I hate when people say there's no women in spn. That's not true. That is not the issue. The issue is how the women in spn (who do exist) are treated.

LITERALLY IT'S NOT TRUE IT'S NOT TRUE. I have complained at LENGTH about how the women are treated but they ARE there and fascinating when under writers who care about them like. You can't tell me the show that has Rowena doesn't have women. The show that has 5-10 "this is the protagonists as a woman" mirrors every season. The show that has God's Secret Evil Sister. People will read intent and character into every twitch of Jensen Ackles eyelid, they will figure out watsonion explanations for the retconned plothole weird pivots in emotional arcs for every other major character, but they won't extend that to women. And, worse, they misrepresent them if they do. They cast Lisa as a romantic villain (Lisa??????). They strip out Charlie's issues and make her a bubbly gay best friend with her life together (Charlie???? Who drops everything changes her identity every 2 years max???). They make Kelly Castiel's bland normie best friend slash dead wife (YIKES) (KELLY'S ONE OF THE WEIRDEST ONES!!!). They say [insert woman here] is boring and then go mad for the exact same character as a man.

Luckily for me I am in the sector that does care about women characters !! So when I see it it generally feels more baffling than frustrating but when it's concentrated into the tags of one post...sickening. also doesn't speak well of the people they're following who post about spn if they somehow get the impression that there's no women or femslash like. Get friends with better taste.
