Bheed: The Film Review
Tumblr media
The agony and human tragedy of Corona
Tumblr media
Starcast of Bheed Film Plot: This film is based on the Corona epidemic, in which the government ordered everyone to stay put and told them to stay put. However, the workers in particular were unable to comply, so they started walking to their destination. They are all stopped at a police checkpoint in the centre and are not permitted to continue crossing. Can they pass through the checkpoint? Can they all make it to their houses? You must see the film in order to understand this. Tone and Theme: In addition to satirizing castes and demonstrating social and caste discrimination, this film has a social drama tone and focuses on humanity and tragedy theme. It also conveys a social message about how we can help transform society. Characters and Acting: Rajkummar Rao excelled in the role of Suryakumar Singh, portraying the role of a police inspector with the highest integrity. His acting is excellent; he gives every role he plays his all, and the entire movie depends on him. One could also describe Bhumi Pednekar's performance as Renu Sharma as mediocre. Her role isn't very long, but she did a good job in whatever role she was given. Additionally, Pankaj Kapur does a good job as Balram Trivedi. He has portrayed an irate individual who will stop at nothing to get home. Ashutosh Rana, Dia Mirza, Kritika Kamra, Aditya Srivastava, Veerendra Saxena, and Omkar Das Manikpuri are among the supporting cast members who contributed to the film's plot advancement. Direction: Anubhav Sinha is the director of this movie. He directed a number of delicate films before this one, including Mulk(2018), Article 15(2019), Thappad(2020) and Anek(2022). some of these movies were successful, while others received nominations for awards and others won prizes. He took a completely different approach to directing this movie and has made an excellent and straightforward effort to tell a different kind of story. The movie moves quickly as well. The movie keeps the audience interested from start to finish. Screenplay and dialogue: The dialogue by Sonali Jain, Saumya Tiwari, and Anubhav Sinha is strong and well-written, and it follows the plot of the movie. The screenplay is also well-written. Cinematography: The aerial views and Soumik Mukherjee's Cinematography are splendid. It's difficult to get a large crowd on camera, but they did a good job. Production Design: Nikhil Kovale's is good; it fits the film's plot. Even the smallest sounds from the Indians can be heard thanks to Anita Kushwaha's powerful sound design. audio sound is very clear. Visahka Vijay kullarwar's costume design is magnificent, but there wasn't much room for improvement. Riaz-Habib's action is balanced. Mangesh Dhakde's background score is incredibly powerful and strong. Anurag Saikia's music is passable. Lyrics: Dr. Sagar's and Shakeel Azmi's are alright Climax: The movie's climax expertly made. Viewpoint: You can watch it once if you enjoy unusual and independent movies. 69th Filmfare Awards: This movie received nominations for Best Story, Best Actor Critics and Best Film Critics. As well as the best sound design. it failled to win any awards. Flaws: Dia Mirza's role could have eliminated because it wasn't necessary. There are a lot of scenes involving Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar's intimacy and physical connection. While you are producing a film about a unique and social issue, there was no reason to include such scenes. Because of this one scene, parents not allowed to watch the film with their children; if the children are young, they should not. The story's inclusion of the caste concept has allowed for the appropriate message to be conveyed through dialogue and sarcasm. There has been discrimination against Muslims, which is unacceptable. It has claimed that Corona has no religion because of its association with Muslims. EXPLOSIVE: Anubhav Sinha THUNDERS: “The censor experience of Bheed and Afwaah hasn’t been great. It was almost UNFAIR. The only option to seek justice is to go to the courts. But that is an expensive and time-consuming process”
Tumblr media
In the first five months of 2023, Anubhav Sinha managed to release as many as three films in cinemas. Faraaz, directed by Hansal Mehta, was the first release. This was followed by his directorial venture, Bheed, based on the sufferings of the migrants in the lockdown. Afwaah, directed by Sudhir Mishra, was recently released. These films didn’t click at the box office but got massive acclaim from most moviegoers and critics. Anubhav Sinha was in a relaxed mood as he spoke exclusively with Bollywood Hungama about these films, being one of the few brave voices in the industry and a lot more.

