huh. well. that was quite the ride indeed. Spoilers for The Mentalist season 4 finale below, as well as mild spoilers for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. lol
I did in fact enjoy it while it lasted, seeing Jane being unhinged will always be a delight.
Seeing Lisbon in a church was oddly soothing, and the ensuing Jisbon shenanigans were lovely.
Was something of a surprise to see the lady from Superman and Lois, but her character was cool. Very fun. Pretty. Hot. Curious. I keep making AoS comparisons (which is high praise, for the record) but she kinda gives season 2 Ward vibes /pos. Again, iykyk.
Love love love having the whole team in on the plan, that's always a fun time. Unfortunately things felt a bit rushed, probably a side effect of having been pampered by the double-episode finale last season. Everything just happened kinda fast in this one, not as much push and pull or obstacles and whatnot. Not that I particularly mind, it was a fun experience the whole way through and that's what I'm looking for.
As always, very excited to keep watching and see where the next season takes us.
#also yeah Jane's ily moment was something alright#dang what a way to do it#loved it#also also the revolving door of bosses is kinda comedic at this point#who's it gonna be next#let's spin the wheel to find out#also also also FBI agent Darcy looked really familiar and it turns out it's because she was also on AoS lol#it's one of my favourite shows of all time you can't blame me for relating everything to it#anyways her character on that was Dove Cameron's character's mom#(side note that storyline got dark as hell - I didn't fully realize when it was airing but holy crap they really went there)#anyways i bring this up because i have a vague recollection from my Dove Cameron obsession back in the day#that she plays Jane's daughter at some point on the mentalist doesn't she#that's a fun parallel#ok i wanna start season 5 tonight so byeee#the mentalist

thoughts on descendants 4 after just watching it <3 spoilers below
i didnt hate it but it also wasnt great?? i unironically love all the other descendants movies, ive got all the books, the dolls, dove cameron is always in my spotify wrapped top 5 bc of how much i listen to the soundtrack. those are my qualifications for not being a hater. i just didnt think this movie lived up to the original trilogy
and obviously they want to make more movies, which im okay with, but this one still felt unfinished. not in a "there's more to explore in the sequels" way but in a "we forgot to write an ending" sort of way
the pacing was just really weird and when we checked to see how much time was left and saw there were only ten minutes, we couldnt believe it
with all the talk of castlecoming and how big a deal that was, it felt so weird that we didnt see it?? that bridget went thru this horrible life changing prank that literally turned her evil and we just never even got close to it. taking the book was enough
(also, why did red even have to open the book in the first place if they only needed to play keep away with it? they werent even looking for anything inside)
WHAT was chloe talking about when she said her mom changed so much?? like did ella tell her nothing about her past? she's surprised that her mom grew up poor and abused and disliking royals but went on to marry a prince and be kind and give her gifts?? i dont understand what she was confused about alskjfsl
i did like brandy and paolo tho. idc if it was fan service, im a fan and felt serviced <3 their parts were cute. there was no reason for ella to be running around with blue hair tho. and the top, back, and braid all felt like they were from a different wig and none of it was working for me
i am SO glad chad got a mention tho. i screamed when it happened. i just figured they'd ignore him completely lmao
uliana was written like racist people write uma in fanfics. disappointing. disney still owes her for season 1 of hsmtmts so they better improve her part for the sequel movies
the songs were also v disappointing for meee :/ my sister said half of them sounded like they belonged on the zombies soundtrack (derogatory). the soundtracks of the original trilogies have almost zero skips on them, so it sucks that like over half the songs on this one could be a skip for me
this is also true of the stupid royal wedding short but i hate that they essentially killed carlos off for real. its sooo dumb but idk i just like thinking that cam could live on in his character but nooo. and even tho im convinced that china was crying real tears in that scene and it still hurts, the whole "we should do it for carlos" thing was like. still weird
anyway like everyone did a good job with what they were given but i think the script and song writing were nowhere near as strong as the original 3 (even tho i also think the original 3 movies vary in quality in those regards)
but i still had a good time and hope they make more. and i need those dolls to show up in stores bc i want them <3 and above all else...
GIVE DARA RENEÉ BETTER MATERIAL DISNEY YOU OWE HER
#descendants#disney descendants#descendants 4#descendants rise of red#my thoughts#angel watches stuff#angel watches descendants#also i dont even read a lot of descendants fanfic and certainly not ones that are uma negative#but i saw some people talking about one that was particularly offensive and decided to check it out#bc i hate myself#and oh boy it was something elseee#and i just imagine theyre all like that lol#and uliana was giving that#unfortunately

ariana grande, glinda, and my changed opinion of her
It's finals week and I should be doing homework, but I need to get this off my chest. I have been a fan of Ariana for years. I started to become a fan when she released "Sweetner," I really loved the 90s RnB pop style she had, and I became more of a stan after thank u, next. I used to love her not only because her music was good, but she seemed like such a sweet and caring person. I also loved her dreamy aesthetic that she leaned into at the time.
However, ever since the filming of Wicked, and the news broke about her having an affair with Ethan Slater, I haven't looked at her the same. I didn't automatically hate her, but I didn't think what she did was okay. Then, when more women started coming forward and saying that Ariana was the reason their relationships fell apart (Naya Rivera, Cazzie David, Dalton Gomez's ex, etc.) and I was shocked that the "not a girl's girl" allegations were true. To be fair, it is not solely Ariana's fault. The men she cheated with made the choice to leave their former partners for her. I was shocked that she's had a pattern of this behavior since she was a teenager. The woman is 31 now. I normally don't pay a lot of attention to celebrity gossip. I only really ever pay attention if a celebrity is accused of something criminal, like assaulting someone, but this just isn't okay. Before, I thought to myself, Ariana's personal relationships are none of my business and I'm still gonna love her anyway, but now I see how wrong that was of me.
