Also this is... not new. At least in psychology, like we been knew. This has been taught in psychology research programs for at least the last ten years. What this means is, is that many people have spent an awful lot of time and effort teaching psychology students ethical research practices and the ability to critically evaluate research and look for data manipulation. It also means that many journals and researchers are moving to make their data more accessible to people who want to verify their work. It means that there are journals dedicated to taking that research that was stuffed in a drawer because it didn't support current findings.

Just like, things are being done. We've been working on this for a while. The fact that you are hearing about studies that are not well supported is actually evidence that we are moving towards a solution because a big part of the problem is that that information was not being made available.

Isn't psychology suffering from a HUGE replication crisis? Like I know other fields are too, but it seems that about every big psych study I've heard about in the 2010s has been disproven at this point. Like psychology is genuinely more difficult to study and design studies for since it involves people. I think there's definitely reasons to not 100% trust what psychology is saying, because lbr it is not at a great place right now.
