I can actually understand people being upset with the name of all things because like, the summary really doesn’t prepare you for the fact that this book more or less has a completely different main character and that’s a big shift to just throw at your readers but it also makes me so sad like guys… GUYS if you give up now you’re going to miss out on so much good stuff… guys PLEASE we’re establishing information we’re getting the other half of the story GUYS

#personally i was def caught off guard but what we got of kihrin’s reactions was enough to keep me going #and by the midway point of the book i was interested enough in janel’s storyline to be fully invested either way #it’s a big risk to do this sort of thing but imo it payed off… getting to learn more about our villains was so fascinating and it was also #kinda like a big reminder of the scope… kihrin might be the mc but he’s absolutely not the only player on the board there’s so much more #happening #a chorus of dragons #anyways gonna look at five star reviews now. palate cleanser
