Crazy how I've seen dozens of youtube videos about the whole "kids in sephora" crisis of capitalism but not ONE has mentioned how the adultification is gender specific

#like. the little boys aren't getting makeup and highlights and acrylic nails. presumably they're still doing kid stuff #does anyone think maybe these hyper consumption trends seem to overlap pretty substantially with traditional gender roles?#anyway thank God I'm not a child (or like. a cishet woman for that matter) cause it's brutal out there for young girls
