im still working on a bunch of stuff have a new guy for now 😁

His name is Llano. He's a cattleman, a sort of job in the Vast Moor. These dragons herd different types of cattle around the plains (as to not leave one spot too barren) and every now and then make rounds to the main moor runner camp to stock on supplies, socialize and of course give livestock to eat to the quiver. They generally travel in smaller groups, and wyvern falconry is a MUST for them. Silvery whiptails are popular among herders because of their stamina and their responsiveness to auditory cues and commands. Special scales on their tails can make a cracking noise when lashed, as well as being painful to be hit with, so this makes them great at keeping animals in line. Llano himself chose this lifestyle because living with too many dragons was very overwhelming for him, and prefers exploration and traveling with a smaller but close knit group

Giorno takes the game way too seriously.

The moment he learns how the game works, he studies each theme like it’s a battle plan.

“The prompt is ‘Pastel Princess’? Understood. I will design a look that evokes elegance, softness, and regality.”

His avatars always end up looking like fashion magazine covers. Even the judges (i.e., random online players) are stunned by how coordinated and detailed his fits are.

Refuses to vote for Mista because his outfits are never on theme.

Mista: “It’s a pastel gunman!”

Giorno: “It’s a no from me.”

Bruno Bucciarati

Unsurprisingly great at the game. His taste is effortlessly stylish.

He calmly builds his outfits without fuss, and always includes at least one zipper motif- just out of habit.

“The theme is ‘Cyberpunk Rockstar’? I see. I’ll add chrome accents and a bit of neon.”

Gets second place consistently and congratulates whoever wins, even if it’s Narancia in a clown wig.

Judges fairly and diplomatically.

Sometimes gives feedback like: “The colors were strong, but your accessories clashed slightly with the silhouette.”

Everyone else: staring in shock that he knows this much about fashion terminology.

Guido Mista

Thinks the game is dumb until he realizes he can put his avatar in a cowboy hat and sunglasses.

Immediately obsessed.

“This is me now. I’m Cowboy Baby 007.”

Picks guns no matter the theme.

“What do you mean ‘Cottagecore Fairy’? I’m armed and ready for the forest, aren’t I?”

Gets last place often but acts like he was robbed every single time.

“They just don’t get my vision.”

Narancia Ghirga

Always chooses the craziest items in the dressing room and has no clue what the prompt is.

Theme: “Goth Vampire.” Narancia: wears neon green mohawk and sparkly pink crop top.

“Guys, look!! I gave myself a dragon tail and rocket boots!”

Somehow still ends up in the top 3 because his avatar is so bizarre it loops back around to being iconic.

Screams whenever the timer runs out. “WAIT, I WASN’T DONE!!”

Shouts during voting: “VOTE FOR ME OR I’M MAKING SPICE GIRLS DROPKICK YOUR AVATAR!!”

The most chaotic good energy of the group.

Leone Abbacchio

Does not want to play. Complains the entire time.

“This is ridiculous. I have better things to do.”

Still makes an avatar. It’s just all black with a skull mask and red glowing eyes.

Refuses to match the theme, ever. “What part of ‘Magical Mermaid’ includes rainbow glitter? I’m a sea reaper.”

Somehow wins once and never stops talking about it.

Leaves passive-aggressive comments in the chat like “Guess the judges don’t know anything about aesthetic consistency.”

Trish Una

Dominates the game. She was born for this.

Immediately understands how to blend style and trend.

Wears angel wings, platform heels, and a flower crown for “Heavenly Royalty” and gets first place without trying.

Always finishes building her outfit early, then walks around critiquing the others.

“Narancia, you put polka dots and camo print together. Are you okay?”

Gets into minor arguments with Mista every time he makes a theme-breaking outfit.

“You look like a confused mall cop.”

“It’s edgy! Boundary breaking! You wouldn’t get it!”

Pannacotta Fugo

Desperately wants to win, but rage-quits if he doesn’t.

Theme: “Casual Beachwear.” Fugo spends five minutes finding the perfect linen shorts and beach sunglasses.

Still loses to Narancia in a banana costume.

“THIS IS AN INSULT TO STYLE. I SPENT REAL TIME ON THIS!”

Tries to remain calm, but one loss sets him off.

Leaves the game and rejoins under a different username like “SunshineStylePro777” just to try again.

Once he gets first place, he breathes a deep sigh of relief and doesn’t speak for five minutes.

Sona master post time!

here is the post guys, gonna put it under a cut because I have a lot to say about a lot of my sonas

1)Bear man? He has no name really, just me really. technically I made his species a grolar bear but he is just kinda a silly bear. hat and glasses are optional. bandana and sweater are interchangable. technically you can draw top surgery scars on him but I haven't had top surgery yet so I will only draw those scars when that happens. But yeah he is my defult sona

2) Lemon (aka spearsona) My rain world sona, can be anthro or just a scug. he has no mouth usually, mouth can be given if silly enough. He has fluffy paw pads (kinda like rabbit feet) The patches on the anthro version overalls represent my friends that I feel closest to (there is a missing pink bow patch from my old drawing because that friend blocked me, please don't attack them if you find out who they are) I will be adding more patches, don't worry friends

3) Gator! My more silly playful sona. goofy and stretchy and moldable. kinda a guy I use when excited of playful, when my brain is very lizard brain. if you draw him then please keep it sfw, he is meant to be child friendly. He has 2 design requirements for if you draw him, green and has the snoot. go wild if you draw him, I love this fella.

Update (11/09/24): Gator has a shark fin on his back now. same rules as before but now requirements are green, the gator snoot and the fin

4) Draygon This guy and below are more personal or with friends so just keep that in mind and ask if you are allowed to draw them doing something. (if you are a mutual or we interact a lot you can draw this guy) Anyways he is just a long dragon with a fluffy mane, if you see him I am usually sarcastic or have had a very rough day

5) Banana! :D Pokesona, he is an eeveelution designed by my friend @boyswhowawa (I can remove tag if you want) called alebreon. He is a ground type (he also looks quite different from the normal alebreon, they are not normally bright yellow) the green arm band is mandatory. He usually is around his friend squash (I cannot share squash because that is friends sona) I actually don't mind fanart of him but he is more personal to me

6) Zigzaret :P my second pokemon sona, a galarian zigzagoon, sentret hybrid. a silly pal. nothing too special he is just silly. you can draw him being a goober and a sweetheart.

