another rant: my tumblr era has started i feel withdrawals…

i might not finish this so if it gets posted. something won but drawing most definitely did not ToT anywho this is in fact another persona rant! im fixated on kingdom hearts pretty heavily now but i still hold persona very very dear to me as we now dhskd im here to rant about the aigis and yukari, this wont be as in depth as last rant but hey its worth a try and its been on my mind why not

thinking about aigis’ character and everything about her character down to her bisexuality really makes me wish they explored her humanity more. i know she wasn’t an allegory really or anything of that sort just more of a “plot device” of sorts to help handle the theme of appreciating your humanity and living and all that. but i love her so much so yes, as indulgent as it is, i want to explore that for her hehe. since i played the game and my fixation and love for aigis had commenced, ive always sorta shipped her with yukari i guess? because i think they would really nice together lmao and also because i think there’s so much potential between a dynamic like that between the two of them.

i was working on a fanfic idea and i had written some stuff i really liked but in short the idea was about aigis and yukari and how their relationship would develop during the answer time or after the events of the main game basically and how they would deal with makoto’s death in a rather odd manner to say. mind you, ive never seen the answer dlc and knew very little about it so i sort of didn’t include that specific time but anywho, no matter all that, the point of in short is that aigis and yukari only really find that sort of sense of “love” in each other because they both remind each other of makoto. i know that sounds probably insane and i don’t really like writing about gay couples and just focusing it so much on societal standards or like in sapphic relationships for example, i don’t like the fact so many are based around men and comphet and all that but i feel that this would be such an issue for how aigis and yukari would navigate their lives afterwards, as of course it would be, i think it has a lot of potential to be discussed and i know atlus would never state it the way that i think it would look but just in the friends way and not in the jealous “he was mine!!” way, its so ridiculous bc again, i havent seen it myself but i know its handled so horribly i dont even wanna imagine. ill see it eventually ToT

but anywho, i think their relationship has a lot of potential to be explored. just the ship dynamic in general and aigis having to handle teen emotions lmao. i think her being extremely awkward and learning the concept of embarrassment would be hilarious i mean mostly tragic but in a way, it’s something that could speak to a lot of people. and i know the game didn’t have time to really explore that and i think surprisingly they did pretty well with what they did with aigis and just that game in general (the first and last time lmao) but im just saying whatever yk fhsjfb

i just wish more media expanded on what toxic relationships genuinely are. i wish more ppl thought critically and realized the very thin but visible line between toxic and abusive and didn’t either glorify or exaggerate it so much yk? like i wish more media discussed mutually toxic relationships and actually didn’t put such a disgusting narrative like they always do especially with gay women and sapphic couples. just for the fetish it’s absolutely disgusting just like with gay men and the power dynamics its like… why. why are we missing the point here how do we manage to make the same mistakes everytime ToT i like aigis and yukari as a ship because its something that already in itself is a bit questionable to say the least and it could really feed off well on that differentiation between their humanity you know? and also handling grief but realizing that its the same and they both need to let go you know? it’s like even with yukari and mitsuru, i wish more people didn’t treat them like “aww cute gay girl couple from persona 3!! yass lesbians diversity win!!” and actually thought on the WAY bigger picture that their relationship is and just how messy and complicated and tbh, really unfortunate it would be. although i do think that mitsuru and yukari would probably “be together” late in the future like probably reconnect late 20s or smth but it would all have to be secret and still, mitsuru would never be able to really be with her due to the company and marrying off and all that. and just with mitsuru’s avoidant personalty and a bit of nativity and i personally headcanon yukari with bpd or just a more emotionally based personality disorder so those leading factors would probably make their relationship to actually come to fruition so difficult

ok i was going to finish this and ill still post it but my head hurts so bad rn i hate playing kingdom hearts the graphics are miserable omg.. so ima head to sleep at only 3 am like a loser.. goodnight to the dust under the bed and alsoooo

Meeting Ryoji in the AU

To summarize: The team (including Gekkoukan!Strega) gets to meet Ryoji at school for the first time. It was not an ideal introduction for any of them...

Akihiko: So, it appears we have a new student.

Mitsuru: Indeed. There was no files containing his history or anything, but the student claims it just got "lost elsewhere" and they took him in as that. We had to struggle making our own documentation for Aigis to get her in.

Aigis: This man is dangerous and poses a threat! I shall protect our leader at all costs!

