i understand why it happened, but i really am so sad that free! ended with actually caring about the sport rather than the theme of “you need to care about yourself and each other before anything else” that the first two seasons established

#s2 especially popped off w us never even actually knowing how they placed in that relay #until just a last-minute shot of the group photo with the plaque underneath it saying they got 7th #like. no one acknowledges it. bc that wasn’t the point of it #like. i get that they did actually have to care about winning and times in order to progress their careers and also bring fresh ideas to #the story. but like. idk. they could’ve done it a little better imo #they could’ve still ended with the core of ‘I don’t care bc caring about my friends is actually what makes me good anyway’#anyway. i could ramble about this forever. free!es supremacy #i say things #free!