7) Squizzard OwO originally a fusion of lonely wizard and a squirrel from inscryption. He is extremely personal with my close irl friends. ask me directly if you want to draw him. I find him silly and I love him but would be uncomfortable if he got just random fan art

anyway wicked movie round three thoughts

i tried to pay more attention to musical motifs this time around and there are so many gut punches i was sitting there going oh fuck this over and over again. i can't wait to spend the next five years watching music analyses of this soundtrack i swear to god

i won't talk about sad glinda and the effigy again but i will talk about how glinda doesn't even look scared once she says elphaba was her friend. she's so immediately lost in the memories and her wistful smile as we start the flashback is e v e r y t h i n g

if you think ariana and cynthia crying through the entire press tour is ridiculous wait 'til you hear about me crying at the damn fish during the transition to shiz. it's just so magical okay! and glinda is so excited! and it makes me think of how hard book glinda worked to get to shiz, and idk man i just got swept away by the wonder and charm of a magic university alright god

idk how popular/unpopular an opinion this is but i have such a soft spot for dear old shiz and i love that how it plays in the dormitories, it's so sweet

also i finally noticed the time dragon clock this time around

i love the touch of glinda being like no, no way to pfannee and shenshen about the hat but then when elphaba shows up glinda specifically looks down at her sorcery books before deciding to give it to her. i love that silent tipping point in her decision

at the ozdust glinda says it's her heart's desire to become a sorcerer. elphaba giving glinda her heart's desire the way the wizard is supposed to (and not just now, but presumably i part two as well when she gives her the grimmerie)

the poppy in nessa's hair the day elphaba brings a bouquet to class for dr dillamond (fiyero and glinda have flowers on their desks too which is just so sweet)

((also i do love glinda and elphaba arguing about the way dillamond says glinda as they walk to their seats. it's so silly it's so real. i would watch 3 hours of shiz shenanigans i swear))

when jeff goldblum walked out from behind the wizard's head a woman in the theater went "oh!" and tbh it was the perfect little addition to that scene. give that random theatergoer an oscar

if elphaba had said her heart's desire was to not be green i think the wizard would have pulled out a non-green doll and given it to her and that would've been the scene

hey do you guys think they're gonna change the lyrics of wonderful in part two to address the fact that glinda is the one who chose the yellow brick road?

(my other theory about part two right now is that the opening is going to be very different. i really just dont' think you can open a movie with thank goodness and have it hit. idk what they'll do but there needs to be some sort of buffer)

also i think this movie has made me a fan of sentimental man. it's just so charming! like elphaba, i am not immune to a sweet little number about home and family and a sense of belonging

it's been said before but the betrayal scene in the palace truly is everything. elphaba is so hurt by it all. morrible's actions really do sting in this one (and michelle yeoh, hoooly hell, the switch from warm headmistress to intimidating head sorceress is so good)

idk man. it's just nice to know that i'll never be over this movie i think. after spending like 8 years building up unrealistic expectations about it i was still surprised and amazed and tbh 2024 has been so freaking disappointing, it's nice to know that this one thing was as close to perfect as it could have been (imo)

solstice - his early costume looks so silly. bro is wearing a bedsheet toga that is not tied properly and a shitty plastic spirit halloween comedy theatre mask <3 god bless i love baby capes <3 he does get 2 make it better, gets like a proper toga with some details around the edges (probably wears stuff under it when it's cold, like a full bodysuit or something especially when it's winter or he's like facing leviathan or something but if he's not then he's mostly just wearing like. shorts and an undershirt) and he's got a lil crown of laurels (kept alive by flora <3) and he wears an actually decent looking gold comedy mask (probably made by gauntlet) he usually wears like roman sandals just casually out on the field but he will put on other more practical stuff if need be (like winter boots if it's cold, runners if he has 2 do a lot of moving. he will show up 2 a leviathan fight in rubber boots or even full waders. aesthetic be damned my boy can fish)

anna - anna sollll my beloved....... she's usually in a full bodysuit with vines covering the more important parts, kind of like living armor. cool as shit. her bodysuit is purple and her mask sometimes covers her whole face and sometimes just her lower face depends on how she's feelin, and also it's made of living green vines (i love u ourple and geen colour combo) she usually has vines holding her hair back in a ponytail or she has it braided. footwear?? boots. she's like her son she loves big stompy boots!!!! will wear jewelry out on the field. she is not taking out her piercings fuck u. may wear a purple leather jacket over it all if it's cold as balls

strider - only consistent part of his costume is his cool black fantasy rogue cloak and his lower face mask!! bc of his powers he doesn't Need 2 be super inconspicuous. ofc he is anyway when he first starts (all black clothes, trying not 2 be seen) but eventually he goes Fuck It and starts wearing like. just graphic tees and cargo pants and shit under his cloak. usually has bright red braids that match his bright red sneakers (dakota would have loved him.....) Always wears fingerless gloves. for the aesthetic. sometimes has a knee brace on but it depends on how bad his knee is feeling from day to day. if it's cold he's wearing a hoodie under the cloak (fuck u he doesn't need a winter jacket he's fine. no he's not shivering shut the fuck up grayson)

grayson - ARMOR!!!! i think he's got a couple different suits for different situations. his heavy duty armor for endbringers and shit is like. idk i have a pinterest board for the greats and the armor there is literally just how i picture his. swooped spikey pauldrons, same kinda spikes on his helmet, and most of the pieces have details that look like scales, and ofc he has 2 have a hole somewhere for his tail. very important. other than that it covers pretty much every inch of his body!! he's got lighter armor that covers a bit less but makes it easier to move (still needs the fancy spiked details. second most important detail next 2 the tail hole) (sometimes probably just wears simple chainmail with a few bigger pieces in some cases especially if it's hot as fuck outside) and he probably wears the same helmet no matter what else he's wearing. his helmet is detailed 2 resemble a dragon's head with like horns and stuff. sometimes will wear a green cape for the Fantasy Vibes. carries his double-sided polearm in his hands all the time but can sling it across his back if needed. i love him a lot did u know this

ram - ouughghhgoho thats a COWBOYYYY BABEY!!!!! in my beautiful mind he looks like cassidy cole kind of. he doesn't wear armor tho (it's too hot he's not a fan) but he's got a cool lookin poncho and a cowboy hat and ofc his dark blue bandanna over his face that part is ESSENTIAL. usually wears a long sleeve shirt under the poncho (ram voice guys it's cold up here in canada :[ guys it's so cold up here how do u deal) usually wears jeans. maybe chaps over top if he wants 2 REALLY look like a fuckin cowboy. cowboy boots obvi WITH SPURS!!! sometimes wears fingerless gloves if it's cold but never anything that covers his fingers. he is not handling a gun if he can't feel every detail of the damn thing with his bare fingertips. yes this does cause his hands 2 get rly fucking cold sometimes in the winter. has gotten mild frostbite over it once or twice. shut up. his eyes are uncovered but the cowboy hat kinda shadows his eyes anyway. his hair is like at shoulder length and he usually has it tied back in a ponytail out on the field. two holsters on his hip with his guns law and order babeyyyy

min - ohhhh weird little freak <3 covered in ice on the field like all the time. her legs are giant spikes of ice. her arms are also ice. she wears a black bodysuit with legs that go down 2 her mid-thigh and no sleeves but u can barely tell bc she's constantly covered in ice <3 her head is covered in ice with spikes that go back and her hair is usually tied up into a braid crown or a bun or something, anything that will keep it out of the way yk??? not that u can see it much under the . ice. literally a fucking creature. icy spikes sticking out of her joints purely bc she thinks it looks cool and intimidating and honestly it fucking!! does!!! sometimes if she needs to move better she'll keep the ice over her bodysuit to like vital places so she doesn't have 2 constantly break and refreeze it just 2 move

chungus - ilyyyy gus hes so important. shirtless ALL the time. only wears a shirt when he's out of costume and even then it's a tanktop. even if it's cold he's not wearing one out on the field. u can't make him. built like an absolute beast gets stronger/more durable the longer he's in a fight etc etc so like having lots of clothes would just get them ruined bc he's tanking hits for his teammates all the time anyway!!! u know the loz botw barbarian armor??? kind of what i picture minus the bodypaint. shorts and leg wraps (will wear shoes if he must 🙄 but only if it's cold and they HAVE to be like wrestling shoes or cleats or something) has some kind of short cape/cloak with an animal print on it. wears a skull technobladestyle that covers most of his face. also has a big thick beard and thats rly important. and thick long hair. sometimes min puts little braids in his beard. might wear arm wraps if it's cold.