I feel like this recent news about her revealed a lot about her character. When I put myself in Lilly's shoes, Ethan's ex wife, I feel so sad for her, and I feel so angry for her. Lilly was just a normal woman trying to support her husband to follow his dreams so he could support their child. She was supporting him across the world while he was filming the movie. Then, here comes this spoiled rich pop star that smiles in your face and holds your baby, and says, "I can't wait to have a baby," while sleeping with your husband! That's horrible. Then, when the public calls the woman who wrecked your home, she plays the victim in the press, saying that people don't know the full story and should stop "bullying" her. It really shows the kind of person Ariana is. She thinks she can take whatever she wants, even if it's a person.
Ariana has been rich since birth. She grew up in Bocca Raton, Florida. She's never heard the word, "no." Her mother has always handed Ariana whatever she wanted. When Ariana wanted to be on broadway, her mom bought an apartment in New York for them to live there. When she wanted to be on Nickelodeon, she bought a home in LA. No wonder she thinks she can have whatever she wants as long as she bats her eyelashes and puts on the innocent act. I see it now. I see it so clearly. No one has ever said to her, "no Ariana, that's not your donut." "No Ariana, that's not your husband." "No Ariana, that's not your skin color." "It's not yours. You can't have it." -Bela Delgado (lol).
I know people will get pissed at me for saying this, but there's no way she earned the role of Glinda in Wicked. Ariana said in several interviews that she would do anything to play Glinda in Wicked. I don't doubt for a second that she paid the producers or had very powerful people get her that role in some way, shape or form. Jon M. Chu made her audition five or six times because he didn't believe that she could play Glinda. There were so many other talented women who auditioned for that role, including Dove Cameron and Amanda Seifred. Dove Cameron has a stronger soprano singing voice and she's a better actress. Ariana even said herself that she knew about Wicked auditions before Jon M Chu was attached. Who is Ariana's very powerful manager? Scooter Braun. Who's friends with Scooter Braun? Jon M Chu. I wonder if Jon was promised director if he would hire Ariana as Glinda, or if Scooter Braun somehow manipulated Jon. I don't know. In interviews, whenever Jon would talk about Cynthia, he would rave about how talented she is and I think he even said at some point that she was a gift from God. Whenever he speaks about Ariana, he would just say the same thing over and over again. "Ariana had a high bar because she's a pop star. I didn't think she could play Glinda. I made her audition six times. Then I told her to jump over a chair like Glinda and she did. She is Glinda." Yes, she did literally become Glinda, but not in a good way. She changed her entire personality, and her race because she literally wants to be Glinda.
A few years ago, Ariana was twelve shades darker, speaking in a blaccent, "bitch, that's my cookie. that's my juice, okay? carry on. thank u, next." She calls it her "pop star persona." Girl, blackfishing isn't a persona. You were copying Victoria Monet's voice and style, and appropriating her culture to make money and to seem interesting. As soon as the opportunity came across her desk to play Glinda, she stopped tanning, started acting white, and bleached her hair blonde. That's racist and out of touch. Black people call her out for it, but no one else really does. It's so weird. The worst part of it all is that she pretends like it never happened, or she alludes to her "previous persona" but never is fully transparent about the fact that she was pretending to be a whole different race. Yikes.
Another reason why I'm mad at her is that she took the character of Glinda and made it about herself. Wicked's Glinda is one of my favorite characters of all time, and I felt like I couldn't separate Ariana from the role because she made it her entire personality. Good actors find the fine line between the character and themselves and they blend together. The actor blends into the character on camera. They don't become the character to the point where they are acting the same exact way they do in interviews as they did in the film. Jonathan Bailey, for example, who is famous for playing Anthony Brigerton, also played Fiyero really well. They are both very different characters but Bailey doesn't have to do much to be able to tell the difference. He's a famous actor that people adore but the public sees his character first and then remembers that he is Jonathan Bailey. Fiyero is a charming, charismatic guy who is very suave and confident, Bailey pulls this off. In his interviews, he is a golden retriever. He's so sweet and smiley and seems a little shy at times. He's himself. He knows how to get in and out of character.
Also, I feel that Ariana doesn't fully understand Glinda. She just projects her own personal experiences onto the character. It's one thing to relate to a character, but another thing to project your personal feelings onto her because you cannot separate the character from yourself. For example, in an interview with Bowen Yang, Ariana says that *SPOILER* Glinda doesn't go with Elphaba in Defying Gravity because she doesn't have the tools and will hold Elphaba back. She actually says it in a more word-salad way that's confusing, but that's jist of what she said. I love Glinda, but the reason she doesn't go with Elphaba is because she's selfish. Glinda grew up upper class, and had everything she wanted. She cares about social climbing and appearing perfect to others. When Elphaba gets the chance to see the Wizard, she tags along, and when Elphaba rebels against the Wizard, she tries to stop Elphaba because the Wizard said it would benefit her. She stays because she has a selfish motive, not because of some convoluted reason. It's not until the end that Glinda realizes how selfish she really is and starts to make an effort to truly become Glinda the Good. She uses her privilege to help others, instead of taking from them. I don't think that Ariana can ever truly understand that because she's never been honest with herself. If we take the homewrecking scandal into consideration, she lives in denial of her actions. She surrounds herself with yes men and when people criticize her, she plays the victim. In a way is Ariana Glinda? Yes, but no. She's an unevolved Glinda still stuck in her bubble of privilege. She can never truly understand Glinda the Good until she actually looks in the mirror and is honest with herself and makes an effort to change.

