can you do Ben headcanons? ^_^ I loved your Toby ones(^^)
i might be out of touch with BEN !! but i’m gonna try to do my best STRAIGHTLY AVOIDING how he was in 2013 (a freak.)
BEN DROWNED HCS
GENERAL HCS:
Another firm belief he is just. Short. (no shade to my short kings, me too..)
5’1.
Cyberpunk style.
His voice sounds very glitchy and electronic.
Layered neck length hair.
Blonde obviously!
Also has Jeff cut his bangs, he likes the layers a lot.
He definitely uses the floating he has to make himself feel taller.
3 Piercings on his ears but nothing else.
Elf ears!!!
Loves Phonk music, Or anything with cool noises/Electronic sounds.
The Weeknd, Pastel Ghost, Blink182, Daft Punk, Crystal Castles, Laura Les, Odetari, Grimes, Machine Girl, 1nonly, Eternxlkz, SXID, NUEKI, Akiaura, Sidewalks and Skeletons, MGMT, S3RL, Grimes, Yeule fan!!
Definitely makes his own music
Only noises and sounds he does NOT want to sing ever he just likes the way music can make you feel.
Puts his music on soundcloud.
I know Jeff is in the comments saying “delete ts bro 🔥🔥.”
It’s actually really good.
LOVES Vintage video games but he’s also on overwatch 2, LOL, the finals, Roblox, DBD, Apex, PUBG, CSGO, Valorant, RS6 Siege, and Fortnite.
Yes he’s fucking GOATED at all of them.
Genuinely means it when he threatens to DOX people on any of them.
Very nerd behavior.
Stubborn and an Asshole.
Has multiple accounts on each of the multiplayer games just because it’s too much of a risk to gain popularity.
A lot of his rude traits are just from him having an ego over being good at games and getting compliments all the time.
NOTTT a pervert whatsoever.
This mfker is a gamer he is 100% awkward around anyone he finds attractive.
Mansplains video game lore if ANYONE gets the TINIEST fact wrong.
Tangents about LOZ, Mario, and Smash bros.
ROMANTIC HCS:
I’m so serious when I say he calls you his discord kitten.
Most of the time it’s ironic.
But it catches on so much he’s definitely just enjoying it.
Playing video games 80% of the time!!!
Builds you your own pc.
No console bullshit only the best for his partner.
Matching skins on EVERY GAME.
And matching users.
Definitely goes into vc to crash out if people are being dickheads to you, or if they’re trying to intervene and hit on you.
Going with the pc building he also makes your setup gorgeous, however you want it.
Usually I’m not keen on using this terminology but he is a SIMP bro.
Thinks you’re just so pretty. Anything you ask of him he will do it.
Head on your chest, just. staring at you for as long as you let him.
Loves to have his face held too.
Following you around anywhere, on his switch, Gameboy, DS, he just loves being around you.
Will explain any sort of lost media/video game if you ask him about it.
If you’re ever just on your computer or phone doing your own thing, he will either pop his head through to give you a kiss, or leave pop ups that says he loves you and he misses you.
Very clingy.
You need to hold him so much.
He’s not affection deprived especially because he gets that sort of platonic shit from Jeff.
But once BEN has a s/o he is just crazy in love with them.
100% calls you princess, baby, kitten, and doll face.
I noticed every time I write for someone i just instantly get a crush on them. it’s not good.
reblogs / follows / likes appreciated!!