alphonz - FULL armor. full paladin/knight armor. all the time. no other option. he doesn't care if it's fucking hot out he literally generates his own heat he's physically unable to be overheated. idk how 2 describe it!!! paladin armor with like lots of . bird motifs. wings engraved across the chest and back. helmet covers his whole face and has little wings on each side hermesstyle. wings also on the sabatons hermesstyle!!! idk i think about alphonz the most out of the nhw greats but i only have a vague image of his armor in my mind's eye..... fights w a large broadsword and a shield obvi. idk!! might not even wear his helmet sometimes but he glows so bright it's hard 2 see his face anyway. his hair probably sticks out of his helmet even when he's wearing it bc he either leaves it loose (really. unsettling to see his hair moving like the simurgh's when he's in his breaker state.) or has it braided (thanks min <3) idk!!! his armor is gold tho. thats important

First, HI LIAN!!! I saw Lian and I LOVE THEM, They look so cool (btw great drawing btw) and i have so many questions!! 1. Is Lian a high elder? If they are, which ship are they from? (The high elders are the only ones who has visible dragon features, normal vidyadhara only have pointy elf ears) 2. Since they’re in erudition, What kind of research do they speacialize in? 3. WHAT IS THEIR BACKSTORY!!!

Second, why must you break my heart with Kaveh and his younger sibling like BRO. WHY YOU GOTTA BE LIKE THAT!!!!!!! God the angst is hard, but for some reason, i could see kaveh’s younger sibling getting along with wanderer because yk mommy issues and similar personality, although i think at first they didnt get along with wanderer hat guy since he injured Kaveh during the akademiya extravanganza thing and if they have similar personalities then they’re going butt heads with eachother. Still i think Wanderer can understand where kaveh’s younger sibling is coming from. Also am i wrong to say that Alhaitham might have inspired them to join Haravatat??? 👀

OOODHSKSH i love talking about lian. i told my boyfriend about them last night. he had no idea what i was talking about BUT he listened anyway 🫶🫶

hsr spoilers utc. some of lian's details are still being tweaked and edited, so certain things may or may not change!

yes! lian is a high elder. you know how dan heng... does not really care about his past incarnation and his high elder-ship in general? lian was always a "I Do Not Want This Job" high elder, in most if not all of their incarnations. they're from the xianzhou zhuming originally, but have spent the last few hundred years on the luofu. dan feng's silly ass got them thrown in prison LMFAO lian spent many incarnations serving as a retainer for other high elders since they weren't particularly interested in guarding one of yaoshi's artifacts or leading a clan of their own or succeeding another high elder, but they still had some kind of duty and obligation that they had to fulfill. so. they did it by being a retainer.

well. many incarnations went by, and who was the most recent high elder who they served under? that's right. imbibitor lunae dan feng.

the difference between dan feng's relationship with them and their relationship with other high elders is that he ended up being like some kind of strange older brother figure to them, because almost immediately following their self-incarnation, they were placed under him as a retainer. so he--a bit older than them, probably 100-ish years older at the time--just had this little vidyadhara high elder kid following him around.

well. you know. things happened, and of course they supported him in his Sinful Behaviors and his Crimes. they got thrown in prison for an indefinite amount of time, which was a considerably more merciful punishment than dan feng's. anyway. jing yuan eventually lets them out (initially with the intention of returning them to prison, even if he felt like they deserved to be free) around the time blade and dan heng and yanqing have their interaction.

lian knows why he chose to free them briefly--jing yuan released them with the intention of using their loyalty to his and his companions' advantage, because he knew dan heng was around and he knew they would absolutely blitz anything that put him in danger, even if he is technically not dan feng. they tell the general off and run away when he initially releases them but they do pull through for him and the trailblazers during the fight with phantylia. and they apologize to him for telling him off bc they generally aren't that mean they're very kind and gentle actually and they're generally very logical and understanding of the nuances of situations. it's just that they were tired and angry :(

when dan heng's eternal banishment is lifted, so is their prison sentence.

but now the issue is lian doesn't really want to stay with the xianzhou alliance anymore. dan heng advises them to join the nameless (bro is like "i'm not dan feng" but has nightmares involving them that cause deeper and more stressful feelings which linger more than the other nightmares of his past life.....), to which they kindly--and a little shyly, still uncomfortable and unsure of how to interact with dan heng--accept... with welt's approval, of course.

and as an erudition pathstrider, they have always been fascinated by the universe and it's mysteries, but they haven't really had the chance to study that stuff in-depth until they joined the nameless. they're also quite skilled with mechanics and craftsmanship. they're from the zhuming after all! their skill is definitely not to be underestimated, even if they look too gentle and sweet to do any harm. himeko gets along with them very well and spends a lot of time just... talking with them, exchanging thoughts and perceptions about the universe.

i don't think anything bad really happens. i think it's just a personal preference to have real people following you HSNSHJFN.... the reason people always insist that new blogs customize their blog is because blank blogs (ones without a profile picture or banner or title) are ones that are indistinguishable from bots. basically, you can never know for sure, but blank blogs are kind of likely to be bots.

HELL YEAH.. i honestly am not a huge fan of the wci arc. i really disliked it the first time i read it but i think there r a lot of things that contributed to that. i couldn't remember a lot of the story from before, i started it in the anime and then switched over to manga at some point so it was a bit of a jarring difference, i have complicated feelings about sanji, and i was really sleep deprived when i was reading it. it was super difficult to get through cuz it just felt like everything dragged on and on.. so when i was rereading i was really dreading coming back to that arc and having to slog through it again. but actually it wasn't that bad. its still nowhere near being a favorite for me, but it does have a lot of good moments. anyways i think u will have a much better time than me and im looking forward to seeing ur reactions!! (as usual)

live action usopp seems like he has more rizz than anime/manga usopp (forgive me for using slang. i have been told it sounds really odd when i do bc it sounds like an old man using it LOL). i think that is a very interesting choice!! cuz i love usopp and i do think hes really charming and a lovely person,, but i feel like him having 0 confidence in himself is so important to his character?? but he seemed like he was an enjoyable character to watch so maybe i shouldnt get too hung up on it.

