Next character enjoying the Halloween festivities is Karter. He's a character of mine that hasn't seen much use but he's fun to draw. This costume is another rehash from an older year where he went as a mummy. He, like many older characters, has received design changes, but none are apparent here. Perhaps when I get a moment from my other focus, I'll put something featuring him together.

There's a new mobile game Dislyte. There's 5 characters who are perfect for this blog but first I'll ask about Freddy since he's the one with the most simps so far.

For both the sake of efficiency and for the sake of atoning for my neglect of this blog, I'm going to rate all the Dislyte characters that don't suffer from "anime character with body accessories" syndrome.

To start, here's Freddy, as per the inbox request. You may have seen a lot of artists (over a year ago) talk about this design and draw it. That's probably fine enough. I mean it's a pretty standard wolf furrybait design. Can't fault it for following the effective formula. It's not wholly my thing, but I will respect it for being the furbait it is.

Drew, the one I actually associate with Dislyte furbait. I hate his name, but if not for Dislyte's aggressive advertising campaign, I may have actually got into the game just for Drew. In that sense he is furrybait like queerbaiting is a thing. What else can you truly say? Furries love a hot wolf man (I'll get to the Roman one eventually) and a hot Anubian jackal (The Khemian will probably show up eventually too).

This is Daylon. We like him here. He's furrybait. Not much else to say. It's fun to anthropomorphize Egyptian gods.

Djoser is a hot bull, for which I haven't seen much love from a famous bull-wolf on here. Anyway, yeah the hot wolf is furrbait.

Sander here is the whole Set animal thing. That means he's kind of some sort of canine but I haven't been able to uncover which one. Probably based off a standard jackal. Kinda looks like a stuck-up dick, and reading a little of his wikia, that's within reason. However, he's still furbait regardless of all that.

Brewster suffers from baby-face, despite being in his 20s. I reiterate, he is 25. I assume this baby face makes him popular among other furry circles I tend to distance myself from. At any rate, he is furbait the same as anyone else on this list thus far.

Tevor also suffers from baby face but that's just because he's a catboy twink. I mean it's a cute design, genuinely. Furries also love a catboy twink. This is furbait and that's not really up for question.

I have said it before and I will say it again. HOT. LION. MAN. Javid is slept on in this distinction. I don't know what to say that I haven't more-or-less said of any other hot lion men, but that's just his best distinction. Make more hot lion men the furry of the month.

Though this looks more like a costume than a character, Li Ao was just something I couldn't let slide. I mean his shape and his dragon design are just a wonderful facet of furrybait and furry culture.

There we go. All of the furbait characters of Dislyte. Nobody else on the list of espers is. Now I can rest from Dislyte.

Ankha, my version and my thoughts.

Unless you lived under a rock this cat villager needs no introductions in the animal crossing community. One of the more well known and popular villagers in the series. Well...in more ways than one.

I mean as designs go she is pretty recognizable. It's also no surprise either she is one of my favorites as well. Top of the list really, surprisingly enough in my first animal crossing game. New Leaf, she was one of my starting villagers. I grown quite attached and fond of her during my time with the game. Way before she reached main stream popularity. So I can say I loved her before she was popular. Hehe. Of course her design in new leaf looked more like this.

In all seriousness, I am quite attached to her. So it's no surprise she is a main character in my animal crossing story series. While everyone has a specfic head Canon for her. I took an interesting route with the available information on her. One where she is presumes to be around 3000 years old.

Well I ran with that idea and created an interesting take on Ankha. Instead of being a regal queen. This Ankha is a child of priests and was born a chosen immortal of the Goddess Bastet. She stopped aging when she turned 23 and from the first story was actually 1,964 years old during the very story. This change from the information given was mainly a result of Cleopatra being mentioned.

I know there is more than one Cleopatra, but I know the one mentioned is the famous one we all know. Having Ankha being born around her age the time difference resulted in the age you see now. I guess you can say this is the mote accurate age number than an estimate. At least to the best of my ability.

Her parents are something I had to make up. Her father being a priest of Anubis and her mother being a Priestess of Sehkmet. Her father was anubian Jackal and her mother a lioness. How did this end up making a cat offspring? Well you can thank Bastet for that one. Being a very CLOSE friend of the two. Which probably explains why Ankha is the eldest of 10 children.