man i have complicated feelings about cs2
i think i get why they're replacing csgo entirely instead of making a new executable. they're presumably trying to avoid a smash brothers situation where the esports scene is split between multiple versions
but as a result they've basically nuked a bunch of stuff overnight. as far as i can tell, csgo maps do not run in cs2. so the csgo workshop is still active- and it's where clicking 'workshop' on cs2 in your steam library sends you!- but you are subscribing to maps you cannot play. the video game that will run them is no longer accessible. i sometimes archive levels locally if i want to preserve them, because shit disappears from the steam workshop all the time, but now the game that will play them no longer exists. garrysmod might be able to handle them but i think csgo levels generally require manual porting to gmod because they were already on a newer version of source
they've apparently provided some kind of conversion tool for recompiling maps for the new engine (this seems like it would probably work just fine, based on what i know about source 2 and its level format, which granted is not much). but presumably a map has to still have an author who has the time and gives enough of a fuck to convert it. there are an awful lot of maps that are just going to be lost forever now. and i think! that sucks!
lost media is still lost media even if it's some asshole's crude recreation of a penis in bsp brushes textured with shrek!!! we're already losing tons of weird shit people make on the internet all the time and imo weird shit somebody made on the internet still has value even if it's not professional quality or 'high art'. this reminds me of when they released a warcraft 3 patch years later to fix some kind of security vulnerability and it broke nearly every custom map, long after anyone would have cared to go back and edit their levels to work. is the loss of Mafa Queen TD and Shopping Maul on par with burning the library of alexandria? no, but it still sucks ass
idk i'm typing this through vaccine/flu shot fog so this is super incoherent and i don't have all the details. maybe things aren't as bleak as it looks. but this is exactly the kind of shit that bums me out and it sucks that i guess they didn't plan for this
#i did play 30 seconds of de_anubis and that water's looking SEXY though#in before someone circulates a pirated copy of csgo for map preservation purposes#also sometimes map authors are dead. this is not an unrealistic scenario i know of at least one semipopular gmod map#made by a guy who died in like 2018

• Hybrids and mythical creatures exist in the mce modern au universe. This means rubius and spreen are bear hybrids, shadoune is a demon, and quackity is a duck hybrid
• No one really knows quackity is a duck hybrid though, since he lost his wings very long ago and doesn't really tell anyone why
• Rubius and quackity are inseparable, they started taking jobs together and since then they are like a package combo
• Shadoune can shapeshift, he uses it to his advantage when taking up jobs, it's one of the main reasons no police force has ever been able to arrest him
• Missa knows how to play the guitar, he's always playing it whenever he can, he has learnt all of the guys' favorite songs
• Rubius is called rata noruega bc his ears sometimes look like a rat's instead of a bear's
• They all started living together by accident, even though they knew it would be too risky to put together four of the most well-known guys in the business in a house together, they liked the idea of having a bonding experience
• Shadoune's favorite pastime is doing arts and crafts, he never really sticks to one, but if he gets interested in a project, he will do it
• Shadoune also loves giving gifts, handmade, so far he has giving everyone something he made from scratch for their birthdays
• Missa actually graduated university with a bachelor's degree in graphic design, now he works at mcdonald's <3
• Shadoune and missa always come back with a stray animal whenever they go out together, everytime they have to give it to a shelter crying bc they got attached too quickly
• Spreen has a collection of colorful knives, he just has them to show off his skills at playing with them as if it was a CSGO lobby
• Rubius' favorite activity is bungee jumping, he does it whenever he can and ways takes the guys to do it with him
• They love taking road trips together, especially after one of the guys committed a horrible crime and needs an alibi (just in case)
• They always do roomies bonding activities, their favorite one is playing a murder mystery irl game, missa is always stumped at how good they are at playing that one
#going to start all mt mce modern au posts with this image /j#anyways this au will be the death of me my brain is going to explode#mce modern au

morning if you think george’s sexuality hinges on an uncomfortable dono 3 years ago where he went “im straight i guess” i need you to use your critical fucking thinking skills for like two goddamn minutes. we know george grew up in the world of csgo which historically has been one of the most rancid conservative spaces where anyone Other is immediately singled out and relentlessly harassed. it still fucking happens NOW for fucks sake go watch a female streamer play val and see what she deals with. go watch a punz val stream and see how casually homophobic and racist language gets tossed around. now make it like. a hundred times worse. like you gotta be fucking kidding me of course george isn’t gonna say he’s anything but straight right as he’s starting his streaming career he doesn’t know his fanbase yet but he does know that if it’s the crowd he grew up playing csgo with he will be labeled with fag smack dab on his forehead and no one will ever give him peace. obviously thats not his fanbase and we know that now but like. fucking CONTEXT people
#sorry i’m just mad about. braindead twitter users#and maybe i’m projecting my own fears a little bit#like. the gaming space was for a while just. so hostile to any sort of minority and it was fucking scary#bird.chirps

Fwiw: every year, my students pass around links to sites that get around the school's firewall (to play games and watch movies which is just charming to me rather than concerning). As far as I can tell, the links get emailed around until every kid who wants them has access.
