the Црни лабуд would be heading over to my apartment to make sure I was still breathing. Pulling out of the hug was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do, but I don’t deserve this, “Thank you Mrs Barnes, I can’t thank you enough for being so kind, but I’m gonna have to get going, gotta get home before my carers notice I’m not there” my eyes fell to the floor half way through my lie, I knew she didn’t believe me, but she couldn’t do anything to stop me from going.
“You don’t need to thank me for anything Sweetheart, but it is quite late, you’re welcome to stay for dinner and I’d be much happier if you stayed here for the night, so I know that you’re safe.” Gently she placed her hand on my shoulder and raised my head to look her in the eye, this woman is a saint I’m telling you, my heart ached at her kindness and I longed to agree and stay. But I knew I couldn’t. “Thank you, Ma’am, but I’ll have to decline, I’ve imposed enough as it is, anyway you’ve already done so much for me” her bright green eyes dulled a little at my reply, she didn’t say anything else and pulled me in for a final hug before leading me to the door.
Our footsteps echoed off the walls of the hallway, the both of us in deep thought, I needed to stay away from this family there’s too many rival gangs who know who I am, they’ll do anything to get some leverage against the Црни лабуд. I’d rather die then let that happen, laughter coming from the living room stopped my thoughts and carefully peaked in from behind the door, a little girl was running away from Steve holding something that looked like a notebook, giggling away as she hid behind Bucky’s legs. A small smile crept onto my face as I watched the pair play with the girl, Steve falling to the floor and letting out dramatic cries as Bucky held him had me crying with laughter, the little girl was standing on the sofa behind them looking triumphant brandishing the notebook in the air. She must have heard me laughing, because the next thing I knew she was running over to me, she launched herself straight at my legs and hugged them, her bright blue eyes meeting mine as I gave her a friendly smile.
“Hi, I’m Becca! Are you buck’s new friend?” oh my god she is so adorable, her black hair was tied up in a pretty little plait with a red bow, her eyes were one of the most beautiful shades of blue, you could tell that she lit up every room wherever she went. “Hi Becca, I’m y/n and yeah you could say in a friend of your brothers” I’m pretty sure in the background the boys had stopped fooling around and were watching me and Becca, I paid them no mind as I bent down to her level, “You’re names very pretty sweetie, I think I already prefer you to your brother, he smells a bit, doesn’t he?”. Her eyes widened as she struggled to stifle her giggles, we both took one look at each other before bursting out laughing, the boys chuckling and shaking their heads at the both of us, even Bucky’s parents let out a few chuckles.
“Well it was lovely meeting you Becca, I’m gonna have to go now, but I’ll come and see you soon okay?” her smile fell a bit and she reluctantly let go of me, my heart felt heavy with the lie I just told this little girl, but it had to be done. “Yeah okay! bye y/n” one last hug and she was off, trailing after her father as he readied her for bed. Okay time to go y/n, the more time you spend here the more you put the family in danger, one more wave and you’re going, “y/n? you already leavin’?” ugh, why do these boys have to make everything so difficult? Turning to face the blonde-haired boy was a very stupid decision, a frown on his face, his eyes looking into mine as he hurried to catch up with me.
“I’m sorry Steve, I really am but I gotta get home, it’s already late enough as it is” why are they making this hard? They don’t even know me…then again who does. I start to pull away from him, needing to get away to clear my head, feeling my eyes starting to water from the immense sadness I was feeling. “Why do you always turn and run? Bucky told me you ran away from him earlier, as soon as he asked what happened you just bolted. Why?” my question is why do these boys have to be so goddamn nosey all the time, “Steve, please just drop it, I have my reasons for acting the way I do, ones that don’t concern you or Bucky. So please just let me go home, I’m already tired enough as it is”. I’ve had enough of this crap for today, quickly I turned on my feet and started heading away from him, my mind so clouded with exhaustion that I almost didn’t hear Steve, though I’d have more chance of platting fog before that happened that lads gotta a voice that can’t be ignored.
“Who’s doing this to you? why won’t you let us protect you, me and buck won’t let anyone hurt you ever again, just come back inside…please y/n” Steve sounded so sure of it, that he could protect me from the Црни лабуд, a single tear and a bitter laugh escaped me. “Steve…I’m not the one who needs to be protected, I’m the one that people protect their families from.” confusion flooded his features, but I didn’t pay it any mind, turning round and walking away, leaving Mrs Barnes in tears and the two boys broken hearted.