Winx Club re-cast
Since the casting of the live action is less than promising(a real understatement), I decided to re cast the winx club
Bloom-Mallory Maedke
Mallory would be an AMAZING Bloom. She’s recently seen as an Alternate in Six: the musical on Broadway. She’s adorable, an amazing singer and actress, and would totally convey the insecure, stubborn, selfless, brave and heart of gold personality of everyone’s favorite fairy of the dragon flame
Stella-Dove Cameron
I originally had Anneleigh Ashford as Stella, but as of recently, Dove popped into my mind while watching a video of her as Sofìe in the Hollywood Bowl production of Mamma Mia in 2017. She’s most known for playing Mal in the Descendants franchise, both Liv and Maddie in the Disney channel show “Liv and Maddie”, and Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray Live. She already has great comedic chops, and is already used to playing a Stella type role of Liv.
Flora- Krystina Alabado
KRYSTINA IS SO UNDERRATED!! She’s the current Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls the Musical. She really radiates the genuine, shy, caring, mature, sweet, and the deep sense of love and happiness just like our favorite Plant Mom™️.
Aisha-Celia Rose Gooding
OMG THIS WOMAN IS SO CUTE AND UNDERRATED OMG!!! She’s recently been seen as Frankie Healy in the Broadway musical, Jagged Little Pill. She’s a relatively new, and young actress(being only 20) and this can be a huge opportunity for her to gain more popularity. SERIOUSLY LOOK AT THAT SMILE!! SO PRECIOUS
Musa- Eva Noblezada
THIS WOMAN!!!! She’s an amazing actress that has pipes for DAYS!!! She pays the role of Eurydice in the hit Tony Award Winning musical, Hadestown. We Stan a musa that can sing👌 She can seriously pull of the tomboyish, tough, sarcastic, and layered personality as everyone’s favorite fairy of music. Anyway, here’s her singing Go the Distance from Hercules.
youtube
Tecna-Chyler Leigh
AGAIN, THIS WOMAN!!! She’s most well know from her work as Alex Danvers in the CW show, Supergirl. There, she plays a similar character to Tecna in Supergirl’s older sister. She could really pull of the level headed, logical, selfless personality of everyone’s favorite fairy of technology.

Stella from Winx Club
ok, i’m back on my bullshit. time for stella, who was honestly one of my favorite characters from the original cartoon.
again, if anyone’s interested in me rambling, below the cut are some of my thoughts about the live-action version of stella and who i would have cast instead (warning: it’s a long read, also spoilers if anyone cares):
hannah van der westhuysen just doesn’t really give me stella vibes (but i guess you can’t go wrong with a pretty blonde white girl). in my opinion, her wardrobe looks like a mix of a pta mom and a rich white girl. she gives me very strong “i would like to speak to your manager”, “i have to pick up braelynn and braxton from soccer practice” suburban white mom vibes. i remember watching the netflix trailer for the first time thinking “why does stella look like a 30 year old mom”; my opinion has not changed since i’ve watched the entire show. sorry not sorry.
ok now personality-wise…, they fucked her character up (just like everyone in this show, surprise surprise). oh god where do i even start with this one? the original stella was fun and sassy and playful and while she was a diva and a bit bratty at times, she was also a genuinely kind person who would do anything for the ones she loved; she was beautiful inside and out. netflix stella…is a bitch (i’m not gonna sugarcoat it). and she’s not even a loveable one. she’s the quintessential mean girl - snobby, condescending, and antagonistic towards the other girls for no reason. she has literally no good qualities which infuriates me. she’s more like diaspro than the original stella.
it’s obvious that the reason for her terrible behavior is mostly because of her strained relationship with her mom and the expectations she has to live up to (y’know, your privileged lonely “i’m mean bc no one loves me” rich kid starter pack) which is such a cop-out in my opinion. i understand that in a lot of cases, unkind people tend to be a result of the world being unkind to them but under no circumstances do you get a pass to be an asshole to people who have done nothing to you simply because you’re life was/is hard. and i mean sure you have a right to be angry at the world or whatever/whomever has caused you trauma but you don’t have the right to take it out on innocent people. the writers just couldn’t get me to sympathize with her and i couldn’t help but roll my eyes.
which brings me to my next case: why is her mom suddenly a villian? in the original cartoon, we know that stella’s parents are divorced but they’re still shown to be good parents who love and support stella. but in this version, king radius doesn’t exist and luna (now queen luna) is borderline abusive towards stella and is all about appearances (i mean she would rather have everyone believe that her daughter blinded her own best friend on purpose because she was flirting with her boyfriend, rather than have people know that stella couldn’t control her powers). and i’m not even gonna get into her covering up rosalind’s attack on aster dell. it just seems like they made her so unnecessarily cruel just to have an excuse as to why stella acts the way she does.
now speaking of boyfriends, we’re going to move onto the final thing that i’ll be going over in this rant: her relationship with sky. dear GOD, this show might actually kill me. so for some fucking reason, in this version, stella and sky used to date even though in the cartoon version, they don’t have any romantic feelings for each other whatsoever. in the cartoon, stella only shows interest in “prince sky” because she believes brandon is sky. after she finds out the truth, she still falls in love with brandon anyway and shows no romantic interest in the real sky at all. in this live action version, brandon’s character doesn’t exist so they don’t have the sky-brandon switch plot (and sky isn’t even a prince) so instead we get… sky and stella. sadly. and it’s pretty clear that the only reason they’re established as having been a couple is so the writers can throw in some bloom-sky-stella love triangle drama and have stella be the catty ex-girlfriend.
now as for who i would have cast instead, i chose natalie alyn lind
i could also see dove cameron or peyton list in this role (but i feel like picking them is really cliche)
— anyway that’s the end of this post. this one was longer than the last one so again thank you to anyone who read its entirety and made it to the end ♡
#winx#winx club#fate: the winx saga#seriously though i wanna know who's genius idea it was to have people who DIDN'T EVEN WATCH THE ORIGINAL CARTOON write the script#how the hell are you gonna have the same writers who wrote for the vampire diaries write for this show?#no wonder it's dark edgy and terrible#mary's rambles

Canon Divergence from Descendants
Please note that I have not read the books yet so it is likely to change
Please note that anything that involves her mother or others can be plotted out differently and I will not control the past of our characters!