Jin: Yeah I don't trust this guy one bit. Who does he think he is anyway?

Mitsuru: What do you mean?

Yukari: Well just so you are aware he's been going around flirting with every girl he meets. He did that to me once after talking with you and he just won't stop!

Chidori: It's true. He did that to me on his first day...

*flashback*

Ryoji, goes to sit down next to her: Ah, good morning young lady. It's a beautiful day outside-

Chidori: I'm taken.

Ryoji: ...

*later on*

Junpei: Hey, was it true that you tried to hit on my girlfriend? You should be a little more careful who you're talking to sometimes.

Ryoji: Ah, I'm incredibly sorry. You see it's hard to ignore such a beautiful butterfly like your lady here sitting all alone on the porch. My senses got the best of me. You have such quite a catch.

Junpei, blushes: Hehe, she is a cutie isn't she?

Chidori, angrily: You stupid idiot...!

*flashback ends*

Junpei: Yeah, what can I say? He was right.

Kotone, humming: Well, I think he was just being a nice gentleman with no ulterior motives. Maybe he just wanted to make a good impression.

Shinjiro: I'll give him an impression if he doesn't knock his shit off! Losers like him has no reason to pull this kind of crap in the first place.

Mitsuru: And what about you Yamagishi? Did this man bother you at all since he came to school...?

Fuuka: Oh, well, we did run into each other by the lockers the other day...

*flashback*

Ryoji: My, you have such a lovely face. What's your name, miss? I wouldn't mind taking you out to a lovely dinner, just between the two of us-

Jin, intercepts: And what the hell you think you're doing!?

Ryoji: Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry, haha... are you two- uh- well a-anyways, I should get going. It was nice meeting you, haha...

Fuuka: Now I couldn't really say exactly what was going on, but I think what Jin-senpai did was quite- uhm... aggressive...

Jin: Tch, I see what he was doing. He was getting all up on your business, putting on a 'nice guy' attitude. We shouldn't show him any mercy.

Aigis: Agreed. He must be executed at once!

Mitsuru, sighs: Guys, please...

I have seen aspects of pretty much all of the P3 characters mischaracterized that is such a hard question. Except for ken I rarely see ken in anything rip

yeah i'm making polls for all the games because i'm curious but imo P3 is gonna be the hardest to choose lmao 😭 i mean... ppl characterize the protags in all sorts of weird ways since they're silent protags, people mischaracterize Yukari as a whiny bitch CONSTANTLY, people like to overlook Junpei's character development entirely, tons of people treat Akihiko as just "protein powder: The Man", Mitsuru is reduced to either "hehe she's a tsundere" (which she isn't??) or "haha she doesn't know what a hamburger is" (which, fair enough ig), Fuuka is reduced to just "shy girl who can't cook" and nothing else, lots of people don't seem to understand Aigis' character at all for some reason (which is weird to me because her character arc was laid out very clearly...?), Ken is excluded from everything + some people cannot look past his grudge towards Shinjiro even though he's a literal child... and of course Shinjiro is going to be read differently by different people since he's not in the party for very long, plus lots of people never play FeMC and see his social link.

Thieves in Inaba Bonus #5: Puss in Suits

Teddie, Morgana along with Ren and Yosuke are checking out the clothing department in Junes a few days after the crazyness that was that adventure. Yosuke seems a bit reluctant however, knowing how much was taken out of his account by the girls when Teddie needed clothing. 

“And you really can’t afford much, you said?” Yosuke sighs, shaking his head in annoyance at the younger Persona user.

“Yeah, all the work I had was back in Tokyo along with whatever money I managed to get in Palaces or Mementos.” Ren places his hands into his pockets.

“And how much was in your account when you had to come back home, then?” 

“...700,000 Yen.” The teen shrugs.

“That’s...not a number I was expecting. Wait if you had this much then why am I paying for this?!” 

“I had to use a good chunk of it to replace....my old keyboard.” He blushes.

“Keyboard, what is your PC busted?” But when he asks this, Morgana laughs.

“Wrong keyboard, Yosuke. He means the instrument. Our leader is skilled not only in combat, but has some skills with music too. Just another thing Yu probably can’t do, mwehehe!” 

Teddie pouts a bit. “Sensei got professionally trained for stage performance, you know! We all saved the day with dance, and it was his idea!”

“Okay okay, let’s not get into a fight you two. Geez I’m starting to sound like a parent...” Yosuke shakes his head. “See anything you like yet, Morgana?”

