i've seen a lot of dp fans in the dpxdc fandom talk about not having access to comics so here. it's completely free, good quality scans (for most things), basically any dc comic you could want is there. you should have an adblocker but the ads aren't the worst if you don't, just noticeable and annoying. you're not gonna get a virus, i've been using the site for years, as have many other fans.
if you genuinely want to read the comics, take advantage of the sites comic fans have been using. there's new and old stuff and everything in between. crossovers too. whatever you want to read, you'll find there.

recently realised shakespeare is actually kind of very good & i've seen very few actually good productions of his work. i want to watch more of his work but i have no idea where to start and i'd prefer to avoid films where possible, so are there any recordings on youtube or some google drive or anywhere else online of productions that you know are good, or if not any movie adaptations you think are alright? btw, your blog is pretty cool!!
I completely get the struggle--good shakespeare is unfortunately pretty hard to come by out in the world. I'd love to give some suggestions!! This is gonna be pretty non-comprehensive unfortunately bc most of the best Shakespeare I've seen is...live </3 but I'll give u some places to start, anyway!
So I know you said you'd like to steer clear of movies, and I totally get that bc I honestly do the same, so I'm only gonna rec one:
Baz Luhrman's Romeo + Juliet is genuinely a fantastic adaptation. It's well-acted, well conceived, and it's genuinely just fun to watch all around, and Shakespeare should (above all else, imo) be fun to watch.
Now some non-movies!!
I've no doubt you've encountered it bc it's everywhere, but the Much Ado About Nothing with David Tennant and Catherine Tate is an absolute delight any day of the year.
A lot of Shakespeare companies started offering online programming because of the pandemic, and some of them are still doing it! American Shakespeare Center has a few of their plays available for virtual ticket purchase (I recommend Henry V and Macbeth, I wasn't a huge fan of their All's Well but I'm also not a huge fan of All's Well in general, so take my word or don't) (it says that Macbeth isn't available for some reason but if you poke around on the website the links lead you to you can still purchase it from the calendar I think? Technology is weird, I dunno)
If you're in the UK (or have a VPN that can set ur location to the UK) then the RSC's 2021 Winter's Tale is available until April (so hurry up if u wanna see it lol)
Along that line, RSC has a lot of their stuff recorded and on DVD, so if there's a particular play you're dying to see, they've probably got a version of it, and given that it's the RSC, it's probably at least a comprehensible and well-acted version (everyone's got opinions abt the RSC and I'm no exception, but whatever I think, I've seen them do some damn good stuff so I say go for it) (just make sure, if ur gonna buy a DVD, that it's compatible with ur DVD player, I think their more recent stuff is region 0 but I'm not sure, and it's caused issues for me in the past!!)
If you've ever seen a good Shakespeare play, it's worth checking the company that did it to see if they've got any online programming as well! Look for shows in your area, try to find a company that does classics, maybe look for some outdoor Shakespeare once we hit summer (great thing abt outdoor Shakespeare is that its usually free and you can just leave whenever if you're not enjoying it) and take a chance on a college production or two? They can surprise you
I think that's it for now, I'm sorry I don't have more to offer but unfortunately, I just happened to get lucky with a few really excellent local sources, so I don't have much to offer in terms of what's available online. If anyone has anything to add, please reblog and add on, I'm always looking for more recs, and I'm sure anon is too. Thanks so much for dropping by the blog!!!

Hi, I hope you're having a nice weekend. Do you have a fic recs for Spider-Woman MJ based on your sweet new art on ao3?
Thanks nonny, hope you're enjoying your weekend, too! It's not new / I'm just uploading some work from Tumblr to AO3, but my Spider-Woman MJ x No-bite Peter piece goes well with the old rules don't fly anymore by @i-lovethatforme, which is FFH but if MJ had gotten bitten -- spoiler: she's still a Spider-disaster with one brain cell and a massive crush :))))
I had started a similar fic but it's in WIP purgatory now -- have a snippy anyway <3
Those two nerds were at it again, probably whispering to each other about Spider-Woman and their latest theories about her superpowers or secret identity.
Peter and Ned were the closest things MJ had to friends at Midtown, but that doesn't make their incessant gossiping any less annoying or, if she's being honest, terrifyingly accurate at times.
Hitching her art portfolio up under her arm, she marches over towards them, intent on giving them a little scare.
Except as she gets closer, she can hear their conversation and it's definitely not about Spider-Woman—well, technically it is, but they don't know that.
"She’s awesome," Peter sighs dreamily, "she’s funny in a sort of dark way, and sometimes I catch her looking at me…"
MJ gulps. She wasn't supposed to hear that, but her legs won't stop moving and she continues careening towards the table where Peter and Ned are sitting, helpless to stop her momentum.
"What up, dorks? Excited about the science trip?" she interrupts, pretending she didn't just overhear them talking before.
"Hey, uh, yeah!" Peter replies quickly, cutting Ned off from saying something. "We’re just talking about the trip."
"Yeah, and Peter’s plan," Ned grins.
"You have a plan?" She raises an eyebrow.
"I don’t-I don't have a plan," Peter stammers, eyes darting at Ned, who attempts some poor excuse about collecting tiny spoons and actually winks back.
Peter stares daggers back at his friend, then glances back up at MJ, nodding in agreement.
"Oh. Okay, well...that was a real roller coaster," she frowns. Then she hesitates, wanting to leave on a droll note instead of whatever that was. "By the way, travel tip: You should probably download a VPN on your phone, just so that the government can’t track you while we’re abroad."
Good job, Jones. Way to show off your tinfoil-hat side to the only people who don’t think you’re a complete psycho.
Before Peter can reply, MJ rushes off with her art portfolio clamped under her arm, knuckles white as she grips the edges, heart pounding.
Does Peter Parker like her? She's pretty sure he was talking about her, but what if he meant some other girl with a dark sense of humor?
The thought of that annoys her—not in a jealous way exactly, but maybe a little bit.
She's been watching him for a while actually, and she selfishly doesn't want anyone else to notice Peter Parker—at least, not in the way she has. Which sounds possessive and weird, so she decides to drop the entire train of thought and avoid thinking about Peter Parker for the rest of the day.
