Kit, in practice, is the antithesis of everything she’s meant to stand for. Behind the masked layers of rigid structure that constrain her, Kit is anything but. Always searching for a freedom that will forever elude a person of her station. Kit can be impulsive, certainly reckless, and headstrong. Kit, despite the efforts of her mother and the court, remains untamed. Kit reminds her of home, the one beyond the barrier. Her company soothing an ache that Jade can’t name.
