Fuzzy Pink Handcuffs

Contention is a common theme here amongst the elders and the youths.

We’ll focus on the latter, baby.

Here, we are too safe to be afraid.  Not rich enough to be ashamed, or maybe too lazy.  We mow our green pastures for aesthetics, for sanity.  Dirt patches are dug up because perfection is scary.  Problems are blown up because forget miniscuality (that’s not a word). It’s only natural to have such emotions – one of them being satisfaction and its antagonist, dissatisfaction – but I digress, again and again.  Our ADD is Africa’s Malaria.  Or the other way around, it really works both ways... sadly.  Our distractions are Africa’s insects.

What’s on the television, baby?

Opportunities are everywhere – how can you pick just one?  Survival and striving are the same concept within these velvet walls.  Failure lands you back inside at square one, along with everyone and their mother.  Contention comes with the testimony.  Opinions are vital because you might be here for a while.  Outbound bridges are burned without hesitation.  They’re also easily reconstructed.  When a common destination is sought by similar travelers, there’s not much of a choice.  The bridge is put up over the same water that’s been there since the first flood.  This causes erosion; the waves mash against the faulty connector.

And so we stay locked up in suburbia in fuzzy pink handcuffs.

so i just watched a vine which involved a dude who randomly walked up to a chick standing next to her "boyfriend" in a food place and grabbed (and i mean like... fully groped) her butt. she turns around and gives him this "i want the d right now so give it to me" look. majority of the people (both genders) in the comments were calling her a slut and quoting "these hoes ain't loyal."

what pissed me off was the fact that they all seem to have ignored the fact that she was just sexually assaulted. everyone just assumed that, because she turned around and smiled, it makes everything ok. 

of course, the vine could have been staged, and he could have had her consent. 

but there are dudes who are watching this person's vine, thinking, that if they too grabbed a random girl's ass, they're gonna get that same reaction.

they're gonna get a rude awakening when their faces and/or balls are stinging because they just got the shit kicked out of them because they did what they saw in that vine.

So many people asking where laios is in the big farcille drawing... he's literally the second focal point, he's the only one making eye contact with the audience... I did want to draw him a little "not himself" for obvious reasons but is he really that unrecognizeable!?!? Or is it that people have only seen the anime and get confused by the lack of head??

Hello! I hope you are well. I have to say, your art is simply amazing and it inspires me so much!! Like ahhhhh!!! And I just had a question, do you have any tips for digital art? I feel like I can handle traditional pretty well and that i can make something I like with it. But digital seems to be a whole different beast.

While they are kind of different beasts, there are definitely overlaps! I'd say first of all, having a drawing tablet/ipad of some sort will be the easiest way to start. An Ipad/drawing screen might feel more intuitive than drawing and looking on separate surfaces, but that can be a good skill to have! It will feel awkward in the beginning, but you'll catch on.

Second advice is, while many artists says that brush doesnt matter, PLEASE do not start with a hard round brush. Go and find yourself a textured pressure sensitive brush, that will feel way more like a traditional pencil and make drawing ENDLESSLY easier! You can always go back to the basics later, but no need to make things harder than they have to be! Personally, I use these: https://kecky.gumroad.com/l/NYgX

Start with just messing around in one layer to get the hang of the mechanical aspect, then test out what the layer blend modes do (multiply, overlay, dissolve etc.). Just test it out! See what happens! Check out some basic software tutorials on how to make layers, select things, mask etc.

What are your thoughts about Kepler? And Jacobi? And the end?

OH I LOVE THEM! Especially now when I listen again (i was mostly focused on the plot first time through)

They are both horrible and frankly crazy, especially Keppler, and they have a horrible, complicated LOVELY relationship! I love Kepplers easygoing tone and when he just aggrevates himself into absolute rage, and I love Jacobi’s much more... down to earth ways, and humour. The end was very sad of course, but absolutely perfect for them.
