so turns out I suck at following patterns
#me? keeping track of how many rows of knitting I've done and what I'm supposed to be doing next? it's more unlikely than you think#anyway I already can't really follow patterns in sewing. just don't get 'em. I follow the wrong lines and mix things up and just. can't.#but I guess it's the same with knitting#one of these days I'll get one of those row counter thingamabobs and see if it helps#I do wonder if this is the dyscalculia kicking in again#because I just had to try 3 times to count the stitches on my row#because. idk this might sound weird. but I struggle with counting them#it's the same feeling as when I have to count zeroes in a row#it's like I can't differentiate between different stitches?#like even if I count slowly and use a finger to point at each one I still get confused#trying hard not to be too discouraged because I do enjoy knitting on a whole#I just need to. adapt. somehow. to what is evidently a blatant disability