« Mal does not sing, her mother hates the sound so Mal doesn’t really know that she has a great voice until she is hanging out with the core three (since she is the fourth). « She doesn’t trust Evie, Carlos, or Jay (Jay yes, she sort of trusts him given that I guess in the books they are partners in crime) « Malnourished, underweight since the Isle doesn’t exactly get the fresh food that Auradon does, therefore, some food scraps or next to nothing to eat although Mal and her mother are on top of the food chain so they do get scraps more often than others. « Mal afraid of her mother and all of the power that she holds (even without magic Maleficent owns the Isle in her own special way) « Abusive life that Mal has lead from her mother withholding food because she was not wicked and evil enough to eat, to getting beat for breaking something, to the emotional abuse that she suffered since she was just a little thing. She learned that you had to be mean, cruel, not soft and have no friends because it shows that you are weak. These thoughts and learned behaviors just don’t go away. She learned to be whoever someone wants her to be because it would lead her to less pain which explains why in the second movie she is using magic, trying to be the girlfriend she thinks Ben would want. « The Isle is messy, filled with villains just trying to survive although death doesn’t happen on the Isle anyways. « When her mother wanted her to be her so Mal was NEVER good enough. Being told “That’s my nasty little girl.” makes her feel something amazing like her mother loves her almost so she always craves that next time she says it. « When told to get the wand, it wasn’t on the threat of being grounded but the threat of death or at least a fate worse than death. « She still dates Ben into the second and third film BUT it is a lot of working on the relationship. This is ONLY with Ben’s that ship them as I will adjust Mal as single. etc when other’s don’t ship it or Audrey is with Ben. « Mal is still the daughter of Hades BUT I won’t force this on Hades players « She doesn’t ask where the wand is right off the bat to Ben and the others, she doesn’t play the whole magic here game because duh people would catch on to what was happening or going to happen sooner! « A week is not long enough to really make connections with others. The only person she really has a connection with is Ben when it comes to Auradon. I am willing to do a plot where Ben and Mal get together in between the 1 and 2 films while attending school there. « “You sound just like your mom” both hurts and brings her a sense of pride. « When Mal walks into Jay’s and Carlos’s dorm, she spells it so only the core four can hear what is said inside the room « Mal has small scars littering her whole body and a big one from « In the museum, there is no singing moment, Mal does not stay behind to stare at her mother’s statue.
« She has a huge scar on her stomach where her mother once stabbed her in the stomach
« Mal is an amazing artist and when she gets to stay at the school and does work at an animal shelter does she use that money to buy art supplies. If she is King Ben’s girlfriend, clearly her time to work is like next to nothing but when a rumor is spread that she is great at art does art supplies seem to come in for her to use « Mal’s locker does not have a spraypainted logo on her locker as there was no time to settle in
« She still does Jane’s hair and other’s with magic
« Mal gets a few tattoos that I will write about at some point in time
« Mal gets herself a pet after the barrier goes down in a sense.
« The barrier doesn’t come down like it does in the third movie. The children come over without a background check generally BUT the adults? Are not allowed off the island.
« Mal has PTSD, generalized anxiety, and depression. Has nightmares often that will keep her awake all night long, will avoid things that remind her of past trauma.
« Mal hasn’t dated before but that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t made out with others
« Making cookies and giving one to Ben is more than just one cookie because it would look strange to just give just one. The cookie she takes out of the bag is the one that is filled with magic.
« Going to Ben's game and having him sing to her is amazing. She feels warm and light but she acts less than impressed for sure.
« The date that Ben takes Mal on is the first date she has ever been on.
« Mal can not swim during the first movies time but she learns after that, takes swim lessons
« Mal wants to break Ben’s love spell it makes sense. She didn’t want to be cruel, it proves that she has a heart.
« Honestly, everyone walks around thinking they are better than the VK’s and that the VK’s are horrible just like their parents. Everyone judges their mistakes TEN times worse than if someone from Auradon makes the same mistake
« Mal swears...a lot. Her mother didn’t care if she swore either.
« Going against her mother is the HARDEST thing that she has ever had to do. Breaking the cycle is hard on her as well.
« Mal mostly uses spells on herself such as spelling her hair to be blonde (Dove Cameron’s blonde not the blonde wig that she wore at the start of the second movie)
« Auradon seems to believe in females have their rules and males have another that is the first thing that Mal would ask to change by taking out the whole females aren’t allowed to fence rule.
« Mal giving Carlos the truth gummies and finding out that because Dude at it that he can talk, you best believe when Mal gets a dog that she gives them a truth gummy
« Mal has a habit of calling Uma “Shrimpy” among other sea-related terms
« Apparently there is a sandbox and a few other toys for children of the Isle because Mal wouldn’t let Uma play in her sandbox when they were little
« Mal tends to her pet lizard and let’s just say she spoils her freaking mother “lizard”
« Dizzy doing her hair is a way to be herself and she can pay Dizzy well which is honestly needed. Dizzy and Evie are the ones that do her hair sometimes but for the most part, Mal uses magic to change things about herself.
