i dont normally post about this outside my very very small circle of best friends due to The General Audience Here but i do actually think disco elysium has one of the best depictions of actual real-world masculinity i’ve ever seen. like between harry’s feelings of incompetence and his physical self-image and his need to be seen as an authority all getting conflated and kim’s very specific type of stoicism being reinforced (imo) Quite A Lot by his clothes and his car and generally very particular self-image and jean’s entire ~~bröderbund~~ situation it’s like. yeah man. yeah.
