The first church I ever went to, where I was baptized when I was seven, always smelled good to me
And I sometimes wonder how much of my falling in love with my current church was because I walked in and it had that smell I associated with churches
Wood and carpet and old books
#I think the buildings are about the same age tbh??#it was an LCMS (one of the smaller conservative Lutheran denoms)#but we only attended for a couple of years#if we’d stayed I probably wouldn’t be Christian now tbh#anyway the image in my icon is a pic at my current church