« Mal goes back to the isle because at least there she knows how things work, she can play the game of life easier.
« Spraypainting things in the hideout isn’t something Mal does given that they are given leftovers so drawing on napkins, old test paper, etc is more likely than getting a brand new spray can and using it against a wall.
« It physically hurts to turn into a dragon because her bones are breaking, shifting, lengthening to become something so much larger than a human. She aches for an hour after she turns back to human form but she truly does love flying around and being free. She can not change into a dragon when she is pregnant so when Ben and Mal decide to have children, it is likely that she will notice she is pregnant because she can’t change into her dragon form.
« The villains are moved to a prison, not an island where magic is useless and they are able to die after the events in d3 is how it goes. Children that are born in prison are taken away from the villain parents the moment it is born
« Mal’s eyes shine a teal coloring not the green in the movies. They are mixed in color because of who her parents are.
« Mal gets wounded when fighting with Uma, it hits her in the stomach where her scar is from her mother, she gets it the last second before Evie throws that colorful bomb. She heals fast thanks to who her father is.
« VK Day is a horrible thing, won’t be happening here! The VKs come over to go to school there, all the kids or none at all in Mal’s book
« Mal doesn’t think the barrier should be taken down BUT she does think that the children should be removed from the Isle and that is what she tells everyone in the room when asked what they should do.

“Was that [DOVE CAMERON]? Oh no no, that was just [ERICA BING], a [CANON CHARACTER] from [FRIENDS]. They are [20] years old and [ARE] aware that they are not actually from Washington DC. Too bad they can’t stray from this city for long. {ooc: /,C, 25, EST , she/her}”
how long has your character been here
Erica has been here for a couple days, she just trying to figure things out right now.
what is your character's job
She’s a college student, but has applied for a job as a waitress, because her mother always told her that you gotta have a job.
where has your character been pulled from in their fandom
So since she was a baby when the fandom was finished she is actually pulled from the future, because in reality she’d be only 15, but she’s 20.
has any magic affected your character
Yes and no, she is technically from the future so she’s kind of unsure how she’s 20 in 2019, when she should actually be 15. But for the most part she’s still the cheery 20 year old she’s always been, in her time anyways.
Other information to know
She grew up in Connecticut, with her brother, and mom and dad.
She knows she was adopted by her parents.
Is a little like her mother, especially when it comes to cleaning and she’s sarcastic like her dad.
Close to her brother, whenever he is.
Wants to be a writer like her grandmother.

( dove cameron. cisfemale. she/her. ) hey there, lou saunders! i was just talking to the birds about you. they told me that you’re twenty-one, a delivery associate, and muse b in pick me up. i also heard that you’re intelligent and caring, but we should definitely watch out for your snark. wow, i can tell Cava likes you already!
hi, hi ! i’m collie and this is my daughter lou. i have her pages up & running (there might be a few things i need to change but for the most part they’re all up to date ! i’ll still put the most basic things abt her under cut just for a general overview . all links are on her extended bio page if tumblr decides to be a dink and not redirect properly skdjnf if you wanna plot, like this post and ill come to u come !!! let's get this party startteeedd
extended bio / stats page / wanted connections / musings
basic
*plays the new girl in town from hairspray* nah jk she's not as fabulous as the girl in the song is but i'm assuming she's a little new in town. she's from the busy streets of new york, new york!
she doesnt have a lot and she certainly doesnt have family in cava but lou likes it here? bc ? have u SEEN new york? new york is crazy and cava is, quite literally, magical af. and for lou, it's exactly what she's looking for.
aside from delivering food to the cafe, she's also a part-time mechanic! girl grew up tinkering around cars and motorcycles!
lou doesnt particularly stand out. small girl, medium-length blonde hair, grease-covered hands, shirts that are too big for her, and she likes it that way! she also has glasses but can smtms manage not wearing them
she could care less about what she looks like so her usual outfit of choice is a tshirt. some jeans, and her beat-up converse. she’s usually covered in grease anyway so what. is. the. use.
ya girl is ( for the lack of a better term kdn ) a nerd ! sometimes she doesn’t like to admit it but she has an undeniable affinity to the maths and sciences. she doesn’t think that being a nerd is particularly bad, but she just doesn’t like ‘labels’.
she’s witty and will probably joke around anyone she thinks is worth talking to dkjgn likes memes! likes to pun !
it’s not hard for her to make friends if she exerts the effort, however, i should emphasize that she’s secretive. she likes to keep to herself. she wouldn’t want anyone to talk about what happened with her mom or her dad.
as much as it pains me to say this, sarcasm™ is her brand. ksjdn i kNOW, annoying ksjndfs
the characters that inspired her are eleanor shellstrop ( the good place ), tinkerbell ( peter pan ), meg ( hercules ) and gogo tomago ( big hero 6 ). wow can u tell im a die hard disney fan? no? me neither
she likes to put up this front of being ‘tough’ ( uhh what do u mean it’s a defense mechanism?? ) and can often come across brash even if she doesn’t mean to.
she can be very helpful and kind when she feels like it kjndsdg she likes to act tough but whether or not she’d like to admit, she’s a softie, and will probably end up helping anyone even if they don’t deserve it.
she’s taking a year off of college under the guise of “being unsure” with her program ( which is mechanical engineering ) but in truth, she just doesn’t know if she can keep up with the finances & isn’t sure if college is worth the hassle anymore
#sparklesintro#iiiiim coming onso u better get this party started#idk if the lyrics are right but who cares wow we're finally open for plotting!!!#also i kno her pages are a little dark#forgiVE ME#it's her AESTHETIC kjdsnfdj#but fr ill change it as soon as i can! skjdnfjsd

Best and Worst of AoS Season 5
Here is my season five postmortem, in the form of a roundup of what I loved and didn't love. It got really long, so I won't spend too much time on the intro. Let's just dive in. Obviously, major spoilers for the entirety of the season follow.
