Trying to knit my first pair of socks and...

Man...

I'm not a fast knitter but imagine making all your socks this way. No wonder darning them is such an art-form, you want those suckers to last for all the time you put into them.

#sable's brain junk #knitting #need to consolidate my personal tags i think #anyway this project is inspired both by the several unused skeins of sock yarn in my stash #and my perpetual struggle for good socks #i think i'm just going to knit all my boot socks and stuff from now on bc good wool/cotton socks are impossible to find in women's sizes #i think about this shit and a part of me wants to see a historical fibre-crafts community in full swing #bc like imagine an entire household of extended family moms and aunts and grandmas spinning and knitting and weaving all day #they'd get so much done