Last year, one of the most popular of these linked sites across our building was created and maintained by one of my students. They kept that fact quiet and begged me not to tell anyone to which I replied by swearing undying loyalty to keeping their wonderful secret (obviously). It was so much fun to talk about The Coder with other students who were curious and excited and tried to figure out who actually made it, especially within earshot of The Coder (who had to practice swallowing their smile A LOT).
Dealing with students playing games or watching films instead of learning can be very frustrating, but I'm genuinely delighted by the indefatigable spirit of children to go "nice security you've got there. wouldn't it be a shame if someone found a workaround?"
And the extent to which sharing this access transcends friend groups and language barriers is endlessly heartwarming (to me, at least). Like, I've had two kids who LOATHED each other send email links back and forth just as a matter of respect. Like, "miss, I hate him, but he deserves CSGo as much as the next kid" 😂😂
#education#teaching#personal post#perspectives#the more i teach the more my mind opens to different ideas#about what constitutes learning in schools#especially when we're struggling with so many anti-social behaviors#and i mean actually anti-social#not just non-compliance and/or disability#as is so often mislabeled as anti-social

Counter-Strike 2 “launches soon,” Valve says
Valve, the company that created Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Steam, and the company has announced that Counter-Strike 2 will launch soon. The Counter-Strike 2 release date was first hinted at earlier in 2023, but even though the CS2 beta has been opened up to an increasing number of players, it is still unclear when Counter-Strike 2 will actually launch. However, it's undoubtedly on the way and, from what it sounds like, might be accessible soon. So, we already know plenty about Counter-Strike 2 ranks and ratings and also how to use the Counter-Strike 2 best binds. We’ve explored the revamped versions of classic arenas, tested out the new smoke grenades, and had confirmation that our CSGO inventories will indeed cross over to Counter-Strike 2. Initially, Valve said the shooter would arrive in “summer 2023.” Given it’s now Wednesday, September 13, that particular launch window is closing pretty fast. But the developer seemingly hasn’t forgotten about the original commitment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6BNHro0vSg In a lengthy post celebrating 20 years since the launch of Steam, Valve discusses some of its biggest releases and milestones over the past two decades. The company also recalls 2023 so far, which has seen the launch of a Steam client update and of course the Counter-Strike 2 beta itself. Valve then makes a little nod towards Counter-Strike 2’s coming arrival. “The year isn’t quite over,” Valve says, “but so far we’ve released a huge Steam Client update, Counter-Strike 2 entered into beta (and launches soon) and there are now more than 11,000 titles verified or playable on Steam Deck.” It’s only a small hint, but given the most recent CS2 update, which extended Counter-Strike 2 beta access to anyone with a CSGO Prime account (meaning they purchased the game before it went free to play), it seems likely that Counter-Strike 2 will arrive any day now. Here’s hoping. In the meantime, find out everything you need to know about Counter-Strike 2 skin transfer, and how they’ll work and be valued in the coming sequel. Similarly, you’ll want to bag yourself all the best Counter-Strike 2 crosshairs to give your guns some much-welcome flair. Read the full article

Thematic and Visual Research
Ability shooters
Ability shooters or hero shooters as they're more commonly know are shooters that use individual charcters with unique skills sets, abilities and waepons instead of the conventional self built loadout in games like COD
Overwatch
A 2016 game published and developed by Blizzard that rereleased itself in 2022 as Overwatch 2. This hero shooter operates itself into the objective side of FPSs and unlike many other titles in the genre also gives the hero their own weapons alongside the pre-existing skillset. This is what i want for my own game not ownly for the fact it gives the characters a more balanced playstyle but also fleshes out the theme for each character.