The former feline looks over a clothing rack, contemplating a few outfits. “It’s summer right now, so most of whats being sold is short sleeves and shorts. This sweater I appeared in is too stuffy for the season so I’d want something lightweight...”

“Well, Mona Mona if you want my suggestion...you’ll probably want something with a ‘cool’ vibe!” Teddie smiles. “I tried to be more approachable with mine, but since you have the cool thing down you should capitalize on it! Maybe you could even finally score with Ann-chan!”

“Cool huh? You might be right, Teddie.” Morgana smiles. 

Yosuske sighs. “Well going that route, it might not be too much of a dent in my wallet.”

Morgana turns a corner and comes back with a few t-shirts along with some slightly nicer clothing, shorts and long shorts. “I don’t know too much about clothing sizes, but these looked close enough.”

“Well try them on, we’ll give our opinions.” Ren smiles, giving his friend a thumbs up.

Comming out with the first one, it’s a black t-shirt with some Cats styled after sushi on it. None of the three are surprised he went for that one first. He has a pair of beige long shorts to go with it. Morgana seems happy with himself.

“I think if I went with this, I’d need sunglasses as well.” He chuckles. “What do you three think.”

“It fits your personality and interests, and while cool it’s not standoffish.” Ren states, smirking.

“It’s a cute shirt! Plus, if you’re gonna meet new people it’s perfect!” Teddie smiles.

“It’s good enough. I don’t see it working miracles, clothing isn’t going to instantly get you friends. The other half is your effort after all.” Yosuke shrugs. 

“Well as long as it’s not intimidating, that’s what matters.” Morgana smiles. “Onto outfit number two of three!”

He heads back in and changes, coming out in a yellow tank top with a fishbone design in the chest area. Along with it, black shorts. Once again, no surprise from the trio. 

“I saw Ryuji wearing one of these, so I figured I’d copy him just to get under his skin.”

“Well, again it fits you. Plus if you start working out more this will be good to show off.” Ren nods.

“More fish themed stuff! You must really love fish, Mona!” Teddie claps. 

“You don’t seem to hate any of these when you wear them, so I’d say as long as you feel confident in it, it’d work? I don’t know, I’m not good at this sorta thing.” Yosuke sighs. 

“You’re at least trying. As a fellow Magcian I commend that.” Morgana chuckles. “And now for the coup de gras!” 

He heads back in, coming out in a nice blue shirt and grey shorts. It looks like something he’d wear to a date. For once, the three are surprised. 

“Well, what do you think? When I’m fully ready I’ll ask Lady Ann to a date, and wear this outfit to match her model style. It’ll be a great first date!” He laughs to himself. 

“Well I can see it.” Ren nods. 

“You’ll score her for sure! Hehe!” Teddie gives him a thumbs up combined with a wink. 

“I mean, it does look like something you’d only want for a date so I can’t argue.” Yosuke shrugs again. 

“Good! Now to get more outfits like this!” Morgana smiles, going to change back. 

“W-Wait, more?!” 

“What, did you think we were just stopping at three? I’m not an idiot. I need enough so I don’t constantly wear the same four all over again.” 

Yosuke lowers his head. So much for saving his wallet from an early grave.

“Don’t complain now. Remember, this was my requirement for cooperation with the Operatives. Ren’s deals weren’t the only thing keeping us with you.” Morgana laughs, walking a bit ahead. 

“He could have asked Sho, or or Mitsuru! Hell even Rise! But no, he asks me...” Yosuke drags his feet as he follows Morgana. 

Teddie looks to Ren. “What did the others ask, if you don’t mind me wondering?” 

“Theirs were a lot more reasonable. Futaba wanted to learn about Aigis and Labrys. Yusuke wanted to take up another art form to expand his skills, so he asked Kanji if he can learn how to crochet. Haru wasn’t positive on if she wanted to ask for anything, so she insisted that she had to give them something in exchange for her cooperation. Ann wanted to take Yukari somewhere to bond more. Something with crepes I bet. Makoto wanted to sharpen up her skills with Akihiko, and Ryuji? He still hasn’t decided.” 

Teddie blinks. “So is the deal off if he doesn’t decide?”

“Na. Morgana was bluffing just to get Yosuke to comply.” Ren laughs.

“That’s mean!” Teddie huffs.

“You get used to it....”