Bheed Movie Review (2023) | Cast and Story
This story belongs to that period, perhaps the most terrible period of our lives. Hardly anyone can forget that period during the lockdown in Corona, which completely changed everyone's life. The borders of the state were sealed. The laborers who went to work in the city became outsiders in their own country. The movie threads all the stories of such laborers. With the help of these stories, the movie raises many issues. Caste arrogance, religious hatred, an inefficient system, and orphaned citizens will all be seen in the movie.
Anubhav Sinha made this movie from an ordinary person's perspective. The best thing about the movie is its writing. It's a very tight script. References taken from the actual events that happened during Corona are seen in the movie. Some significant incidents occurred during Corona. The songs and music do justice to the story and situations of the movie.
Raj Kumar Rao is in the lead role. Being a part of the system, Rajkumar has imbibed the feeling of not being a part of the system wonderfully. Bhumi Pednekar has played her role well, but the focus is more on the love angle of her character. Pankaj Kapur is such an experienced actor that his performance cannot be doubted. Director Anubhav Sinha's movie Mohabi has revived the pain of the Corona period once again.

MOVIE REVIEWS Bheed: A thought-provoking social drama on the lockdown struggles of India, Movie Review
Tumblr media
Now in 2023, Sinha is all set for his return to the big screen with “Bheed”,a film that takes us through one of the most heartbreaking incidents that have taken place recently–the Indian lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. The catastrophe is not only given the shape of a film but also reflects desperate socio-political angst and rampant heartbreak — migrant laborers & oppressed sections on how they fight to survive in this land, amidst interplanatory crisis – welcome to Bheed- Factory collapsed.
In this review, we are discussing the story, the performance, the direction, and obviously what impact Bheed leaves on us with a clever amalgamation Read more...

Anek: The Film Review
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ayushmann Khurrana in Anek Film Plot: The film's plot revolves around terrorism in the Northeast, where an agent is dispatched to carry out a mission and destroy a terrorist organization. In order to reach a peace deal with the Indian government, negotiations are also conducted with Tiger Sanga, a member of the separatist group. Will the peace deal be reached, though? Is the agent going to succeed in his mission? Will terrorist organizations surrender their weapons? You must watch the film to find out the answers to all of these questions. The film's tone and theme are reminiscent of an action thriller, with terrorism and separatism serving as its central themes. This movie aims to entertain while conveying the message that, in accordance with the Indian Constitution, everyone must sit down at a table and work out a solution to every issue; violence is never the answer. Characters and Acting: Ayushmann Khurrana's performance as Aman was merely average; he could have done something more to make the role stand out. Both Kumud Mishra, who plays Abrar's boss, and Manoj Pahwa, who plays Abrar, are also average. The characters' writing is poor. Andrea Kevichusa does a good job portraying Aido. Her first Hindi film is this one. JD Chakravarthy does a respectable job portraying Anjaiah. Direction: Anubhav Sinha is the director of this movie. Prior to this movie, he had made successful movies like Mulk (2018), Article15 (2019), and Thappad (2010), but he totally veered off course with this one. He lacks direction. He has very small power above the film. The entire movie was too much for him to handle. It had the potential to be a good movie but failed. In addition to having no head, the story moves at a very slow pace. Additionally, Anubhav Sinha's dialogue isn't particularly noteworthy. Story and Screenplay: Yash Keswani, Sima Agarwal, and Anubhav Sinha's work is incredibly poor. The movie does not resonate with the audience. Because the movie moves so slowly, viewers become impatient while watching it. Ivan Mulligan's cinematography is undoubtedly outstanding and serves as the film's unique selling point. Whether