Yes transphobia is stupid and annoying in general but smt specifically that annoys me is when transphobes go “oh this person has mutilated themselves with hormones used to chemically sterilize rapists”

Like yes but

Do you know what that hormone was used for before they found out it reduced libido in men??

They used it to halt too fast growth in children that could give them health risks

It was a fucking type of puberty blockers

#take my rant here with a grain of salt #I have not gone back and read the article again to make sure it’s the same hormone they talk about #but this is literally how some of the history behind hormone blockers went #it’s gone back and forth but for some reason they only pick the bad period I wonder why #ughhh #I’m in a complaining mood tonight #I spend 20 minutes ranting about my flatmate earlier #and then I saw transphobic comments online when I got home #also I wrote down potential responses to me flatmate to let him now what annoys me in a polite way #which I’ve done /before/ so I have the note saved on my phone #and one of the things was the same fucking thing #he makes queer jokes but in a way we’re hell reference internet queer jokes irl #like aces like garlic bread or whatever #and I added a little reflection part to my new note about how when he a cishet guy does it it feels alienating #and I wasn’t really sure if i was just overthinking that part but then I saw #and that’s fucking the same thing I wrote a year ago when I noticed it first #iiiii do not have the patience for him atm #nor a lot of other stuff evidently #anyway now I’ll read my book and go to sleeep #today has actually been a good day tho productive first and fun later #me #this really goes to the void even more than my usual shitposts
