I am still so fascinated by erathis in this telling as both an empty space and the undeniable looming presence: the emissary, for one, whose purpose is a mystery to us as of now, but also the very reach of her province being civilization, law, peace
the other gods rightfully see this as something that must be done for the sake of Everything—melora in particular, and I am obsessed with how their tempestuous relationship that is “tempered only when civilization and nature are in balance” has already been shown—but destroying this last bastion of progress and civilization, whose ambitions and inventions both are a credit to her domain but also its doom? it would make sense that erathis might be conflicted regarding aeor’s fate
