I was wondering why Heavy knew immediately what was going on when Zhanna showed him her ear necklace. Like, as far as I know Russians don't propose to each other using cut off ears, right? Sure, you could argue that Heavy lived with Soldier long enough that he realised what this was about cause he more or less knew this was something Soldier would pull.

But then I had an epiphany. Cause who else in the TF2 lore would be perfectly happy to receive random body parts as a gift?

That's right, Soldier proposed to Zhanna with a necklace made of ears because he was copying Heavy, & Heavy was giving Medic random body parts as gifts.