the anime notoriously does NOT know what colors things are. my favorite guy law has grey eyes in the anime and theyre gold in the manga.. which is devastating!? cuz gold is way more interesting and fitting and... yeah. i will forever be upset abt that. if they're gonna whiten all the characters to such a crazy level why cant they change the eye colors that are objectively WRONG (following manga canon)

those are my absolute favorites but other ones i like are arlong park, syrup village, punk hazard, sabaody/post war/return to sabaody, marineford (this would be another absolute favorite if not for the fact its so painful), whatever arc zoro joined in, drum island, skypeia, and.. controversially i do like fishman island despite also finding it a bit boring

i also rly enjoyed the reverie (it counts as a separate arc on the wiki) this one is apparently directly after wci.. i can never remember when it takes place chronologically. theres not really any action but i dont even care... i dont read for action

people dont like post timeskip one piece as much for some reason? its confusing to me bc almost all my favorite arcs are post timeskip.. im loving the focus shifting to the whole world.. and i love reading about huge world events. and i love theorizing about things. its all very fun

i didnt think fishman island was anywhere near as boring or badly paced as i heard. it was literally fine imo. not my favorite but not bad! except um. fishman island sanji can burn pls stop making me hate my favorite character (THOUGH I STAND BY RETURN TO SABAODY SANJI BEING WORSE THAN FISHMAN ISLAND. and i defintely see the post-timeskip haters points sometimes. there’s less time spent with the characters just. getting to interact and chill- partially bc the anime doesnt really do filler now but also partially bc now the crew is so large that oda never writes them all in one place. theyre always splitting up. and also the obvious things like robin getting sidelines and her design change, zoro is less silly, overall there’s less lightheartedness (although at times i can appreciate that). but the thing that bothers me most is it feels like oda got more brave with the off color jokes and sexualization and such. it was there pre timeskip (esp starting around thriller bark) but post timeskip its just like. sexualization and perv jokes are turned up to 200%. and yea im bitter bc sanji got worse in that aspect (although i actually prefer his post timeskip design! i like his stupid little goatee and his new suits/outfits are very nice! and his character development has obviously. gotten some spotlight) but damn if they couldnt give that to some of the other crew members too! though i digress. and ur right- the arcs and story HAVE improved and been super epic!

hmm..i think my favorite arcs would have to be [as of where i am currently] water 7/enies lobby, impel down, and dressrosa. whole cake will probably be up there when i finish it just bc of it being the My Guy Arc.

Golden Apples (Gilded Atrophy): He catches it easily, then blinks. Just make sure it doesn't break...? Like he could understand if it was a dragon egg after they got driven to extinction, but...well whatever. He carefully clears out his enderchest and builds it a nest of his own feathers. For the next 3 days, literally nothing else can touch it. Philza doesn't open the chest to check on it once, since it introduces needless risk. The egg survives! Unclear if there is an effect from being stored in a different dimension?

Where do Babies Come From?: Barely catches it. Had a home ec class where they did this exact assignment years ago...and he definitely failed because he was a stupid teen with no impulse control. Now he's a slightly less stupid adult with some impulse control! So he uses a marker to write 'don't eat' on it and puts it in his Samsung Smart Fridge. 50/50 chance this works.

Worth far more than your weight in gold: The moment it's thrown at him, the giant birb eats it. Oops. Should've given instructions first? He's a little sorry for eating a human egg, but not very sorry. (Blame Gold-Chick/Tommy for telling him humans come from eggs; Rose-Chick/Technoblade wasn't confident enough to correct him). ((Also probably for the best he ate it given [Philza] has trauma around failing to protect his own eggs))

Lighting lanterns to bring you home: He sighs. Yup. More stupid tasks. After dealing with so much godly bs, he's more wary of the seemingly easy tasks since there’s usually some horrendous caveat. Is a monster trying to eat the egg? Will it spontaneously explode? He doesn't trust it. Philza nestles the egg in his hat and just stares at it for 3 days straight. No sleep. The egg survives. He has fist fought at least six shadowy figures from the corners of his eyes.

Fault: After his decade spent as a crow, Phil is excellent at making nests! And it fits perfectly in his horns, which offer additional protection. Plus his natural dragon heat means that the egg is incubating as well. Unfortunately, while he's having fun and lots of goofs balancing an egg on his head...he's literally being hunted down by the Foundation. And when his kids are being gunned down, their safety is a high priority over a silly tournament. The egg is destroyed while he's saving his Collected from the evil dehumanizing torture agency :/ sorry :/

Mandatory Family Reunion: Catches the egg and immediately yeets it back to nail the thrower in the chest. Straight up the fluffiest scene in the entire psychological thriller is Philza and his kids bonding over an egg fight. There's banter. There's hugs. There's fake backstabbing. There's Philza gently showing Techno that his abusive upbringing is not how most households work. There's Techno subconciously beginning to treat Tommy like his little brother and trying to protect him, which is the most adorable thing Philza has ever seen. Techno laughs for the first time. Did the egg survive? Not even slightly. Does Philza care, when his son is finally starting to fit into their home? No.

The Lambs Wolves Wear: Philza neeearly drops it. He's always vigilant and knew it was being thrown, but the deliberation on revealing his fast reflexes to the monsters meant he reacted belatedly. Anyway: You gave. The starving man. An egg he can't eat? Alright. Cool. Sure. He can probably find a place to hide it for three days...? Oh. Oh nope. "Tommy" got jealous that he was being replaced and the demon immediately smote the egg. All that's left is a scorch mark. Philza collapses to his knees and tries not to cry. He doesn't expect to survive this tournament.

Lord, what fools these mortals be!: The Fae King laughs. 3 days? Trivial! He immediately creates a time bubble around himself and the carefully held egg, speeding through the liquid timestream. And...oops. He'd intended it to be three days, but overshot and broke them out after 3 months. Close enough?

Adelita - Rosabella's butterfly. I have never heard of this. Also apparently Adelita translates to 'noble'?? 3/10 I don't think it suits her and also how do you keep a butterfly as a pet.

Barber - Poppy's squirrel monkey. I guess squirrel monkeys are cute and I can see it as a pet for her but I have yet again no memory of this. 5/10

Clipper - Holly's lion cub. Apparently it is 'charmed' to stay a cub forever?? Don't know how that work or why she has a lion or why she would name it Clipper?? there are better names girl. 3/10

Carmine - Cerise's dire wolf. Okay so technically they're part of the same pack or something but it's the daughter of Littler Red Riding Hood and the big Bad Wolf. You can't go wrong with giving her a wolf friend whose name is another shade of red. 6/10

Carrolloo - Kitty's caterpillar. A sneaky little guy. From what we saw of him he compliments Kitty's personality and you know, a caterpillar with a wonderlandian? It's not like I can be mad. 6/10

Clockwork - Cedar's wooded cuckoo. Okay I do actually like this a lot. Even if we never really saw him it's a great concept for her pet to be wooden like her. Especially when you consider it would probably have to been made specifically for her. I love it 8/10

Clydesdale - Farrah's pet mouse. Don't recall and there are better mice. 2/10

Divacorn - Briar's unicorn. Absolutely slayed so hard I don't care about the name which is an astonishing feat. I mean of course Briar would have a pink unicorn it just makes sense. 8/10

Drake - Hopper's dragonfly. Drake. 2/10 Only getting extra points because it is a literal DRAGONfly. He breathes fire.

Earl Grey - Maddie's dormouse. Perfection. Best dressed of all of the pets. Is a silly little guy with a silly little hat that lives in her hat. Impeccable. 10/10

Gala - Apple's snow fox. Gala is a great name just because of the fact this it is not only a type of apple but also a fancy party. Very royal, on brand, like to curl around her neck. Iconic. 8/10

One Piece 1000 - 10 Confessions as a One Piece Fan

Although we did the Initial Thoughts a week ago (a long week ago, damn) which you can read here I wanted to do something for the official release of One Piece’s 1000th Chapter At first it started out to be ‘10 things I wanna ask Oda that I don’t think we’ll ever know’ but I couldn’t think of 10, then I was gonna do a General opinion post about it, but didn’t want it to come off too negative. So I am settling on a confessions post, which will have elements of these anyway.