youtube
Valorant
A 2019 First Person Shooter that copies the uniqueness of the early and mega popular 2011 Title CSGO Global Offensive and its shop system and combines that in to one with the newer Hero shooter trend of the late 10's to early 20's. Valorant has a vast range of 18 unique agents that you lock into (cannot change) for the entire game which is won by the team who wins 13 rounds first. The entire game is objective based, with the main game being a take on bomb defusal commonly seen in games like Rainbow Six Siege. Each team plays 12 rounds on with the sides switching after the first 12, the attackers rush to a plant site to plant the spike (bomb) that has a timer to go off and therefore defend of 45 seconds once it has exploded the attackers win and anyone in the vicinity dies. The defenders can win by defending these sites by defusing the spike when planted or killing all the opposing team (the attackers can also win like this) however if they managed to plant the spike AND the attackers are dead the round will persist until the spike is defused, which takes 7 seconds. My objective for my project is to not be it objective or shop oriented (which is how you buy your agents abilities) and rather it be cooldown and 1v1/Battle Royale.
youtube
Rainbow Six Seige
The 2015 Game developed and published by Ubisoft is the 13th out of the 15 game line under the name "Tom Clancy's Rainbow", the famous 1998 book by famous action-espionage novelist Tom Clancy. The game is the highest grossing and most popular out of them all with $1.1 bn in sales.
The game itself combines some elements from both hero shooter and loadout customizers (i.e. cod) with each operator only having one ability but also a couple of weapons and attachments to choose from and customise.
The round and objective is identical to that of the spike in Valorant however it is first to 3 rounds instead of 13 making it a much more easily consumable and casual game to play.
youtube
Apex Legends
Apex Legends is a 2018 Franchise battle royale game that is the 3rd game of Respawn's Titanfall legacy. The objective in this case is very standard to its genre, last team standing, however weapons system doesn't come with the skill sets like it does in Rainbow or overwatch they need to be looted from a variety of locations over a large map. The weapons can be modified with also loot able attachments that improve that statistics of your gun or add a visual scope. This idea appeals to me but feels a bit second nature as i feel if i may not have time to get the to work within the time frame but if have time i think the addition would be great.
youtube
TF2
Team fortress 2 is a classical valve game released in 2007 a sequel to Quake mod made in 1996 it features a small roster of characters that stay very true to their abilities at core but have a vast amount of customisation with a lot of it being modifiable by the community. The game however while similar to a lot of hero shooter is nearly defunct with public servers being ravaged by cheaters and with developers continuing to not care. The game mode is very similar to that of overwatch with an assortment of objectives which have you stand at a point to capture a zone, payload escorting or Team deathmatch.
youtube
Fortnite STW
Fortnite Save The World is the one of the 3 game modes incorporated under the "Fortnite" Franchise the tower defence game also includes operators or "Heroes" that have a selection of unique passive abilities that give you tactical advantages alongside a set 3 abilities that aren't unique but cycle in-between characters.
Its hard to explain so I'll show you in a video
League of Legends
League of Legends, commonly referred to as League, is a 2009 multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games. There is currently 163 different champions that all have unique abilities to be able to fight each other and in the arena. The round system in comparison to other hero games is very different as it has you on a top down plane with you trying to destroy the enemies various objective points with the final one being the "Nexus".
Fight Fever
Fight Fever is a 1994 2D fighting game made for the Neo-Geo MVS System that models itself after the another fighting game made by the same company (SNK) , Fatal Fury 2, and contains 9 characters that are selectable to play from and have their own set of unique moves plus a punch and a kick but also a "Danger Move" which is basically an ultimate move. The game is very simple in nature to the games of the genre with no real innovation in comparison to its competitors like the street fighter franchise.
youtube
Korean Mythology and Legend
Their Literary Mythology is mostly just hyperbolic stories about the first leaders and prominent figures in history like most cultures however their oral history is more interesting as they mostly consist of shamanic and sacred rituals that are meant to invoke gods.