Best: The Future
For the first half of season five it felt like the team was stuck in a dystopian YA novel. In a good way. It was a bold move to completely change the look and feel of the show, but it worked from both a narrative and production standpoint. Not only did it make the best use of the reduced budget, since they could film primarily indoors on smaller-scale sets, but they didn't have to deal with the goings on in the MCU back home (that would come later -- and it's not on the "best" list). Creating a future from scratch requires tremendous imagination and planning, and they delivered a rich backdrop. I was sorry to leave behind the characters we met there, like Tess and Flint. Of course, they had to return to the present eventually, but they did a really good job of world-building for those episodes.
Worst: Contradicting Time Theories
The showrunners have said in interviews that there were a lot of heated discussions in the writer's room about time travel logic, and it shows. Back in the season-three episode "Spacetime" they gave us one answer (which happened to be one I really liked) -- time is an illusion. As Fitz explained, the past, present and future happen simultaneously. We just experience it in a linear way because we're limited to the third dimension. So it cannot be changed. But when they blew up the Earth for the season’s main storyline, they also blew up that theory, because they HAD to change the future now. They weren't going to allow the world to be cracked apart. It's not that kind of show. Plus, they’re still tied to the MCU, so they couldn't let that future play out. And yet, when they returned to the past they had characters still behaving as if it were fixed (the whole "invincible three" idea, which so many people disliked), but trying to change it anyway. Either the future is pre-determined or it isn't. Trying to have it both ways makes for sloppy and confusing stories. It also gives viewers a headache.
Best: Fitz's Journey
Fitz's absence was notable in the first few episodes, but to make up for it we got "Rewind," one of the best episodes of the season. We saw Fitz struggling with his dark side, only to have to embrace it in the future to save Jemma and Daisy in the most badass way (a total "baller move" as Daisy put it). The blend of pre- and post-Framework Fitz was exactly what they needed at the time. Unfortunately, it may have opened the door for The Doctor to take control in "The Devil Complex." He got a chance to marry the love of his life, but that happiness was short lived. His psychological break (which was an incredible reveal and riveting to watch from an acting standpoint) and what he did to Daisy split the team and the audience, sparking a lot of debate about the nature of good and evil both on screen and off. Which, I think, was exactly the point. Was he redeemable? Could he have learned to control his dark side? Could the team ever learn to accept this new version of Fitz and his morally questionable, yet undeniably effective, methods? We'll never know. Which brings me to . . .
Worst: Fitz's Death
(Jemma gif because I can’t watch that death scene anymore.)
(But this is almost as bad.)
We've been over this, and the wounds are still fresh, so I won't rehash what so many others have said more eloquently. I will point out that the issue is not with the death itself. They had to do it in order to bring back Cryo Fitz (or perhaps because they knew they could), who hasn't experienced the majority of season five. It's an intriguing idea, and should open up a lot of pathways for his story next season. Also, it gave Iain another chance to show off his crazy talent (like he needed more this season, but whatever, we're grateful). It's just the way they did it, and the fact that anyone thought this would be an acceptable sendoff for a fan-favorite character if it really was the last episode. The fake-out (which wasn't even a proper fake out because they REALLY DID have to bury Fitz) undercut what should have been a bigger moment -- Phil's departure and impending death as well. They botched it, plain and simple, and there's no taking that back.
Best: Philinda Endgame
They took their time getting there, but May and Coulson finally expressed their feelings for each other (at least, the human versions), each in their own signature way. May finally telling Phil she loved him just to shut him up was classic May. And that kiss behind the shield ought to go down as one of most iconic TV kisses in history. I sincerely hope they get lots of parasailing in, and, despite it being a lovely sendoff, that we'll see one or both of them back next season. Incidentally, I believe the fact that Robin drew the two of them on the beach in Tahiti before they changed the future means that they wound up together in the previous version of the loop too. Of course, Phil had to be gone to allow May to become Robin's mom, and now I'm giving myself a headache again. See what you've done, season five!
Worst: Team Infighting
This show is never better than when the characters work together as a team, whether it's on an action-packed mission or simply solving a problem on the ground. Which makes the decision to split everyone up along multiple fault lines later in the season a confusing and super frustrating move that wasn't at all fun to watch. Families fight, sure, but the divisions this year were deep, involving the loss of trust and respect, and the questioning of each other's core moral principles. These are not minor squabbles. I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish by stepping up the tension and having them take sides against each other in the face of their greatest challenge yet, but I don't think it worked out the way they wanted it to. I would love to see everyone come back together and be a family again, as long as it's done realistically without sacrificing characterization.
Best: Graviton
With this season possibly being the last, the writers took the opportunity to pick up a thread they'd left dangling in episode three. Ever since the introduction of gravitonium way back when, fans have been wondering if the show would follow through and deliver the major comic-book villain Graviton. Considering this season could have been the show's swan song, it was a good time to deliver on that promise. And they did, in a way that was surprising yet somehow fitting. Glenn Talbot has been a thorn in Coulson's side since he showed at the end of season one, so to have him become the final Big Bad is a satisfying, if tragic, fate for the character. Especially since, in his twisted mind, he believed he was doing the right thing, right up until the end.
Worst: Ruby Red Herring
Sorry Dove Cameron fans, but the show let your girl down. Despite the potential in her first few episodes, Ruby never lived up to the compelling, cutthroat (or cut-arm, haha) villain they set her up to be (her hooded alter ego never even got a cool villain nickname). As it turned out, she was only there as a distraction, to confuse the characters and the audience about the real identity of the Destroyer of Worlds. And just as she was getting interesting -- the way she watched and mimicked Fitzsimmons alone told us more about her cold upbringing and the lack of human connection in a few moments than we got in all her episodes before that -- they killed her off to give the team something else to fight about.