Hope you all enjoyed :) Thanks For Reading! Rose xx

Conversation
Mom and I React to Game of Thrones 8x05
Before the Show
Mom: "I hope we don't cry. They're killing characters. That poor girl just got beheaded and she was totally innocent."
Me: "I don't think we'll cryat t his one. I think we'll cry at the last one."
Mom: "I just wanna see The Hound kill The Mountain."
-
Recap
Cat hears the recap and hops over to the bed. We haven't watched all week and he's missed it. We hummed the Game of Thrones theme during the Handmaid's Tale recap but it wasn't the same. He knew.
Mom: "Stupid, Jamie. Stupid. Stassi's gonna kill him."
Cersei. She means Ceresi.
-
The Map
We hum the theme with gusto to make up for trying to fake the cat out yesterday and the day before
Me: "I can't tell what's on the ring. A dragon and something else."
Mom: "Okay, I couldn't tell either."
-
Dragonstone
Varys writing a scroll about the true heir to the iron throne
Me: "Ohhh Varys!"
Mom: "Ohhh shit!"
Tyrion watches Varys talk to Jon
Me: "He's going to tell her."
Sure enough
Daenerys decides Jon, Sansa, Tyrion, and Varys all betrayed her
Me: "Oh, man. She is LOSING it."
Varys writes on a scroll
Mom: "He's sending them everywhere."
Me: "He's not going to get to send them out."
Varys hears footsteps and burns the scroll, takes off his rings
Mom: "He's about to get killed."
Varys is escorted out and Tyrion tells him he was the one who told
Me: "Tyrion knows! He knows she's out of her mind!"
Mom: "He thinks he can influence her."
Daenerys: "Dracarys."
Me: "Look at Jon eyeing her like 'What the fuck?'"
Daenerys dismisses Grey Worm but calls him something else
Me: "Did she rename him at some point?"
Mom: "I think so."
Daenerys tries to kiss Jon
Me: "They're related and that weirds him out."
Mom: "They're not really, though."
Me: "She's his aunt."
Mom: "But... He's only half Targaryen."
Me: "Her BROTHER is his FATHER. She's his fucking aunt."
Mom: ".... Oh."
Tyrion: "Please, if you hear them ringing the bells, call off the attack."
Me: "Oh boy."
Mom: "She's not gonna have any mercy. She's going to kill them all."
Me: "I never thought I'd be rooting for Cersei to win."
-
King's Landing
Mom: "What are all these people moving in?"
Me: "Yes. Cersei's bringing the townspeople inside the walls so Daenerys will have to kill all the innocent people to get to the castle."
Mom: "SO THOSE PEOPLE ARE JUST BARRIERS FOR HER?! Oh, this is fucked up."
Arya: "I'm Arya Stark. I'm here to kill Queen Cersei."
Me: "Hah!"
Tyrion goes to see Jaime
Mom: "Stooge."
Me: "Tyrion's gonna have to let him out."
Tyrion produces a key
Mom: "Well, they're both dying now."
Tyrion tries to convince Jaime to escape with Cersei
Me: "He's like 'You don't get it...'"
Tyrion tells Jaime to convince Cersei to surrender the city
Me: "This whole thing hinges on Jaime?! FUCK."
Tyrion: "You were the only one who didn't treat me like a monster. You were all I had."
Me: "Aww. He's so scared for him."
Mom: "He knows he just sacrificed his life for that. Ring the goddamn bells. Do you think it's gonna matter? I don't think she's gonna care. She just wants revenge, they're all gonna go, because those people don't love her. She's gonna fill the city with her own people who live her."
The armies prepare for defense
Mom: "She's not gonna leave. She is not gonna fucking leave."
Me: "Jaime's gonna leave her."
Mom: "He's gonna die with her."
Arya and The Hound
Mom: "I hope she kills her and I hope he kills The Mountain."
Me: "He's gonna have to kill The Mountain for her to get to the Queen."
Jaime walking with his golden hand plainly visible
Mom: "COVER YOUR FUCKING-- Oh, he IS dumb."
Daenerys's army is revealed in full
Mom: "Oh Christ!"
Me: "Well because now they also have the wildlings and the northmen."
Mom: "She's not going to surrender. But she doesn't know The Hound and Arya are coming in. Shit, they closed the gate! They didn't get in!"
Me: "Arya and The Hound got in."
Mom: "Oh. Oh, HE didn't get in! But he knows the castle like the back of his hand."
Me: "Hah!"
Mom: "Oh! That wasn't even on purpose."
The army waits
Mom: "The air's changing. She knows about the harpoons so she's gotta have a plan."
Me: "Coming at them from behind maybe?"
