The next question of course becomes what ARE their confirmation saints
Bob... is not terribly likely to have picked his own, I guess? My impression is that in his time period Confirmation would have been administered very young (certainly before First Communion). I feel like he should get an intellectual saint anyway, though. Very tempted to use his medieval Englishness as an excuse to assign him St. Bede.
Murphy I would love to say has St. Gabriel, especially given that Karrin Murphy is under his patronage whether she likes it or not. However, the patron saint of police officers is St. Michael and the patron of the Chicago PD in particular is St. Jude, and those are both such good choices for her that she kinda has to have one or the other.
(St. Jude would 1000% be Harry Dresden's patron saint, of course. But if he's not converting, I feel like at least one of the Murphys should have Jude, you know?)
Have realized that in TV Dresden continuity you can still make a good case for Murphy being Catholic (Cuban-Irish-American), and furthermore it's almost certain that Bob was Catholic (twelfth-century Saxon Englishman).
Now I'm not saying either of them are Catholics in good standing, given that one is divorced and the other is a disembodied necromancer, and all. What I am saying is that it would be very fun to A) sic a hypothetical Michael on them both to come home or B) just have them comparing Confirmation saints while Harry stares in bewilderment.
#i ALSO don't know what the feminine of jude is but shh#...is it judy???#anyway. St. Michael is obviously a good fit for Karrin 'angel of justice with a flaming sword' Murphy even APART from any Sword suitability#but St. Jude the patron of lost causes/the impossible/the hopeless and despaired?#EXTREMELY apt for all the heroes of this series and particularly for Harry or Murphy#...for Connie Murphy I think he might be just a hair ahead of St. Michael#series: he died doing the right thing
