I hope this is okay to ask but I’m pretty desperate and googling stuff has failed me, so do you or one of your followers have recommendations on how to deal with the BO that comes with taking testosterone? I never had BO that couldn’t just be managed by showering enough and putting on just any deodorant but now that I’m taking T I sweat a lot and I smell bad and I nothing I do seems to fix it. My boss has politely mentioned it several times now despite all my effort and it’s so mortifying and embarrassing.
Things I’ve tried and am currently doing include so many different deodorants which I bring to work and reapply, putting baking powder in my shoes, on top of general basic hygiene. But none of it seems to make a dent and it doesn’t help that I can’t really change clothes or shoes throughout the day. I have to wear closed toed shoes and a lab coat and my job is pretty active, plus it’s 10 minutes walk from the parking lot and it’s over 100F or 40 C right now so when I arrive at work I’m already pouring sweat. I also have a large chest so it all gets under my bra and soaks into it and by the end of the day the bottom part of my bra reeks.
I know some ocasional BO on a busy day can’t be helped but none of the other people at work including other male coworkers seem to have the same issue at all, so there’s got to be a solution but I haven’t found it. Im thinking of trying antiperspirants but I also know I need to sweat and I would rather not put my health at risk. So if anyone has something that works for them please let me know bc im really desperate here.
First I want to say: you're not doing anything wrong. You probably just sweat more than some other folks, and that's not your fault, and you shouldn't feel bad about it. I'm gonna give you some ideas to try if you haven't yet, but I don't know how much you've already tried, and it sounds like you've been through a lot already.
I also have always had terrible BO, and the only thing that helped at all pre-T was "prescription strength" deodorant. I honestly have had less of an issue since starting T, weirdly enough, but part of that is also that I physically cannot stand to shower any less frequently than every single morning (not necessarily a good thing lol), and I also started using antibacterial products on my armpits when I shower.
Currently I use benzoyl peroxide body wash on my armpits, which can be drying, but it hasn't caused me issues so far (just look for Panoxyl, other brands have caused irritation for me and my partner both). I used Betadine surgical scrub before that for a bit (you collect weird shit when you work with horses 🤷‍♂️) and that worked well, too- plus it's less likely to irritate skin.
I also find that certain shirts cause me to sweat there more, and those also tend to be the more form-fitting shirts that get up into my armpits. That skin def needs to breathe.
My partner has had trouble with feet/shoes in the past, and he's used cedar shoeforms to mitigate that (cedar is also antibacterial!). He also makes sure any shoes he gets are breathable (not leather), and if they are leather, he gives them at least a day or two between wears. Probably good practice if you notice any kind of smell on any of your shoes.
You mention baking powder, and I'm not sure if you meant baking soda and just mixed them up (which I do all the time lmao) but just in case: if you are using baking powder, the one you want is baking soda.
I don't have much advice for chest sweat, except that you may want to consider bringing an extra bra (and maybe an extra pair of socks if you're noticing it before the end of the day) to change into midway through the day. You can also look for more breathable fabrics in general, especially athletic-wear, which is already designed to help wick sweat and mitigate those issues.
Lastly, I want to stress again that you're not doing anything wrong. Some people have more trouble with this than others, and if you're really struggling in a way nobody around you is, it may be that you've got something going on in your body that they don't have to deal with. This could be a medical thing as well (like acne!!), and there's no shame in seeking medical solutions for it. Talk to your doctor if you can; it sounds like it's causing you distress, and you deserve to be comfortable.