Drogon comes barreling down
Mom: "Ooh right in the middle so they have to spin around to aim."
Me: "They can't spin them fast enough."
DRACARYS
Mom: "And they gotta reload. Not fast enough."
Me: "Jaime's gonna see all this and go 'Fuck.'"
Grey Worm, Jon, and the Essos army
Me: "These guys are just waiting."
Mom: "She's not done with the fleet yet."
BOOM
Mom: "WOW! She just took them all out."
Me: "And this guy doesn't even know what happened."
Dothraki
Mom: "Dead."
Me: "She's got people on foot, people on horseback, and the dragon in the sky."
Mom: "And there's only so many harpoon things and he's burning them all."
Me: "And this isn't taking very long at all."
Cersei watches
Mom: "And she's watching it all."
Tyrion walks through the carnage
Mom: "No bells."
Me: "Nope."
Kyburn gives Cersei the rundown
Cersei just nopes him
Me: "So she's just delusional then."
Jon and co get to the castle guard
Mom: "Throw your arms down."
Me: "Tyrion's waiting for the bell and nothing's happening."
Mom: "Nope."
Dragon lands and the castle guard all look at each other and drop their weapons
Me: "She's still gonna do it."
Mom: "They're all yelling to ring the bells."
Me: "Jaime's gonna do it. He's just gonna run up and ring it."
Mom: "The queen hears it."
Me: "Daenerys hears it too."
The bells ring
Me: "She's gonna do it anyway."
Daenerys hears the bells and looks psychotic
Me: "This is like Carrie 'They're all gonna laugh at you!'"
Mom: "She's flying right for the queen."
Drogon lights up the townspeople
Mom: "SHE'S DOING IT ANYWAYS!"
Me: "Jon's going to lose his shit."
Army starts attacking
Me: "Jon can't believe this. Because they surrendered. Jon's gonna kill her for this. He's horrified."
Mom: "He's gonna kill Grey Worm."
Me: "No, he and Grey Worm are in the same boat."
Brutal carnage
Me: "This is horrifying."
Cersei just stands there
Me: "Bitch, she is COMING for your ass. Like, grab a sword. Do something."
Yuron: "Kingslayer!"
Me: "Oh!"
Yuron vs Jaime
Me: "Really? This is what we're watching right now?"
Yuron gets a stab in
Me: "REALLY?! THIS IS HOW HE'S GONNA DIE? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!"
Jaime wins
Me: "I guess he's not dead yet."
Yuron: "I'm the man who killed Jaime Lannister."
Mom: "No one's gonna know it, dingaling."
Castle legit is falling apart
Mom: "So much for the iron throne. She's not gonna have one."
The Hound: (to Arya) "You come with me, you die here."
Mom: "He saw it in the fire."
Ceiling caves the fuck in as Cersei and co are running down the stairs
Me: "Oh my fuck."
Mom: "Nothing left! It's all open."
The Hound: "Your Grace." *cuts down some soldiers*
Me: "'Sup? No big deal."
The Mountain kills Kyburn and abandons Cersei and Cersei awkwardly shuffles out
Me: "She's like 'Um... byyyyyye.'"
Cersei crosses the map on the floor
Me: "Is she gonna go right by Arya?"
Mom: "No! Jaime!"
Me: "He's about to die. He's bleeding out."
Mom: "They're both gonna die."
Me: "He's gonna tell her there's a boat, or try to get her there if he makes it."
The Hound vs The Mountain
Me: "All he has to do is throw Big Bubba over the side."
Mom: "He stabbed him!"
Me: "Yeah, but he's inhuman now."
The Mountain shoves The Hound down the stairs
Mom: "Arya's gonna go back to help him."
Arya's gauntlet run
Me: "She's gotta get the fuck out of there. She didn't see any of this She got in before this happened."
Arya falls
Me: "OH NO!"
Keeps switching between The Hound and Arya
Me: "Did this become Inception? The fuck?"
The Hound keeps trying to stab The Mountain
Me: "Head! Eyes!"
The Hound stabs him in the head
Me: "HE'S STILL FUCKING ALIVE!"
The Hound tackles The Mountain off the side
Me: "They dead."
Green explosions
Me: "The fuck is that?"
Mom: "Wildfire."
Me: "Oh fuck!"
Jon sheaths his sword
Me: "Jon's like 'Fuck this. I'm out.'"
Arya passed out
Mom: "Oh no!"
Me: "I don't think she's dead."
Arya gets up, then gets quickly blown aside again
Me: "Jesus fuck!"
Arya finds survivors and tries to usher them to safety
Me: "Arya, MVP as always."