The oral and shamanic ones are the ones I'm going to research more.
There are many regions of Korean that have a range of religious beliefs and songs that detail beautiful stories of very simple concepts like death and creations. I couldn't a lot of information to fit all of the regions however there is a constant them that across a lot of them, that being Life replacement narratives. These rituals, also known as life extension narrative, refer to 3 shamanic narratives that are chanted during religious rituals, all from different regional traditions of mythology but with a similar core story: the Menggam bon-puri of the Jeju tradition, the Jangja-puri of the Jeolla tradition and the Honswi-gut narrative of the South Hamgyong tradition.
In all three narratives, a man (or men) is forewarned of his impending death and makes offerings to the chasa, the gods of death who kill those whose time is due and take away their souls to the afterlife. The chasa unwittingly accept the offerings before realizing that they have accepted gifts from the man that they were supposed to kill. As they cannot ignore his gifts, they decide to spare his life and take the soul of another human or animal in his place. *
These myths are important in their religious context because they demonstrate the susceptibility of the gods to both gifts and human empathy.*
From the north a popular song is the: Song of Dorang-seonbi and Cheongjeong-gaksi which centres on a woman trying to find her husband after his death. It is a very popular funeral shamanic narrative ceremony of the South Hamgyong Province and recited in the Mangmuk-gut.
Several versions of the Song are known. In all versions, a man named "Dorang-seonbi" marries a woman named "Cheongjeong-gaksi", only to die almost instantly after the wedding. Distraught, Cheongjeong-gaksi weeps or prays until a Buddhist priest (or a disguised god) gives her a set of tasks by which she can meet her husband again. The most recurrent tasks are tearing out her hair and weaving the hair into a rope, boring holes into her palms and threading the rope into the holes, and either hanging on it, going back and forth on it, or both; repeatedly drenching her fingers in oil, then setting them on fire; and, finally, paving a difficult mountain road with only what remains of her bare hands. Having done all this, Cheongjeong-gaksi is briefly reunited with her husband before he dies or departs again. In the majority of versions, the woman ultimately commits suicide or otherwise dies to be reunited with her husband for good in the afterlife.*
Particles effects in games
Particle and special effects (such as screen shake to show impact or a force happening or blood and gore) in games are a crucial building block to making a successful and well polished game as they add an extra layer of detail and depth to something that could be dumbed down to something very simple.
[Jake's Cube Shooter Game For Research]
Sound in games
Sound is also a crucial element for game building as it can utilised in a massive amount of ways, firstly it can create diegetic (in universe sound) sounds that add life to things such as a gunshot or heavy breathing. This diegetic sound adds atmosphere and is meant to engross your audience into the project itself so it doesn't feel not dead or fake. Secondly non-diegetic sound (so a soundtrack) can add emotion and passion to your game with the soundtrack and music reflecting the world, themes and genre of your game to the audience for example for a game like "DOOM" you would want a fast based rock type soundtrack as the game you are playing will fit that musical tempo however for a game like "Animal Crossing" you would want a relaxed soundtrack as the actions you are doing is meant to be very relaxing. ALSO sound can be used in a way to make a game more accessible for people who are visually impaired by giving them auditory notes on surroundings.
*Copied from Wikipedia
What i took away from this not only do i want to use items you can pick up or loot for yourself in my game but also i can create a multitude of special setups in many genres with so much variation.

What are high tier CSGO accounts?
There are a variety of different types of CSGO accounts, and the term "high tier" can mean different things to different people. In general, though, a high tier CSGO account is one that has been ranked highly in the game's competitive ladder, and as a result, has access to a number of exclusive in-game items.