Part 3: Inveterate Scars
The only sound in the corridors of Genghis Khan was the slow throb of a giant breathing. It was barely audible, always just below the floor or walls, nearly vibration alone at times. Sy thought it sounded a little like the rush of a monorail through a long tunnel, perhaps. Nothing echoed along its walls or wide empty corridors, his own voice barely came back, his running footsteps reduced to thuds. The silence was the same kind he remembered from university libraries, where every word slipped into racks of data cartridges or soft carpet, anywhere it could hide to escape notice.
The bloodstains on GK's floors were browning, but the pool on the bridge was still a darkening, sticky red. It reeked of sour copper, and he hadn't had time to clean. He felt like he'd been walking for hours, screaming at GK to show him medical supplies. He couldn't even remember what he said, what GK said. Most of the emergency kit was empty, discolored spaces where whatever passed for bandages or antibacterial cream had vanished over time, but he clutched several rolls of polyplast-like material and a few metallic tubes that sloshed.
"There is no certainty these materials are safe for Laika's use," GK advised, while Sy staggered his way through the floor switch into her room.
More blood, not as much as the bridge, but enough. Her skin almost seemed to have a blue tinge, terrifyingly pale compared to her usual brown and olive undertones. He dropped what he held and put his hand under her nose. Faint, still breathing. The cactus thorns and torn clothes he'd tried to pull her wound together with seemed to have held enough for the moment. Some of the rags were starting to soak through.
"How do I use these?"
"She appears stable. It may more prudent to avoid the potential aggravation of her injury rather than undertake the risk of incompatible medical procedures."
"She isn't stable, she's bleeding more than breathing. These," Sy waved the rolled sheets, "look like bandages. Are they bandages?"
"..."
"GK if you don't tell me what they are I'm gonna try and figure it out by myself."
"They do not- Your words do not describe them well. They are biologically static shell component. The fluid component will permit structural permeation without deterioration."
"This sounds a lot like a bandage."
"Her- Laika does not share a compatible structure with a Pilot. It may prove beneficial to her injury, or it may eject her soul from this shell, may it find a stronger shell one day."
"Well I think that's going to happen anyway if we don't try something."
"I am also attempting to locate assistance."
"What do you- Nevermind. Show me how to use the thingy."
"Biologically static shell component. You will need to activate it with biologic matter to prime the component to the recipient structure."
Sy stuck his hand in Laika's blood and smeared the bandage. "Please don't die yet," he said. "You can't leave me alone with GK." He took a deep breath and began to unwind the bandages.
In the ever expanding void of space, and interlace of structure and system, Genghis Khan reached in its own way for help, hungry and waiting.

That forced regression post is so good… Being asked how old you are and sniffling out the answer your yandere wants to hear while you’re trying your best to dissociate 😭 Feeling sick after telling them the “right” answer and being praised and coddled and cooed over because they know you don’t want to think about your new life and they want to make it impossible to ignore. Maybe you get rewarded with “age appropriate” activities or gifts for good behavior, adding insult to injury. You tell your captor you’re “this many” and hold up the appropriate number of fingers, only to be given a plushie or coloring book or get a sticker on your behavior chart (you resist the urge to tear it down from where it taunts you on the fridge because you’re still scarred from your punishment last time). Good job, darling, such a good, smart little one learning for your yandere… maybe you can make something together later: a finger paint craft where your hands and theirs make matching hearts, or baked goods where you can “help” by mixing or dumping the pre measured ingredients into the bowl.
They’re so proud you finally feel “safe” enough to be vulnerable with them— they know it can be scary to be so small with someone watching over you, and you can get some icky feelings about being different, but they want you to know they love you for who you are… When they remind you who that is, of course.
Because sure: it’s upsetting to play with little kid toys and get reminded how to play “correctly”. Lining up your toys isn’t playing, you’d have much more fun if you used the cars as cars, or had your dinosaurs talk to each other. But at least they treat you as patronizingly gently as you would a normal child or regressor that age. You don’t have to say you’re a grown up and deal with the grownup problems they force on you— their own sick ways of bonding, or showing their frustrations with you in more dangerous, medkit-requiring ways.
They ask when they’re down for some fun, bored, or maybe just need to relax. And you’ve learned that as fucking humiliating as it is, there is a right answer, and it’s better to take that approach.
When you say your an adult, you get hurt. When you say you’re feeling small, you can get cartoon bandaids slathered with antibacterial cream placed on your fresh cuts and infected burns.
You get crafts and baking and pinches on your cheeks until it hurts, then ice cream and popsicles to make it better. And it’s degrading.
But it’s the lesser of two evils.

Scientists at the Ineos Oxford Institute (IOI) have found a new potential combination therapy to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR) by targeting two key bacterial enzymes involved in resistance. The study, "The Triple Combination of Meropenem, Avibactam, and a Metallo-β-Lactamase Inhibitor Optimizes Antibacterial Coverage Against Different β-Lactamase Producers," has been published in Engineering. Meropenem is a critical antibiotic used to treat serious multidrug-resistant infections like sepsis when other antibiotics such as penicillin have failed. However, this last resort drug is becoming less effective at treating infections due to antimicrobial resistance (AMR). One effective strategy to restore the activity of the antibiotic is to use a combination therapy to counter bacterial resistance mechanisms. An antibiotic combination treatment includes an antibiotic and an inhibitor. The inhibitor prevents bacterial enzymes such as metallo-β-lactamases (MBLs) and serine-β-lactamases (SBLs) from breaking down the antibiotic before it has its desired effect to treat the infection.