Suddenly we're in the tunnels
Me: "..."
This rapid scene switching is ridiculous
Mom: "It's all caved in! They can't get out."
Me: "That's what you fucking get, Jaime. You dumb fuck. You could've had a happy life with Brienne, but NOOOOO."
Cersei finally realizes she's not fucking immortal
Me: "TOO FUCKING LATE!"
Cave in
Mom: "That's it, they're dead."
Ashes
Mom: "She destroyed the whole place. So where's your fucking throne, under rubble? There's nobody left."
Me: "Jon is going to fucking kill her for this. She just murdered an entire city and made his people do it too."
Mom: "And they surrendered."
Me: "Arya! There's Arya! She can't believe it either. She's like 'What the fuck?' There's the little girl and her mother she tried to save, burned alive. And those were innocent people. She's like 'What the fuck?'"
Mom: "Oh, a horse! Get on the horse!"
Arya rides off
Me: "BYE!"
Mom: "She went insane! She just went absolutely insane."

Ok so I’m really sorry!!! I lost track of time by doing homework!!! But here’s part two!!! And I might finally get something finished tonight! (I really hate not being in a routine!) But anyway enjoy!!! Imma go finish homework then try and write!!!
Warning: None!

“What’s pretty girl like you doing alone at bar?” asked a voice colored with alcohol.
You were sure you had already heard it somewhere before. You turn your head, actually curious as to who decided to disturb you at your lonely spot.
“William?!” you screamed from surprise, almost falling from the chair.
“I wouldn’t expect you here…” he murmurs. You were kinda amazed he remembers you as you met him a long time ago and he was more focused on Leon than you.
“Oh you don’t know? I moved to Toronto. I got a job here and there wasn’t much holding me in Edmonton so here I am. Ready to conquer!” While you were talking, Willy takes a seat next to you, laughing at your excitement. You weren’t even sure where it was from. Suddenly everything was so easy.
“You should have told me! I would have shown you around the city! And wait, you don’t know anyone here right? Well I’m here with some of my teammates… Time to get to know some people!” And before you can protest, Willy is dragging you to the other side of the club, but it’s actually fine. You need new people, a new start, and someone other to think about…
The music is once again too loud, lights flashing too quickly. You wondered how many pointless nights you wasted at places like this. Instead you could enjoy a cup of tea or a late night walk, but by that time it’s already gone. It’s fascinating how much you sacrificed for someone who probably didn’t even noticed.
“Hey you alright there?”
“Just- kinda nervous,” you quickly answered with small lie, hoping William was not gonna dig deeper.
“You managed to tame Leon, girl! You have nothing to worry about, they are gonna love you.” Oh if he only knows. It’s good he doesn’t though, as you left that in Edmonton, and were not planning on coming back for it.
Then you came to table full of guys all flashing you smiles, but none can oppose brightness of Leon’s.
Fucking hockey guys…
•~•~•~•~•~•
Loud noise is echoing through your apartment and you pray to all the gods that it’s not Leon calling you in the middle of night. However faith is not merciful. So you just answer the damn phone, too tired to care.
“I’m so glad you’re awake,” he breathes, voice full of liquor. You can barely hear him over the loud music.
“Leon I haven’t heard from you since my last night in Edmonton. Seriously go fuck yourself,” you spit into phone, wanting nothing else but getting him out of your system.
“Please lis-” he sounds desperate and if you were still in Edmonton, you would already be on your way.
But you’re in Toronto. The boys invited you to their game tomorrow and you were going on a date, so there’s no point in that anymore. Leon will get it sooner or later. He cares only because you’re gone now anyways. It’s just matter of time before he perplexes the head of another girl, forgetting all about you.
And maybe that still hurts a bit.
“Bye Leon,” you whisper softly before hanging up.
•~•~•~•~•~•
“Mo! Mo! Hold on! You aren’t listening me!” you are screaming through laughter. You tripped over your own feet, but instead of landing on ice, there’s something firm and warm.
“So you can’t skate?” he asked with grin pulling at his lips, trying hold in laughter.
“Never had a chance to learn,” you answered, not looking at him, too ashamed.
“Really? The guys from Edmonton never made the time? Well we gotta fix that.” You doubt they even know you can’t skate. Except they all know. You once asked Leon to teach you but he never made time.
Before you have time to regret most of your decisions, you were dragged to the other side of the ice.
And for a moment you forgot about everything.
“Hey you two! Smile for me!” Willy screams, taking a couple of photos of you.
“What are you going to do with them?” you scream back on him.