So as we have a happy 1000, let’s talk about some stuff I usually don’t get to talk about in One Piece

10. Late Beginnings I think the first confession I have to have is that despite being older than One Piece I am unfortunately not a ‘Day One’ fan. In fact I think I mainly got into One Piece around mid-Whole Cake Island arc, before I had of course known about One Piece, it was a ‘Big Three’ anime after all but the most I knew about it was that they had a guy named Luff-y and another called Zorro, and it was about ‘Pirates who can’t swim’. My curiosity only developed when in a youtube deep-dive of anime clips I kept being recommended One Piece clips, and decided to give a couple a go. Most of them were Paradise arc stuff from the anime, the dub voices were mostly atrocious so I stuck to sub. I was happily surprised about the amount of fun and emotional weight these clips gave me, which led me to check where One Piece was as of current and backtrack from there (Ironically I did the same with Beastars). I did eventually get caught up around the time of the Mafia Meeting and I’ve kept up with each chapter since.

9. I mostly still prefer the Pre-Timeskip looks When I first felt this I thought it to be pretty controversial, nowadays not so much. I understand that Oda wanted to change the look for many characters but some of them did feel like a downgrade. I think the ones who got it worst was Franky, I think it’s the bulbous shoulders, Franky was no stranger to body horror from Enies Lobby to Sabaody but I kinda preferred that he still had a lot of his humanity rather than looking like an action figure. Otherwise I think Robin, Nami and Chopper had it bad, maybe Brook too but his was more fashion than design; the women in general took heavy hits by Oda’s proportion design - I mean I get it boobs are nice but proportions are what make them better - but Robin also underwent a skin color change in the anime, who pre-timeskip shaded her skin darker than in the manga and corrected it to match the manga, I think most of us would’ve preferred Robin to have kept the darker skin tone and possibly even the fringe, Robin’s hairstyle (and her fashion in general) can be hit and miss. I go to and fro about Nami, other than the general waist and bust adjustments I think it fits her character to use her sexuality a bit, she was no stranger to that pre-Timeskip, sometimes though I can’t tell whether I preferred her with short or long hair (Short was definitely better on Nojiko), I do think though that Oda could have her show less skin, she is still very pretty in outfits such as Water 7, Thriller Bark and even her fake pirate disguise in the early chapters/episodes. Finally with Chopper I think it was a bad move to alter the hat, that was a memento from his father figure Hiriluk, it’d be like if Luffy altered his straw hat or Zoro replacing Wado Ichimonji, I do also feel that the design for Chopper’s points while easier to draw don’t look as good, I think a lot of it is the scruff, or lack thereof in favour of smoothness, Walk Point is fine but Heavy Point, Guard Point and Horn Point seem less threatening, Monster Point especially too, in Enies Lobby he looked like a cave painting of menace and destruction, now he’s smoother and his scruff lighter so it’s not as good. The rest of the designs I’m quite fine with though.

8. I wish some markings stuck as well Tattoos and Scars seem to be optional in the One Piece world sometimes, unless it’s branded in molten heat like the Dragon’s hoof, Sun Pirates logo or an attack from Sakazuki. While Nami’s redesigned tattoo has stuck around and Luffy and Zoro’s scars persist, they are mainly character reminders/mysteries for huge moments in the story, and I kinda wish that some of the Straw Hats had littler markings, not just scars either. For instance, the Alabasta X on the arm, I really wish that stayed on each of the Alabasta characters’ arms since it was a symbol of friendship with Vivi, I also wish that Luffy kept the 3D2Y mark on his arm. In terms of scars though it would’ve been nice to see the characters a bit more battle-worn; Zoro’s ankle scars from Mr. 3 have faded and frankly he should be covered in little and long scratches given his fights with Mr. 1 and 2 years of Mihawk Training, Nami’s shoulder scar is hidden completely by her tattoo and she has no scars on her hand (from fake stabbing Usopp) or foot (from blocking Miss Doublefinger), Usopp himself could’ve used some small scratches because lord knows how there’s even still bones in his nose plus he was in murder island for 2 years, Chopper could at least have a small bald patch from when his shoulder was impaled and burned by Shura’s fire lance too, other than that there’s just Jimbei’s potentially missing shoulder scar from Marineford, though Oda has kept it obscured a lot so maybe that is still there. I understand why Oda doesn’t or forgets to, but it would’ve been nice if we lived in a vacuum of no time limits and whatnot.

7. Dead End Adventure is my favourite One Piece film I don’t know what it is, but Dead End Adventure just gives me the most fun out of the One Piece films. It has a good side plot and the side character Shuraiya was a blast of a character. Granted, Gaspard wasn’t too good of a villain side for actually harming the straw hat and his defeat was a bit underwhelming but the race, the settings it was all fun. It is not to say I don’t enjoy any other One Piece movies, I delight in the horror fuel of Baron Omatsuri - and that killer final punch - and Z’s tragic tale of a fallen marine, Strong World has that epic entrance to the party and Stampede also had some great team up moments and fantastic writing for Usopp and Smoker but Dead End Adventure always feels like the movie I could watch in any mood.

6. Skypeia and Fishman Island are some of my favourite arcs While I can understand the criticism of the Long Ring Long Land arc (especially since the anime dragged out the Davy Back Fight) it surprised me that people found Skypeia and Fishman Island arcs to be boring or less entertaining than previous arcs. Everyone has their preferences of course but I felt that Skypeia and Fishman Island were very powerful arcs especially with the theme of racism. Both had glorious setting design different to the common customs of the world we had seen, Oda made both Skypeia and Fishman Island feel very much lived in with its own budding culture and prejudices, with a villain who was dead set on destroying everything just to have their way. With Enel and his priests we were able to push several characters to newer limits, with Robin showing her fighting capabilities, Zoro learning his projectile slashes, Chopper having to endure fighting 3 priests and even Usopp growing all the more braver in the face of seemingly indestructible opponents and later gaining access to the dials. With Fishman Island it was different because it was basically a ‘flex arc’: where the main villain is meant to be a stepping stone rather than a threat but even then the symbolism of the enemy is what’s significant with them, the inherited hatred of humans. But at the same time we do learn new strengths from the crew; Red Hawk, the use of armament Haki, Skywalk, Hell Memories, Franky Shogun, Usopp’s pop greens, Nami’s weather eggs, Brook’s Soul Solid and his new DF power (which is possibly an awakening), as well as the first true steps of Jimbei joining the crew. The biggest strength of both arcs is the flashback as well, like Wano would in present time both arcs demonstrated that Oda can carry a story without his main characters and still keep it as captivating as ever, be it the friendship of Noland and Calgara, the tragedies of Otohime and Fisher Tiger or the life of Kozuki Oden and the man who would be Pirate King. And the impact of Fishman Island and Skypeia’s flashbacks both come back around in Dressrosa with the dwarves and Koala, and Fishman Island really does kick off the whole Yonko saga with Luffy challenging Big Mom, these arcs were definitely significant as they were entertaining with silly faces, strong fights, challenging themes, lorebuilding, good side characters and unique twists. And the overall message of healing from the past is still significant to this day. Through Wyper’s sacrifice and the Bell ringing to Jimbei giving blood and the Ryugu royals wanting to attend the Reverie, it is all very powerful stuff and while the arcs are similar in nature its their similarities that make me love them. Also the cover stories with Enel and Gedatsu on their own mini adventures are fun

