this boy in my class said something about being excited for when his twin sister came back from this music thing she’s been at for the last couple of days and these two other boys in the class were like “there are people who miss their siblings … didn’t know that ever happened” and he got so embarrassed but he didn’t back down and was like “she makes school more enjoyable” and it was so pure I almost couldn’t take it

#teaching tag #LIKE I JUST #he’s 16 so you can imagine how rare this phenomenon is #you can just tell they’re friends!!#I hope I didn’t make him feel weird though 😭 cause I asked him if it was cause they were twins #and he was like ‘no’#I hope I didn’t make it sound like I thought it was weird to miss a sibling but my love for twins just popped into my head for a second #and I had to say it lol (I love reading stories about the bond between twins)#I teach 3 sets of them this year!#which feels like a lot #anyway it was such a good pure unguarded moment of teenage honesty and it was beautiful to witness
