Sometimes it takes a while for the connection between your real life and the things that you wrote to become clear, like Oh. That’s why I wrote those characters going through it.
#anyway i had an epiphany the other day that a good chunk of my tog fics are about grief in some form.#like not just about grieving but about loss. and the long fic i've been working on for a while is a product of my recent insanity#all liminal space and more grief and uncertainty and trying to find a home and love in nature#i think that's why i've been struggling so much with writing it (axis). because it's sort of close to home and just frightening.#but more than that: the entire theme/plot of perfero. i'm literally an idiot lol and such a cliche!!#oh i wonder why nicolo pushes himself nearly to breaking in that fic and his friends realize it long before he does.#HMMMMM#at least i'm not a sleepwalker though. or hallucinating will-o the wisps. but the semester's not over yet so we'll see
