some work friends and i had some beers and hatewatched an episode of history channel "sons of liberty" last night and while there is a lot wrong with the show, the funniest thing is the casting for the big brawl scenes between soldiers & locals bc when u know the ages of the people actually involved in those incidents on either side, the scenes literally just look like

#at least christopher seider had age appropriate casting but the show really was like. yeah this 11 year old only has weird Adult Man Friends #the fact that his funeral procession of his schoolmates was like. a bunch of beefy middle aged men #also oh boy i was literally just having a conversation w a friend about how loyalists get portrayed as effeminate and wealthy #while patriots are salt of the earth masculine tradesmen (spoiler: there was a pretty even distribution on both sides #and class doesnt determine how masc/fem u look and also the lines between the sides are blurry as hell)#and this show really was like. exactly that.#anyway ig this is ur reminder that boston was mostly children in the time leading up to the revolution
