Present mic a d1 crashout for GOOD REASON. Because tf ym he's been putting up a front infront of everyone since the death of his best friend. Instead of managing his own greif and moving past it, he gives everything in his power to make sure his best friend can do that, just to get seemingly no recognition. Then he gets called in to reawaken said dead best friend.

What the fuck???

Because that idea isn't batshit in itself, he continues to make sure Aizawa doesent spiral during AND after, just for shou to not talk about it, not aknowladge that hizashi is hurt, and to overall demean him and his feelings.

How does he respond?

Almost killing his dead best friend (because that's fucking possible) just for the sake of shouta. So shouta doesent get hurt. So shouta's memory isn't tainted, and shouta can move on.

Alright made up fic title for you to write for the ask thingy... um....I'm bad at titles. This is gonna be dumb, but... How about "Feelings Are Fickle, But I Love You" / um I couldn't think of anything lol

uhhh you didnt specify a fandom or anything (but like if you want me to do it again for a different fandom as well or even a specific pairing just let me know i would be so happy to do that) but uhhh im getting loceit vibes from this-

logan does not understand feelings. hes not very good with them. and you know what, he’s fine with that.

janus, meanwhile, swore to himself that he’d never fall in love. he’d seen all the ways that it could hurt you, and he was better on his own. okay, maybe he got a little lonely sometimes.... and maybe he kinda sometimes thought it might be nice to have a partner..... but he was fine! he was much better on his own, thank you very much. (patton please stop nagging him to meet people, he’s fine)

cue them meeting at... idk, a library or coffee shop or book store or something? and janus’s first thought is “holy crap he’s cute” and logan just really liked janus’ sarcasm and wit because arguing with him is a challenge and logan likes that.

and then maybe they run into each other in a few more places before they finally start meeting up on purpose. and they enjoy spending time together.

logan doesnt quite realize that its a crush. i mean, objectively, janus is aesthetically attractive, he supposes, and logan really enjoys his company. but he doesnt quite realize its a crush until hes gushing to virgil (because i live for platonic analogical) and virgil is just like “logan. just ask him out already” and logan is like “...wait what-” and then he thinks about it and is like “oh no wait-”

meanwhile janus is in denial. he does not have a crush, nope! he very much does not want to date logan!

anyways back to logan. and so he realizes he has a crush and virgils like “soooo are you gonna ask him outtttt” and logan is all “i dont think asking him to be in a romantic relationship with me would be logical at the time *nervous laughter*”

cue some more shenanigans, and maybe some matchmaking by patton and virgil (plus minor background moxiety if you want?) and then finally logan works up the courage to maybe ask him out aaaaaand....

right as he’s about to, maybe they segway into it with casually bringing up relationships and janus, maybe panicking just a little, is all “yeah uh i dont do romance. not my thing”

and things are awkward and then logan goes home and he is crushed and virgil is confused because from what he’s seen of the two, the feelings are totally mutual. virgil is also kinda angry because how dare anyone hurt his best friend but logan is like “virgil please do not hurt my crush” so yeah

anyway so after that things are kinda weird and then after intervention from patton (and a long heartfelt talk), janus finally goes up to logan and is like “yeah so uh. sorry, i was kinda an idiot, and i like you”

“so, uh, would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow? theres a movie playing that i think will be interesting“

“i’d love that“

as the two waved to each other, cautious but giddy nonetheless, they couldn’t help but think that while feelings may be confusing and fickle, maybe, just maybe, this would be worth it.

watching from afar like the creepy stalkers they were, patton and virgil quietly fistbumped.
