One of my classmates has asked twice this week for advice about cooking and food shopping and she's complained throughout the year about not knowing how to make her student loan last. Yet every suggestion we gave she shot down 'no I don't like that' 'I'm not doing that' like girlie if you can't afford your current spending habits you're gonna have to change them

#student living #like i know the cost of living crisis is ridiculous but you aldo cant indulge your every whim. middle class students seem to have the most #difficulty accepting that they cant finance the same lifestyle their parents provide for them and have to change their habits #like yes it sucks but you cant stand there and complain that you cant afford basics while indulging in festival tickets that cost you #thousands and constantly driving back home every weekend then complaining about how much your spending in fuel like yeah no sht #gotta make compromises that means not buying expensive shellfish jesus christ eating the same meals freezing your food & eating leftovers #she was surprised that my weekly shop costs less than £20 then immediately shot down every suggestion i gave like thats why its cheap #most of my suggestions werent ridiculous budget cutting type things it was literally like freezing fresh veg instead of throwing it out and #she turned her nose up about it and was like i prefer my veg fresh cus i care about my health maam your eating chips and gravy hop off #freezing your veg when you first get it is gonna be better for your health than leaving it for days to lose nutrients before you use it #anyway this happened hours ago now but i got pelted with hail and snow on the walk home and was in a foul mood thats only just passed