Best: Nostalgic Callbacks and Fan Service
We got so many callbacks to previous seasons throughout season five. Maybe it's because the writers knew there was a chance this would be the last year, so they packed in as many references to the history of the show as they could. There was also the milestone 100th episode, which naturally lent itself to looking back. In addition to paying off older plot points (see above re: Graviton) they directly acknowledged their loyal viewers with that "small but active fan base" line. It was exciting seeing Mike again. And good to have Davis back too, with his mysterious survival story (that I hope they never reveal). Not to mention Hunter (which I will, down below). These were all gifts to long-time fans and we ate them up.
Worst: Infinity War Tie-In
If you're going to go there (and yeah, they had to, given the show's history), then fully commit to it, rather than using the cop out of ending the season just before the movie's biggest moment. Anyone who's seen it knows that the ending could potentially have a major impact on the show. So embrace that (imagine Phil handing Mack the keys to Lola, only to watch them fall to the ground). Or they could have used the multiverse to disconnect from the MCU once and for all. There were already so many questions going into the finale, whether they would or wouldn't go through with the snap was one debate I could have lived without. And it's still up in the air as to whether it will be a factor next season. Given that the airdate is after the next movie comes out, I'm inclined to think not, but I kind of wish we didn't even have to worry about it.
Bonus Bests:
The Return of Lance Hunter
Every single moment he was in was pure gold. I really hope we haven't seen the last of him.
Fitzsimmons Wedding
I mean, obviously. So beautiful and emotional. A shining moment of light to balance the darkness of the rest of the season..
Deke
I love Deke. End of story. He is still around and he will be back. See my explanation post here. I have no official confirmation of this, I'm just thinking positively.
One final note: These gifs were pulled from all over. I’m still rather new to Tumblr, so if you see something that’s yours and would like credit, let me know (and also if you could let me know how to do it that would be great).

Note
“Mysterious obsession with Daisy” is totally code for “fangirl who wants to bang Quake.”
OK SO in case anyone hasn’t heard this yet- dove cameron’s character is this girl named ruby who has an obsession with quake and also her mother is that general from the fitzhunter lovefest episode who shot those two agents. someone save ruby from her mom immediately please.
anyway im definitely thinking ruby runs multiple quake fan accounts across various social media platforms hbu

BACKGROUND
first of all, this is a daily reminder that i hate myself.
anyways! her real name is alison belmont ( even though in threads i’ll call her ada but while plotting & obviously here, in her intro i’ll call her alison to not confuse you guys sdfds it’s just easier to call her as ada in threads since she’s??? ada now?? ) she’s using her twins identity, ada belmont.
ada & alison were adopted by two warlocks named edith & raphael belmont when they were just a few months old. edith & raphael moved to la not long after so, they grew up there. alison was never the kid her father wanted her to be (unlike her twin) so raphael, her dad, being the old-schooled man that he is, arranged her to marry someone as a punishment to her. it was also for raphael’s benefit, considering the boy was actually a pretty powerful warlock that he could use in the future since raphael was pretty much obsessed with power. but what alison’s father didn’t know was; her twin was actually in love with the boy alison was supposed to marry. so, alison and her twin made a plan. they took each other's identity ( of course with some help from their magic, creating illusions & all ), so everyone would be happy. little did alison know her twin wasn’t really the perfect child.
alison’s life before switching identities with her twin was already tragic - she witnessed her dad killing her mom, but she could do nothing about it. ( she deeply cared about her adoptive mom, edith & she was actually good to her unlike her dad. ) her father always wanted her to be so perfect. to keep the family name alive. ( he actually adopted many kids during his long life, but since none of them fit his standards, he ended up killing the most. alison doesn’t know that - not yet. ) but alison wasn’t perfect - she was reckless, she didn’t listen to anyone, did what she wanted to do, wore what she wanted to wear, went where she wanted to go, etc. that’s why her father punished her in his own ways a lot. he left her in a dark room for days, he made her think there were ghosts in the house ( even used his spell to make her see hallucinations), he even tried to drown her once. but when he saw that alison was only getting worse the arranged marriage happened. but as i said, ada, alison’s twin, came up with the idea of switching their identities. after all, it wouldn’t be too hard, right? wrong.
ada was that kind, smiley, benevolent princess. alison wasn’t like that. she hated following the rules, she hated smiling all the time, and she absolutely hated giving everything she has to help people. but, even if she doesn’t realize that yet, pretending to be ada for over a year ( she started before the bonds happened ) changed alison as a person, too. and it also changed her opinions about her twin she learned that ada wasn’t perfect & did many questionable stuff, she learned about ada’s enemies, lovers & friends she never knew before. and a lot of things i’ll mention later. also, alison is good at pretending to be ada, yes, but sometimes she gets tired of it and just acts like herself so people might think that ada has been very strange for over a year now.
CONNECTION IDEAS ( see this is how they’ll work: we can plot that you had this connection either with alison or her twin, and now that she’s pretending to be her twin, we can plot how things will work out since no one knows about her secret! )
close friends.
flirtationship.
frenemies.
high school & college friends
exes that ended on bad terms.
exes that ended on good terms.
uncommon friends.
childhood friends. (must be from la)
partners in crime.
confident/cornerstone.
brother/sister figures.
dad/mom figures.
friends turned enemies.
one night stand.
first love/childhood crush.
also here are some detailed ideas that i took from connection masterlists:
[ FRIENDS] : it started with something simple, when alison or ada dropped something on the ground and your character chased after alison/ada to return it. needing to thank your character, the two went to coffee and the two hit it off and are now close friends.