5. I really want to know where Ghin is Ghin/Gin was such an interesting character in Baratie. Given that this was right before Arlong Park too so we had not seen a character conflict with different loyalties in One Piece until then, his gratitude to Sanji against his loyalty to Krieg created a fantastically complex character, but then he left and we didn’t hear about him ever since. Did he survive Krieg’s poison gas? Is he still with Krieg? One reactor of the episode said “maybe he’ll become the next Don” which was a concept I kinda really liked. The guy was pretty strong given that he had bested Sanji at that time, and since he didn’t appear in a cover story my mind does wonder. It’s not just Ghin either, a lot of the early East Blue characters kinda fell off the map; where is Morgan? Last we saw he was sleeping as he sailed past Jango, where is Kuro? For someone wanting to resume piracy after some years off he has been very quiet, where is Krieg? Only Arlong and Morgan were arrested and the latter escaped so the rest of these characters are a mystery. Recently in Wano I am still wondering where Law’s crew that he brought to Onigashima went, as well as Caribou - where is that slippery bugger?

4. Basil Hawkins is probably one of my Top 5 Supernova There’s something about that dude I gravitate towards, which makes it quite frustrating when the anime decides to add extra malice and creepy faces to him. Hawkins in Wano is still a victim, if anything he is simply a prisoner with better working conditions, if he thought he could survive escaping Kaido he would but he doesn’t so he won’t, he’s also gonna feel sore about Drake betraying him and letting Law cut him up, so it annoys me that Hawkins is seen like a villain. Not only does he have an extremely interesting Devil Fruit and creativity with it but he’s also audaciously confident in his fortunetelling, even Luffy ran from Kizaru at Sabaody while Hawkins looked at his cards while Kizaru was about to boot him to holy hell and said ‘nah I’m not dying today’, you gotta respect that moxie. At the same time though as a pirate he has that shades of grey element, he’s okay with letting some of his crew be disposable and we don’t even know to what end, he doesn’t look like a guy too concerned about being Pirate King or having riches. I also get a good laugh in that his hobbies are interior design, it makes me really want to see what the inside of his ship looks like. I think as a top 5, I have Luffy, Zoro, Law, Hawkins and then Kid, Bege, Killer and Bonney are not far behind with Apoo dead last because fuck Apoo. Kid and Killer are cool but I do feel like they need a bit more character, Bege earned some points in being funny and his care for his family in WCI and then there’s Bonney - I really hope we dig into Bonney’s significance, she feels really important and that mystery keeps her fresh whenever we see her. Drake too has only really started to become interesting because of SWORD, we could still see more fleshing but for now he is like bottom 3. It’s a shame Urouge has to be so low, he’s not bad but he’s not spectacular either, gotta admire his hobby of lovemaking though, you do you Urouge.

3. I don’t think that either of the ‘Most Beautiful Women in the World’ are the Most Beautiful Women in One Piece The in-world consensus seems to be that the Most Beautiful Women in the World are Boa Hancock, Komurasaki and Shirahoshi, and granted they are very pretty, but the most? Not for me. I mean, y’all know that Nico Robin, Nami and Vinsmoke Reiju exist right? Makino as well is stunning, as are Tashigi, Bonney, Margaret, Ishilly, Nojiko, Vivi, Rebecca, Pudding, Perona, Cosette and I’m sure a few others, realistically I think they could all give them a run for their money. I get how for those three their beauty is a plot point (Boa it’s drilling home Luffy’s obliviousness to it, Komurasaki it’s the swerve of her not being awful and for Shirahoshi it’s due to Vander Decken IX pulling the creep factor on her) but it would’ve worked the same way without the ‘world’ hyperbole I think. As much as Oda is iffy with proportions and rarely writes women with as much attention as the boys he sure knows how to make them attractive.

2. Some of my favourite individual Straw Hat scenes aren’t in Canon If I were to have a top 5 moments of each character, it may surprise you that some of it comes from movies or filler episodes, particularly Sanji’s flexing on Jessica in the G8 Arc (in fact, Jonathon is one of my favourite marines, T-Bone is in there too, but I don’t have room to fit that). Some are of course obvious because of how iconic they are but it does go to show that sometimes filler isn’t all bad. 1. I’ve learned quite a lot due to One Piece Since my fascination started with a deep dive of checks, I did start to learn a hell of a lot more not just about the franchise itself (you know it’s almost catching up BATMAN on total sales, which has been around more than 3 times longer?) but I also learned a lot about stuff Oda has used as a reference key; folklore, actual pirates, actual practices, the amount of detail Oda puts in is astounding. Which does lean into another thing I’ve learned, One Piece has changed the way I approach some of my ideas for writings and whatnot, before I would be afraid of either spoonfeeding or being too vague, Oda’s mastery not only in storytelling but character development, character quality and pacing has both helped and intimidated me a lot of times, I mean consider this: it took hundreds of chapters to get a proper backstory on Luffy, the main character, how unprecedented is that? Often I could fall into the trap of making sure you knew everything about the main character from day one but now I wonder about what’s necessary for the now and what can I work on. Another thing that both inspires and intimidates me is his drawing, I suck at colours and still do, and a lot of Oda’s attention to detail is incredible considering he’s gotta whip that out on the weekly, but at the same time you see some of his rough sketches and they’re pretty similar to a rough sketch of my own, so in a way it’s a ‘there’s still hope for you’ moment seeing those. I can’t say I’ve learned Japanese from listening to One Piece, but I have picked up on some stuff, some hiragana there, some phonetics here, I also appreciated some of the stuff kaizokuou-ni-naru does (I won’t tag them in case that’s a bit rude to do it out of the blue but check out their tumblr) when it came to deciphering the Japanese of chapters and the little puns and hints Oda puts in his native tongue. And of course any One Piece fan has learned one thing above all else: Patience. Oda himself included, it took over 20 years to get to 1000 chapters and we still have plenty of questions to ask, plenty of islands to see and thus plenty of chapters to go. So Straw Hats off to you Oda, and a happy 1000th!

kinda dumb but heres my mlp headcanons!

you can read my garbled text below! sorry its so repetitive lol i kinda rushed it!

