reading booth rules!
Tumblr media
At the side of the entrance to the tarot reading booth, you noticed a large, chalkboard sign. It had simple stars, hearts, and flowers chalked onto it for decoration. Upon it, in large writing, read:
RULES:
1) Be polite! I will not read to anyone who demands anything of me, and I reserve the right to refuse service to rude people.
2) Ask before touching! There are some things here that are on a strict ‘look, but don’t touch’ policy.
3) I only offer one-card readings at this time. Anything longer will have to be arranged outside of the festival!
4) If you do not want to hear a certain answer, then do not ask the question.
5) Be kind and have fun at the event!
When you were done reading (or glancing over them, or plain ignoring the sign), the Pikachu with the witch’s hat came over, holding out a flower to you. Maybe it had some insight as to which of the common flowers being handed out were your favorite, or maybe it simply thought the color would suit you. As you admired the flower, a voice called over from inside the stall, belonging to the costumed reader.
“Welcome,” they said, giving a gentle nod to the flower in your hand. They gave you a lopsided smile before continuing. “Might I interest you in a reading?”

Quick rules for the self-shipping spring festival readings!
1) these are one-card readings. for either you or your f/o (or the both of you). they can be on anything tbh but if you don’t give me a question then i’ll just make something up based off what i see in the card
2) please send in your reading request in the form of an ask or a submit, if you feel that you need to get long.
I’d love to see you send something in-character, but please do not feel pressured to! That said, I’ve got over a decade’s worth of rp experience and I’ve worked with a variety of styles and writing abilities, so it’s easy for me to adapt.
That said, any rp will likely default to something more prosaic, though i may alternate between first and third person for each individual, depending on how I feel would be more appropriate based on your interaction!
3) romance readings are okay for this, so long as it pertains to you and your f/o! I typically avoid third-party readings unless I know you/them personally, but for f/os it’s okay c:
4) due to work, I likely won’t be able to get to your reading immediately, or in a timely manner. If I get too many requests, I’ll have to “close” the booth [’for a break’], and I will hopefully get thru all of them over the week. I will do my best to tag you in your answer, as well as provide as much detail as I can!
also if ur a jerk to me or get rude with me, my husband and his dragonite will have a few choice words to share with you.

if i think of anything else, i’ll add it here, but for now off the top of my head and cross-referencing with my free reading rules elsewhere , these seem to be solid? Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your time here!
Edit: oh! I also want to note that since my work took up most of my time this weekend, that I will be accepting these throughout the rest of the week, until May 7th, if anyone is still interested! Please do not feel rushed to submit something!