it's the use of colour, the play of light, the movement within rooms, or the exploration of various viewpoints, it is not only stunning but also incredibly powerful in every way. Some scenes are really well shot, and the aerial views are incredible. Yasha Jaidev Ramchandani's editing is terribly poor; it is inconsistent, the first half is dull, and the movie is dull in other places. Mangesh Dhakde's background score is not only incredibly amazing but also perfectly fitting to the film's mood. Moreover, it's truly breathtaking how the movie was filmed in the mountains and forests, adding to its visual appeal. However, the movie does not resonate with the audience as expected. Since the movie moves so slowly, viewers gradually become impatient while watching it. The sound design by Kaamod L. Kharade is excellent; each scene is incredibly clear. That all types of sounds, including waterfalls, birds, mountains, and forests, are audible. Lyrics and Music: The film does not make use of the songs or music, which are extremely weak. Vishaka Vijay Kullarwar's costume design is passable. Nikhil Kovale's production design strikes a balance. Action: Riyaz-Habib's and Stefan Richter's are fine. Conclusion: You can watch it once if you're patient. Climax: climax is not worth watching at all! Flaws: JD Chakravarthy's part was unnecessary, and the movie wasted him. Johnson's identity n't revealed in the movie until the very end. The movie could have shortened by removing some scenes, and the music lyrics weren't necessary. Kumud Mishra, the actor, has also wasted, and the movie fails to make an impression. 68th Filmfare Awards Nominations: The movie nominated for Best Sound Design, Best Background Score, and Best Cinematography and the Best Female Debut, and the film succeed to win 1 award Best Female Debut Andrea Kevichusa Filmcast: Ayushmann Khurana, Andrea Kevichusa, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, JD Chakravarthy Casting Director: Mukesh chhabra, Music: Anurag Saikia, Lyrics: Shakeel Azmi, Basharat Peer, Jonathan Lentur, Anubhav Sinha Costume Design: Vishaka Vijay Kullarwar, Background Score: Mangesh Dhakde, Sound Design: Kaamod L Kharade Action: Stefan Richter, Riyaz-Habib, Production Design: Nikhil Kovale, Editor: Yasha Jaidev Ramchandani Cinematography: Ivan Mulligan, Script Consultant: Anjum Rajabali, Story and Dialogue: Anubhav Sinha, Dialogues: Anubhav Sinha, Sima Agarwal, Yash Keshwani Produced and Directed by: Anubhav Sinha, Produced: T-Series, Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar CBFC-U/A Movietime-2h.27mins Genre-Political Social Drama Backdrop-North East India Release Year-27 May, 2022 Read the full article

Anubhav Sinha to produce an anthology based on COVID Pandemic, collaborates with Sudhir Mishra, Hansal Mehta, Ketan Mehta & Subhash Kapoor
Tumblr media
Post the success of his critically-acclaimed film, Thappad released this year, Anubhav Sinha has recently announced his next project – an anthology film based on stories and experiences from the coronavirus pandemic to be produced under his production banner, Benaras Mediaworks. Interestingly, the storyteller has joined hands with four of his filmmaker friends including Hansal Mehta, Sudhir Mishra, Ketan Mehta, and Subhash Kapoor to develop an anthology film focused on the subject that we are living through presently – the experiences of life amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Talking about the idea of an anthology and the inspiration behind it, Anubhav Sinha informs, “It will be an interesting bunch of names, to tell stories of an interesting time in our lives. We will all interpret this period – starting February/March 2020 – and we will all tell a story from it.” Anubhav Sinha, who is spearheading the collective effort, points out, “This is such an interesting time, you know – even though I realise interesting may not be the best word. Sudhir's driver had contracted COVID and he was unable to get a bed – and we were making all sorts of phone calls just to get him a hospital bed. Uss raat mere dimaag mein aaya ki humein usko document karna chahiye. And what better way to do it than different filmmakers looking at different things? Sudhir bhai ke pitaji ki death hui COVID period mein. We lost Irrfan – aur hum Irrfan ke janaaze par bhi nahi jaa paye. Read the full article