HI i'm not the first one to do this (duh) but i wanted to do my own! some info abt the ponies; Theyre all different types of ponies sent from different parts of the pony...earth? To this magic school so they can become the defenders of equestria and stuff! The series surrounds them becoming friends while going thru character arcs and stuff. The villains are all the same but are being sent out by one being or something so the final villain/season revolves around testing the truth of their friendship!! Also they like......live there so theyre all like stranger roomates! also theyre all modeled a little differently so none of them look the same Twilight Sparkle -shes still a unicorn(at first) -shes very hipster and standoffish at first. -She has a really bad memory regarding things from the past, but easily remembers things from the present onward (this is important for her character arc) -she wears her hair up most of the time in a messy bun/ponytail, but sometimes she lets it down -guess what guyz!! she cant see at all lol so yeah..she finally gets the glasses she deserves (if ur wondering yeah she had big dorky glasses as a kid) character arc -shes princess luna!! thats why she has such a bad memory from the past. Princess celestia made this entire school a thing because she wanted to give her sister a redo since twilight messed up so bad in the past and she thinks giving her a chance to experience friendship will help prevent repeating the past. -cus of this i gave her a new cutiemark bc her old one doesnt represent that moon princess vibe! -also she has a really big horn since shes royalty! This also gives her a reason to become an alicorn once she finds out shes princess luna. AND IT EXPLAINS HER NAME FDHJSKF (shes the last to get her character arc) Rarity -shes still very prissy and loves fashion but loves to dress her friends up -her hair moves really pretty in water bc shes a MERPONY! heck yea -she has a mole under her eye -she hav hooves on land and a tail in water (like h2o just add water vibes) character arc -shes originally very standoffish and doesnt want to accept spending time with different species of ponies, but when her sister (Sweetie belle who is also a merpony) becomes friends with a pegasus(scootaloo) and an earthpony (apple bloom) she learns to be more accepting and earns the generosity element (Shes the second to have a character arc) Fluttershy -shes a flutterpony! so she is very very teeny -her hair is a lot longer and covers one eye (until her character arc) -she's super meek and has a very big head and ears and really skinny legs! very cute aah character arc -She used to be really scared of everything until she gets in an intimidating situation with like a dragon or something and then she realizes she has the power to talk to animals in both a strict but loving way. She learns to stop being as meek and rarity makes her a little hair clip so she can get her hair out of her face and........boys..........get this.......she has heterochromia. (shes the third to have a character arc and this starts her love for animals and gets her the kindness element!!) Apple Jack -shes a regular ol earthpony :~P -she wears a handkerchief in her hair instead of a hat bc hats are hard to draw and i think she looks cuter in this lol. -freckles..........everywhere -she wears her hair in a bunch of different ways!! country girl i love eeyouuuu -she doesnt speak a lot in the beginning :/ shes kinda standoffish and she has a very lovely country accent and i love her (also she has clydesdale hooves hehe) character arc -applejack deserves a good arc and they keep focusing on her stupid parents............I WANNA SEE MY GIRL GO THRU TROUBLE!! okay get ready -she is very scared of being tomboyish bc she doesnt want to be made fun of by her friends so she hides her tomboyish nature and how STRONG she is bc/ she doesnt want to seem boyish. she forces herself to act really girly but a situation occurs or something and she is forced to show her strength and come clean to the others. she is really scared but because she tells them the truth she gets the element of honesty and the others are like "were glad u told us because youre our friend and u shouldnt have to hide anything from us!" yeah anyways i love her and from that point on she is more tomboyish but still girly! (shes the fifth to get her character arc) Rainbow Dash -shes still a pegasus! -i love her so much but people think she's annoying and always make her buff and calm but i did the OPPOSITE i made her SUPER PUNY and SUPER FAST and MORE ANNOYING because i LOVE HER!!! -she fluff up like a bird when she's upset! -because she's smaller she has bigger ears and wings >:] -shes very conceited (At first) and bosses people around (even tho shes so puny) character arc -she's a really selfish character before hand but then everyone gets into some sort of danger and she risks herself just to save them!! bc of this she gets the loyalty element and cares a lot more about everyone else afterwards and is still annoying but is able to stop herself from being so selfish! (shes the fourth to get her character arc!) Pinkie Pie -shes a crystal pony! -when she first is introduced she forces herself to be regal and in her crystal form -she cant let herself laugh around the other ponies bc she doesnt want them to see her as silly/not good enough/not serious -she has a really 80s spunky vibe and wears roller skates -yeah she still has that twitch thing but instead of it being her tail its her little hair curl coming from the top of her head -gummy is a croc she finds and decides to keep (after her arc) character arc -in like the second episode or something, a curse is placed on the characters where they all look different, but pinkie isnt affected, and after seeing everyone laughing and struggling with the temporary defects, she starts laughing and reverts from a crystal pony to her normal state and her hairs all poofy and its real cute and shit.........she gets the element of laughter and everyones like "whyd u hide ur happiness?" and she says she didnt wanna get judged and god.......its jsust real nice (shes the first one to get an arc) anywayz this took a long time to write for no reason and its just SO MUCH if u actually read this i love u!!! this was inspired a lot by jenny nicholson's next gen ideas!!!! 100% creds to her for the inspo<3 i changed a lot of things but i still based some ideas from her!

danny phantom, season 3, episodes 7-13 thoughts! cannot believe im finishing this series so fast. ...cannot believe it ended like that...uh. one of the weirdest finales to a show I think I've seen, it really stood out against the rest of the series, and not in a good way, in my opinion. I paused to yell in caps lock...several times, I think, out of anger... BUT. ANYWAY, HERE WE GO.

I shouldn't have watched that because now I'm mad. valerie sweetie im SO sorry you shouldve been more present. it felt like..if they knew this season was going to be short, and the last season, they should've spent more time wrapping up EVERYONE'S plot lines for the entire season. imagine how cool it wouldve been if every single ep of season 3 was working towards something, a big, nice wrap up at the end, with nothing feeling TOO rushed because they'd been heading towards the End for the whole season....

I will probably end up writing a follow up full series thoughts post. In a couple of days so I can sit with my thoughts. BUT. overall, I really liked the show! (ignoring the finale and some of the moments that aged pretty poorly...) it was charming and a fun concept and very fun to watch in general :) and I am pretending the finale didnt happen <3 and I’m gonna dive RIGHT into the dp tags and mix fanart and posts in my queue, very excited to run and look at that 🏃🏻 (and, of course, make more fanart myself hehe >:3)

REMAKE

Squall knewit was a bad idea to trust Irvine with leading his team. He just thought Zelland Rinoa would be able to balance out his… weirdness, for lack of a betterword, but he was sorely mistaken.

So now hewas watching his girlfriend and his two best friends… and apparently, their newpet.

Except for alittle, trifle fact: it wasn’t exactly a pet.

“Irvine…it’s… I can’t even…” He dragged a hand down his face. Urgh!

Zellshadowboxed, trying to avoid eye contact. Rinoa took Squall’s hand in hers andsqueezed it. Irvine casually touched his hat.

“Yes, it is a real dragon, but I canexplain everything…”

Squall narrowed his eyes at him. “Youbetter be convincing.”

Irvine cleared his voice. “Yeah. Sobasically a month ago Selphie told me about her new crowdfunding project forTrabia Garden.”

“What of it?” asked Squall. Hestarted to realize that maybe it was a bad, bad idea trusting Irvine. IfSelphie was involved too…

“She told me she wanted something bigbecause they need a lot of money and a concert simply would not cut it. Weneeded something unexpected because we’ve already tried everything we couldimagine. That’s when the girls had their girl night.”

Squall sighed. “You better beconvincing and short.”

“So, you were in Esthar with Zell.Rinoa was all alone and invited the girls over. They watched your father’smovie.”

Oh boy. Squall had the sinkingfeeling he wouldn’t like this. At all.

