what i wld like is to visit my parents without being informed of genuinely worrying medical developments. can that happen once this year
#yelling at clouds#dad finally got his genes tested and has a Definitive Diagnosis for the chronic pain#it's muscular dystrophy. so that's fun.#also he has cerebral palsy which is an insane thing to only learn when he is in his fifties#like lots of things make sense! but how. did no one notice. until now.#anyway obviously i cant inherit the cerebral palsy but i can inherit the muscular dystrophy! won't know for at least another 5 years#i think this gets me to five potential physical illness time bombs in my genome. fun and cool.#and the other thing is maddy has started lithium#which will hopefully get her out the psych ward but. well. lithium is dangerous.#i obviously want her to be on an effective mood stabiliser i wld just like one to exist that doesnt cause organ damage#she fucking said today she'd rather be on lithium than the other one cuz at least she's got two kidneys#i hate that. i hate that so much.