One of the most coveted items that can be found in high tier CSGO accounts is the so-called "Golden Eagle" skin. This rare skin can only be obtained by players who have reached the rank of Legendary Eagle Master, which is the second highest rank in the game. As you can imagine, only a small number of players have been able to achieve this rank, making the Golden Eagle skin one of the most coveted items in the game.
In addition to the Golden Eagle skin, high tier CSGO accounts also have access to a number of other exclusive in-game items, such as rare weapon skins, exclusive player models, and more. Of course, the higher the rank of the account, the more exclusive and rare the items that can be found inside it.
If you're looking to get your hands on a high tier CSGO account, there are a few different ways to go about it. The first is to simply grind your way up the competitive ladder and hope that you eventually reach the rank of Legendary Eagle Master. This is, of course, easier said than done, and will take a tremendous amount of time and effort.
Another option is to purchase a high tier CSGO account from a reputable seller. This is generally the easiest and quickest way to get your hands on a high tier account, but it will also cost you a pretty penny. However, if you're looking to get the best possible items and skins in the game, then purchasing a high tier account is probably your best bet.
How do high tier CSGO accounts differ from lower tier accounts?
As anyone who's played Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for more than a few hours can tell you, there's a big difference between a high-tier account and a low-tier one. Not only do high-tier accounts have better weapons and more money to spend on them, but they also have access to a wider variety of maps and game modes.
So what exactly is the difference between a high-tier and low-tier account? Here's a quick rundown:
High-tier accounts have better weapons. This is probably the most obvious difference between high and low-tier accounts. High-tier players have access to better weapons, which means they can kill their opponents more easily. Low-tier players, on the other hand, have to make do with weaker weapons.
High-tier accounts have more money. Another big difference between high and low-tier accounts is the amount of money that each has. High-tier accounts have a lot more money to spend on weapons and other items, while low-tier accounts have to scrimp and save. This difference can be a big advantage in a game like Counter-Strike, where every little edge counts.
High-tier accounts have access to more maps. In Counter-Strike, there are a lot of different maps to choose from. High-tier accounts have access to all of them, while low-tier accounts are restricted to a smaller selection. This difference can be a big advantage in a game like Counter-Strike, where map knowledge is key.
High-tier accounts have access to more game modes. In addition to the standard Counter-Strike game mode, there are a number of other game modes to choose from. High-tier accounts have access to all of them, while low-tier accounts are restricted to a smaller selection. This difference can be a big advantage in a game like Counter-Strike, where variety is key.
How do players gain access to high tier CSGO accounts?
Players can gain access to high tier CSGO accounts in a few different ways. The most common is through purchasing an account from a third-party provider. These providers generally have a good reputation and offer a variety of account types to choose from.
Another way players can gain access to high tier CSGO accounts is by winning them in online tournaments or events. These tournaments and events usually have a pretty high entry fee, so not everyone can participate. However, if a player is skilled enough, they have a chance to win an account with a high rank.
Finally, some players choose to create their own high tier CSGO accounts. This is generally not recommended, as it takes a lot of time and effort to rank up an account to a high level. Additionally, there is always the risk that the account could be banned by Valve for cheating.
What are the benefits of having a high tier CSGO account?
There are many benefits to having a high tier CSGO account. Perhaps the most obvious benefit is that it allows you to play against better players and improve your skills more quickly. If you're constantly playing against weaker players, you'll never really get better. Playing against better players will force you to up your game and improve more quickly.
Another great benefit of having a high tier account is that it allows you to play in better servers. This is important for two reasons. First, the better servers tend to have better connection quality, which means you'll have fewer issues with lag and other connection problems. Second, the better servers tend to have better players, which again means you'll be able to improve your skills more quickly.
Finally, having a high tier account also gives you access to exclusive items and features that lower tier players don't have. For example, you may be able to purchase exclusive in-game items, or you may get access to exclusive servers that only high tier players can join. This is a great way to get an edge over the competition, and it can make the game even more enjoyable.
