cant remember if it was ever confirmed but i cant shake the feeling that john did see himself in the hotel mirror when arthur put on the pallid mask for the first time

#am i pointing out the obvious; maybe #just. the build up to that point #john went 'somewhere else' when he read ab kiy from the book in the underground library #hinting the book that kiy was trapped/subdued (by prisoning him in a book perhaps... that was formerly used for shub niggurath perhaps...)#and ofc the season finale #just. john probably had an idea as to who he was #and now that we know the pallid mask can be used to see things that arent normally visible #ye #anyway now that theyre trusting each other again (somewhat) id like it if john could describe how he looks like ple #malevolent