“Oh you’ll see.” He grinned at you before skating even farther from you. You stop leaning back on Morgan and start to slowly skate to Willy. You didn’t have illusions about catching him but you can at least try. Even though your version of trying was mostly about not letting your legs part too far away from each other. You really don’t wanna fall.
It was no surprise Willy give up after some time skating closer to you but never so close for you to catch him.
“If you skate from one end of ice to another without falling, I’ll tell you to who I sent it to,” he teased. You thought about his offer for bit. He didn’t gave you time limit and you were really curious. So why not? You can try.
“Okay but you gotta take me to the start,” you smiled at him and to your surprise, he dragged you across the ice and somehow managed to stop you at line behind net, without falling. Others notice something is up and skate closer to you, giving you some space.
“Ready! Steady! Go!” Willy yelled and you hustle with one of your legs moving a bit.
No stress. You don’t have to rush. Stay calm. Hustle one leg and let physics do it for you, and then the other. Oh wait! Your legs are falling apart, crap! Close ‘em! You don’t wanna fall! That’s better. Why is everyone standing and watching you. Is that a phone in Willy’s hands? Hell, now you definitely can’t fall. Stupid legs at it again. And those idiots can shoot at the same time. Crazy, they’re all crazy!
You eventually gain speed and get across the ice, just for you to discover that you don’t know how to stop and crash into the glass, landing straight on the ice.
You just laughed for solid five minutes on your back. Poor attempts of boys trying to get you back on your skates didn’t help much as they were laughing as well.
“I sent it to Leon,” Willy suddenly tells you when you were taking off the skates.
And world lost sense once again.
You’d rather not check your phone for some time…
•~•~•~•~•
Last rays of sunshine in the sky, clouds can’t even stop them. The whole city blooms from them, reflecting and twisting them but they still glow and amaze.
You were sitting at your window, warm tea in your hands, admiring the beauty of the city which slowly sinks into night. Shadows were growing and your tea was getting colder and colder. However, even with the last ray of sunshine, light didn’t disappear and people didn’t stop living their lives. They still have somewhere to go, somewhere to be.
And this time when you hear ringing, you didn’t decline.
“You always wanted me to teach you skate,” a soft voice echoes from phone. This time he’s sober.
“And you never made time. I can’t wait for forever,” you answer, also in hushed tone.
“You shouldn’t…,” he said even lower than before. Heavy silence surrounded you. Not even your breathing can break it.
“Leon? Are you there?” you ask when the silence was taking too long.
“Yeah… we- we must make it to the playoffs and then we’re gonna play in Toronto… And- and we’re gonna have a talk about all of this.”
“Or maybe I get a business trip to Edmonton… Let’s say next month. You make time and we talk.”
“W-what?”
“I’ll call you when I make it into Edmonton. Bye Leon.” Without waiting for his answer you hang up.
And maybe your breathing didn’t hitch this time.
•~•~•~•~•~•
First thing you did when you saw him was hug him. Surprising not only him, but you as well. Then you both sit, looking at each other, nobody brave enough to speak first.
“I’m stupid,” Leon finally breathes out.
“We both are,” you reply quickly not wanting him to blame it all on himself.
“If only I made up my mind sooner… We lost so much time and now… You’re in Toronto.” You link your hand with his, drawing small circles on his palm, trying to calm him.
And then it hit you.
“We are both miserable. And our friendship? Hell. We never worked. We just weren’t mean to be together… I guess. We would probably kill each other. Heh. Just imagine it.”
“Yeah… but we could at least try.”
“That chance was there two years ago. Now I’m in Toronto. It’s too late.”
“Yeah… We both are kinda busy.”
And sadness in his eyes breaks you a little bit.
“Leon look at me,” you said softly taking your other hand and lifting up his head, staring right into his soul.
“We can’t date. Not only because of our current locations but also because as I said, we would destroy each other. We both know that, we both managed to do that already. However we can make right at least our friendship. We never were good friends but that can change now. Please, please be my friend?” You look at him. Hoping that he wasn’t gonna reject you.
“We can try to make this right at least.” His voice was strong once again and smile broke on your lips, matching his.
And you laugh a lot that night.
And you wore his jersey when you watched him play.
And maybe it wasn’t perfect but for the first time, everything was alright.
~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/~/
So we don’t get the happily ever after but I really enjoy that there was like an ending at least! So let me know what you thought and give it up for our anon! English is not their first language but they managed to give us two parts! Up next: I’m going to finish this Nate Schmidt one even if it kills me!
Fun Fact: Our anon didn’t know the word hustle existed until writing this but it’s now their favorite word! XD