Personality wise, Ankha runs quite deep. Even more so than I initially intended. Now I didn't forget the snooty personality trait in the game. But I did only make it a part of the whole. Ankha is a kind and compassionate woman at her core, but still retain some of her royal like feel. Just not to a high extent. Due to having lived as long as she did. So she had time to refine herself, but also experience both good and quite bad things in her life. So there is some aloofness in there, but she is wiser than she let's on at times. Granted she still has choice words for people who get on her nerves or anger her. This cat has claws still.

Apperance wise, well I didn't want to use just the straight animal crossing cartoon style. I have turned her and the other animal folks into a more anthro style for my story. (Yes I am a furry so what). Though in the case of Ankha here she has the more balanced of the human and cat furry traits. If you been around the internet you would know what I mean. If you don't know what I mean, then basically traditional anthro cat head with human-cat mix hands and feet. This is mainly the fact that Bastet is this way herself. Despite the human hands and feet she still retains semi retractable nails and paw pads. As cat breeds go I always thought she might be an Abyssian despite her unique coloring. Also the fact her fur is short and fine to a point where you think there might not be fur unless you look closely.

Her navy blue bands on her arms and legs are part of her fur color pattern, but she has worn bracers to mess with people. I also gave her Amber colored eyes for whatever reason. Just thought it looked nice, but she can change the color of it with magic. There is a noticeable large Ankh symbol on her back which is a mark of a egypitan chosen immortal. It also contains her blessings she received from Bastet.

She does have hair as seen on her design and the three yellow gold lines are naturally part of the color pattern. As for her actual skin color (under the fur, paw pads, nose). It's dark gold based on her actual in game model.

Now for her overall physical apperance. While I loved to go into deeper details that I wrote in my notes. That would take too long to explain. In short her overall physical body is essentially befitting a goddess. Fit, sexy, and still shapely in the right places. Now I won't sugar coat it, I went this direction because I wanted to. No special reason for that. It just so happens though it make sense within the world of my story though.

Now here are surprising physical bits about her. I made 5'8" tall (or 172.7cm for you metric folks). Now this is because of her mother's genetics which made her above average in height and also physically stronger than she looks. That lion strength is no joke.

Hehe God I am not sure honestly what possessed me to make her that tall. Nor am I willing to reverse it. It's fine how it is.

As for story significance. Well she is one of the main characters for a reason. Usually in there on the action with Nacho and even have some story plots relating to her status as an immortal. Though she was written in the first story as Nacho's love interest in mind before I added more and more to make her more interesting.

She is protective of Nacho and Isabelle because of old trauma she suffered. Which never really went away for her, but just managed to lessen its effects as stories progress. I don't say more because it's kinda spoilery. But there is plenty of depth with her that just kinda came naturally the more I thought about it. With her long lived life, experiences and potential untapped traits not yet explained. Of course there is only so many opportunities to do so when writing.

Overall, I am surprised how much I made her into her own character fitting for the series. Doing my best to make sure she is a great character while being interesting. There is more of her I can talk about, but this post went on long enough. So it will be a seperate post. Thank you for your time.

*the mist leads them to one of those downward facing ceiling grates! before fully seeming to fizzleout completely disappearing! through the grate one could see into a laboratory like room! beakers and testubes set ups everywhere! jars full of things and scalpels and tools and other medical instruments are about! and RIGHT below the vent's a surgery table! laying on it is! a cacti! a female one! anubian jackal mutation! from the outline under the sheet covering her body you can tell her hind legs are digitigrade and end in paws! her hair's pink! short with medium bangs! and the back of her hair's tied into two short pigtails! the fur on her skin's a light cream color almost resembling a human skin tone! her eyes are closed but it DOES appear she's breathing! a Darkdroid wearing a lab coat walks into view! writing stuff down on a digital clipboard! *

Fusion aims at the darkdroid before firing a laser.

Fulenn a Loarwenn - Morgiana

As the Silver Wheel rises over the mist-shrouded lands of Letha, a Morgiana responds to the song of the pack with a dance of feral passion!

In the background of other projects, I've been slowly working on a set of Kroashent werewolves to practice new techniques with lineart and colouring, get more comfortable drawing my characters and try and make a set that I think represents the height of my current skill ability. 

I try to ensure that my werewolves are not a homogenous design, giving them their own look and feel that I think represents the characters a little better.  After all, wolves are not identical, so why should werewolves be!  In the handful of times that I've drawn a wolfed out Morgiana, I try to give her a little bit of a jackal influence.  While attempting so this time, I decided it would be fun to go full Anubian for our mischievous dancer!