[ FRIENDS ] : when your character moved in, they didn’t expect to see alison climbing up/standing on the fire escape right outside their living room window. they went to confront alison and scared them, making both fear for the life of alison for a moment. apologetic, your character invited alison in and the two connected almost immediately. (alison may or may not have explained her presence on the fire escape during this conversation // reason could have been that she knew who lived in your character’s apartment before but didn’t know that they moved)
[ ACQUAINTANCE ] : alison/ada and your character are often seen at the same place, but never together. in fact, they only found out each other’s names because they’ve heard other people speak it so frequently. they’ve had few, small conversations but not much else.
[ ENEMIES ] : alison/ada and your character didn’t meet each other on the best terms – alison/ada was in your character’s bed…with your character’s significant other. granted, alison/ada didn’t KNOW that she was helping your character’s significant other cheat, but she never apologized for it either (she doesn’t think she should). your character is eternally bitter about it and gets huffy af whenever alison/ada is around.
[ FRIENDS] : your character and alison met recently, after she started pretending to be ada and became friends immediately. ( so your character thinks she’s friends with ada) but the two always seem to find trouble and danger when they’re together. that must be a good thing that they’re so protective over eachother.
[ FRIENDS] : alison is the troubled friend while your character is ‘the angel who could do no wrong.‘
[ FRIENDS] : a close friend of both of the twins. they were always so protective over eachother, and they were always there if the other needed. it will keep going like that.
[ JUST DO IT ALREADY ] : alison or ada and your character have been interested in each other for like, ever. neither of them are willing to admit it though, even to themselves. their friends are constantly joking about it and they both wave it off – but when one isn’t looking, anyone could see the adoration in the other’s face with ease.
[ CRUSHES ] : ada/alison and your character have had a flirtationship going on for quite some time. they’ve always hinted at feelings toward another in conversation, never outright saying it. a while ago, your character blurted their feelings for ada/alison and quickly changed the subject afterward. they haven’t spoken about it since.

MEET WINNIE LOVE DAWSON. platinum blonde locks cascading to her shoulders , cherry chapstick , hints of toasted marshmallow to cover up the stench of smoke , always daunting a little black dress , toddler on her hip , forest green eyes . trust fund baby . 100% messed up .
❝ dove cameron, cisfemale, she/her ❞ 𝙊𝙃 𝙈𝙔 𝙂𝙊𝘿 – look who’s dropping her kids at school !! That’s ( WINNIE-LOVE DAWSON ) the ( TWENTY ) year old from single parents !! Well I also know her for ( HER CHILD ACTING CAREER ) and I bet you do as well. I can’t believe she raising ( ONE BOY ) and she’s ( TWO MONTHS ) pregnant and alone. She used to look so good with ( ANY MALE FC ) but now she walking the street alone, how sad.
TW: mentions of drug & alcohol abuse
winnie is your everyday case of child stars going absolute off their rocker. by the time she was a few months old she had already been thrusted into the spotlight by her parents landing her a gig on a late 90′s family sitcom ( think full house ). she played the youngest daughter in the family, and while typically roles like that would be covered by twins for child labor law reasons, her character didn’t appear much on screen anyway.
the show lasted for six seasons and by then winnie ( often credited as winnie-love dawson ) was already pushing seven years old and everyone was begging her to be in shows, movies, albums, modeling and given it was all she knew; she went ahead and started starring in her own little children’s movies.
by the time she had ran that dry she was approaching her teen years and was offered a show on disney starring her as the lead character and they would just write the show around her. she was america’s sweetheart by this point and everyone wanted to see what she would do next.
when she turned 16, she started partying lightly and getting into the “wrong crowd” of influencers, but she couldn’t help but start to freak out about her life. she never chose this career, her parents did. she realized maybe this wasn’t what she wanted to do anymore.
once her disney show ended after 4 seasons, winnie was seventeen and within months of the show ending it wasn’t long before tabloids came out with “america’s sweetheart, winnie-love dawson, has found herself as america’s new wild child” but she didn’t care. she was living life with no repercussions.
that was until she found out she was pregnant. something that was completely unintentional given she was only nineteen and when she found out during her second trimester she realized what a mistake she was making. given she had no idea about the pregnancy, she had been partying and smoking and winnie didn’t believe in religion but for the next five months she prayed to whoever that she would have a healthy baby and promise to turn her life around.
and just about five months later, phoenix lynn was born on october 15th 2018, perfectly healthy and perfectly happy.
since finding out about her pregnancy, winnie has been attempting to change her life around but it’s hard when you’re just a washed up teen mom so when she got offered to be on single parents, she decided to do it so she could use it as a way to gain her reputation back and clear her name from her struggle years.
she’s also been writing music for the past couple of years, finding it to be her passion but she’s worried she won’t be able to produce the music given her awful bad girl rep.
ex details tba !!

So, I'm at my mom's house to pick her up, and she has cable, so I've caught part of Descendants finally. I would own it if it were on blu, but I feel convinced it will get a bluray release as soon as I buy it, so... anyway, first, Dove Cameron is my goddess, duh. Second thing, seriously, not all of these characters would have kids, let alone all the same age at the same time, c'mon. Fairy Godmother? Really? Haha. #descendants #disney #disneysdescendants #disneydescendants #fairytales #princesses #princes #villains #princess #dovecameron #disneychannel #instagood #instamood #iphonesia #igers #picoftheday #photooftheday #kawaii #kawaiiguy #kawaiiwolf #prettykawaiiforawhiteguy #waltdisneywolf