“Of course Seph was all excitedbecause she saw your father slay a dragon in the movie and she thought it wouldbe such a great idea to remake that movie with a real dragon. Rinoa approved!”

“What!!!” Rinoa and Squall screamedin unison. “I didn’t approve. Selphie just heard the first part of thesentence. She bolted out before I had a chance to finish!” said Rinoa, quicklyturning to her boyfriend and squeezing his hand, for good measure. She reallyhoped Squall didn’t think she was involved in that crazy idea…

“Yeah sure, anyway Seph came to myroom to explain this idea of the movie’s remake. She says, don’t you think it’sa great idea, Irvy, and I say, of course, darling, you have the best ideas. Thenshe says-“

“Irvine, convincing, and short.”

“Yeah, ok, ok! Jeez, I just wanted toexplain everything. So fast forward to two days ago when you assignedthe mission to me, Zell and Rinoa. I go to Seph and say, hi darling, I have amission, and she says, yay Irvy, where are you going? I say, the Island Closestto Hell, and she says-“

“I said short. Please.” Squallpinched the bridge of his nose. He felt a massive headache incoming.

“Ok Commander Grumpy. She asked me tocapture a dragon for her movie-“

Zell stopped shadowboxing. “Just forthe record,” he said, watching Squall, “I said it was a stupid idea.”

Great, even Zell thought it was astupid idea…

“Yeah, well you’re a party pooper so itdoesn’t count-“

“And I also said it was a crazy idea”Rinoa interrupted, squeezing again Squall’s hand. He absentmindedly squeezedback, though it lacked its usual strength.

“Yeah, yeah, duly noted, you both knoweverything. Anyway, we captured the dragon, and basically, here it is!”

Squall watched Irvine’s grin beforedragging his free hand down his face. “You seriously thought it was a good ideacapturing a Ruby Dragon to keep it as a pet?!”

“Not as a pet! We’re not so silly,”said Irvine, crossing his arms on his chest, almost offended. “As an actor!”

Selphie chose that precise moment torun out of Garden and launch herself in her boyfriend’s arms. “Yay, you’reback! Oh my gosh, you brought the dragon too! Thank you thank you thank you!”In her enthusiasm, she let Irvine go to crush both Zell and Rinoa in a painfulbear hug. “Thank you, guys!”

Finally, Selphie turned to Squall. “Wecan keep it, right? I need it for my movie remake! We’ll have a blast! And we’llraise money for Trabia, too! Can we, Squall?”

Squall sighed. He surely wasfacepalming a lot that morning. “It’s a Ruby Dragon,” he said.

“Yeah, so what?” asked Selphie,blinking.

“It’s dangerous. There are childrenin Garden…”

“But Trabia is our sister Garden!They need us! And we need that to help them! Please, Squall! Can we keepit? Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with a cherry on top?”

“Selphie…”

“Two cherries on top!”

“Selphie stop, you’re not making anysense. We need to – hey wait a minute,” he said, narrowing his eyes at her. “Yousaid we’ll have a blast? You don’t mean-“

“I mean exactly what you think Imean. Tee-hee! You’ll be a wonderful knight! Just don’t slay the dragon forreal, ok? It’s soooooo cute, I think I’ll call it Cherry.”

“Selphie-“

“Rinoa will be the Sorceress, of course.Don’t worry Rin, your boyfriend will keep you safe! And Irvy and Zell-“

And so Selphie kept talking and Squall was not able to stop her anymore,and Balamb Garden admitted its first Ruby Dragon pet.

“It was nice of you, you know,” saidRinoa when they finally got back to their apartment, after hours of Selphieplanning her movie remake and Squall trying to convince her it wasn’t such agreat idea keeping an effing dragon in the premises of Garden.

“Letting Seph keep the dragon for hermovie,” she answered, throwing her keycard on the coffee table. “It means a lotto her, you know.”

“I’m kind of worried. There are smallchildren here. And the Training Center wasn’t built for monsters like a RubyDragon.”

“Well, you keep T-Rexes in there…”

“Yeah, but dragons are stronger.”Squall pinched the bridge of his nose, thinking. He could try and lower thedragon’s strength level with GFs… maybe close off a specific area in theTraining Center… reinforce rules about training for SeeDs and students… it couldwork, but first-

Feeling Rinoa’s eyes on him, Squall openedhis own to watch her curiously. “What?” he asked, a little wearily. She hadthat smile on her face, the one she always sported when she felt she hadfigured something out before he did. It was usually true.

“You’re thinking about what you coulddo to make this safe for everyone and humor Selphie with her movie. Right?”

Squall sighed and nodded.

“You’re so sweet,” said Rinoa, comingcloser to loosely wrap her arms around his waist.

“Trabia is our sister Garden,” heanswered, embracing her, while she raised on her tiptoes to brush her lips againsthis. “If this can help them, then we should at least think about it.”

They were silent for a little while,him thinking about security and her watching him.

“What?” he asked again.

“You always think about people andwhat they need and how to help,” she answered, watching him with love-strickeneyes. “That’s why I love you.”

the live action seems to play nami and zoro as much bigger grumps and ive heard zoro doesnt joke around much and im.... honestly rly worried to watch and be disappointed by that. although tbh nami not being super goofy makes sense to me .. zoro... my beloved zoro.. mackenyu (?) is a perfect zoro in terms of looks so i just hope i love his characterization of him too!!

ok honestly ive never abt eye colors?? i saw recently that robins eyes are actually supposed to be brown not blue tho.. and like... wow... both are so lovely i cant decide what i like more.

luffy: tbh.. like a light reddish brownish color.. i have reasons for this but i cant tell u yet.

nami: a soft orange. she is just so orange. or green!! like the leaf on an orange..

my interest has kinda faded with croc too as he hasnt shown up as much…but i know he comes back and when he DOES show up im always so pleasantly surprised i gotta list him. OKAY. SO. TWO VERY POWERFUL SCENES: i watched both nami’s “help me” at arlong park and robin’s “i want to live” at enies lobby in both sub and dub just now…and for those two in particular. damn theyre actually ALL GOOD?? LIKE ALL REALLY WELL DONE?? although. my favorite dub moment by far. is robin’s “i want to live” in dub. her english voice is my fav compared to the sub by far. if you havent heard it i HIGHLY recommend you check it out like please. for me. literally gives me chills every. time.

tbh that is one of my only major issues with the live action. i actually prefer live action luffy (DONT KILL ME. ITS ONLY BY A LITTLE BIT. INAKI IS JUST SO WONDERFUL AND ITS A COOL ALTERNATE TAKE TO HIS CHARACTER. HE’S..NICER. MORE KIND? BUT NOT IN A WAY THAT I FEEL ERASES MANGA/ANIME LUFFY) tbh the live action tweaked each character a bit. nami is more serious and grumpy, zoro is WAY TOO EDGY?? (zoro is the one i was least happy with) and isnt boisterous nor does he laugh enough (esp for early/pre ts zoro) he does great with the action scenes though. usopp is the closest but he feels more like. suave about his lying whether than nervous? i dont mind it tho. jacob is great. taz is a good sanji but melontee once called him “chad british sanji” and now i cant get tht terrible phrase out of my head KJDNFKVN it really is a fun ride tho!!
