tl; dr if Cromwell did not destroy his partner(s) IN the reformation, he certainly destroyed partners of /in the reformation.
#at a certain point we're just hair splitting#anyway that part of the biography was the weakest imo#a) it underrates AB's influence when he's spent the previous chapters explaining what an active and important reformer she was#b) she was not the only one/ reformer destroyed in that coup.#it the rest were collateral then they were pretty costly 'collateral'#as far as it goes w/ the english reformation#and/or reform in general#*if the rest#to eliminating queen anne...as it were#it's interesting bcus he subsumed some of ives thesis and rejected other parts#'the case was abominable' was where he had it right
