okay so here’s more about this lil loser boi: 

so here’s his lil backstory

in a land of myth and a time of magic, the destiny of a great kingdom rests on the shoulders of a young boy

who isn’t demetrios

or a boy at all

it is megaira aka silver haired princess babe of greece yo

backstory backstory backstory:

so meg and demetrios’ dad went off to war a while ago

like demetrios was born in 1633 so before that obvs

so daddy dearest went off to war

daddy dearest had a great fall

straight onto a venetian woman named signora de bergano 

they did the do and he went back to greece with a brand new mistress and a brand new lil baby boy 

( who was demetrios in case i rambled too much )

so i mean demetrios was recognised and given a title and a duchy and loved by ol dad

aka he was dad’s fave suck it everyone else 

but the king of greece had three daughters after demetrios 

aka megaira and two others 

his half sisters

demetrios - okay you know what, typing his name again and again isn’t easy for my spiderlike hands so i’m coming up with a nickname

he shall be known as dima or demi moore lovato from now on

you can also call him the bastard bc you know

so anyway demi loved his sisters loads and his dad loved him loads 

but see daddy dearest was a real bastard ( except not a REAL bastard that’s dem )

but the king sort of led him on ( sheesh i can’t phrase this well ) and only really paid attention to him and made him think he was Real Hot Shit when he was only Semi Warm Shit 

naturally since he was the only son and he was recognised and y’know...the king didn’t really pay all that much attention to the three daughters he had...demetrios was raised and taught how to be all kingly

he was taught all the political and social cues and everything 

his own mummy ( read: the king’s prev mistress, not the one from the tom cruise movie ugh ) was also a political shark who wanted her son to be king so dem was like full on thrust into the limelight by her

but the queen of greece hated the fuck out of him 

bc basically everyone thought he’d be king after the actual king

and he was a living reminder of the king’s infidelity 

demi used to love his dad i mean who wouldn’t when you’re basically being treated so great

but then!!!!! when he was 15 and meg was 10, the king declared that meg would rule the empire when he died

and everything went to shit

bc before then, demi and meg had a great relationship

they were happy siblings and he was protective AF about her and they’d spent their entire childhoods playing together 

meg was his fave sister lbr 

like he would have killed anyone who breathed wrong in her direction

which is why he also had a strained relationship with his mummy ( click ) bc she didn’t like meg or any of his sisters at all and he was like chill ma wtf 

but when megaira became the heir, well. demetrios was like shit are you kidding dad i hate you

has sister dearest sent away to crete “for her safety” ( from him probs )

and spends all the many years while she’s away buttering up the nobles and foreign dignitaries and daddy dearest 

but he’s really started to resent daddy dearest too

bc like he keeps treating him like his fave and only asking for his advice and always preferring him 

being all Dad of the Year circa 1600s

but he still won’t make him the heir or anything and demetrios is just Frustrated

also sexually frustrated bc he’s not cool with ever having a bastard he totes doesn’t wanna put that on a kid of his own after seeing what’s happened to him

( he’s bi but he probs tries to stick to guys bc he does not want an illegitimate kid in any way at all pls help ) 

but he does like the ladies

so while meg is away, he plots and plots and gains a lot of favour with everyone

he’s the cool guy; he’s one of the lads; he’s good with the girls and the boys and everyone’s like look at this strapping young man who’s got a cool head and is fit for rule

but then meg comes back and she’s all grown up and demetrios is bitter again bc ugh 

they now hate each other...she keeps saying he tried to kill her...it was probs just that one time...let it go sheesh

she’s also not great at the whole political and social thing WHILE HE ISSS

but the king did one good thing!!! he said meg couldn’t rule until she was married

and that if she wasn’t married before he died, deme would become regent

now my boy’s tryna screw up every match meg gets so he can become regent and then he convince the greek people that he’s better for the throne anyway so like get rid of the blonde one

i didn’t think that part through but yeah the blonde pretty one

back to normal broadcast: he’s tryna screw up her betrothal but also he will full on kill anyone who hurts her even tho he won’t admit it bc she’s still his baby sister

and he’s taking his anger out on the wrong person

the king of greece: he very blatantly favours demetrios, but ever since he passed him over for the throne, dem’s been feeling pretty resentful?? i mean, the dude isn’t a great guy...

the queen of greece: full on hates him, scary af, he’s scared af of her even tho he’s a thirty year old 

his mum: he loves her and she loves him, but she can be manipulative af 

his youngest two half sisters: he’s p cool with them but whether they’re cool with him or not is up for debate?? i mean, they don’t really know meg that well bc she’s been away for so long and he was the one who spent the most time with her, so they’ve probs got a good relationship going? ( 1/2 )