French Onion Soup: A Look Into Single Ingredient* Kitchen Witch Spells

*There are actually eight ingredients in my recipe, but I am only using one (onions) for the purpose of my witching
Last weekend, when my partner announced they were taking the short ribs out of the freezer to dethaw, I knew my dark moon banishment had been decided for me: it was time to make my yearly batch of French Onion Soup. I always make this soup with a combination of the au jus from the short ribs and broth made from the leftover bones; it is part of our goal to use as much of the animal as we can. But French onion soup does more than fill our bellies: it fills the entire house with the essence of onions.
This, as a kitchen witch, I can USE.
Some background on what I call Single Ingredient Kitchen Witch Spells
One of the things that I have found when pursuing Kitchen Witch spells is that the writers often try to attribute a magical intention to every ingredient they put into their food. Although this is well intended, if one is actually enchanting their meals (rather than just "asking" the ingredients to impart some magic - which is valid), it becomes - in my opinion - very energy-intensive and cumbersome. That's not what I am all about when I'm witching in the kitchen.
My idea of a good kitchen witch spell is one where you spend a hot minute cooking your food (stirring and returning to your meal is a LOT of where I impart magic into food) but where the actual magic is fairly simple. In this way, I am drawn to a spell where one type of magical intention is highlighted by using only one ingredient or a (small) combination of ingredients that all work towards a common goal.
I find this approach easier for witches who are to kitchen magic and low-energy witches like me. This doesn't mean that you need to stick to very simple recipe to enchant kitchen magic, instead, we are focusing on one or a handful of ingredients for the material of our spellwork. Sometimes flavoring (everything else) can just be flavoring.
I will point out here that by my thinking, whatever primary ingredient you are enchanting for your kitchen magic SHOULD be a primary ingredient/flavor in the dish that you are making. While a pinch of salt can and will cleanse, I wouldn't call your dish a cleansing spell just because you added a pinch of salt. In this way, this type of magic works best with ingredient-forward dishes like pesto (basil), pies (fruit), or - in this case - French Onion Soup which calls for multiple cups of Sweet Onion.
The Magic of Onion

In my opinion as a witch and amateur herbalist, the magic of onion lies in its organosulfur compounds. It is unmistakable if you have ever cut or eaten an onion (or other members of the allium family) that they carry a distinctive smell and taste of sulfur. Sulfur, also known as brimstone, has long been associated with banishment or dispelling magics of all kinds.
Notably, here this association carries over to onion both in the metaphysical realm where it is believed to banish or keep away evil and ill will, but also in its physical properties as onion is antiseptic and antibacterial. Perhaps, in this way, we can imagine that onion chases away the bad by removing it from our bodies.
That's something that I can get behind.
French Onion Soup: a Banishment for the Body and the Home
If the magic of onions is found in its organosulfur compounds (as I believe), this is activated thrice in the making of French onion soup.
Firstly, when you cut the onions. Secondly, when you caramelize the onions (fumigating your home), and thirdly when you eat the onions. We've been talking a lot lately about the magic of the number 3 - a number that can naturally increase or decrease depending on how it is used. This a decreasing 3-spell, and could be used as an adjunct to a more traditional decreasing spell. For example, I might start a banishment or decreasing candle spell and then make and eat the soup while the spell was burning.
Note here that I think that the PRIMARY banishment stage comes during the caramelization process, this is where I focus the energy of my banishment.
You will need:
6 cups thin sliced Sweet Onions
8 cups beef broth, homemade preferred, but boxed is okay
A small bundle of Thyme, fresh preferred
1/2 Stick of Butter or comparable oil substitute (EVOO)
1/2 cup dry wine, optional
Baguette or other crusty bread, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
Gruyere cheese, grated
Salt and Pepper to taste
Prepare your kitchen Do this in any way you prefer before starting a kitchen witch spell. I like to have a hearth candle that I light when doing kitchen magic to help create the proper mood.
Thin Slice Your Onions We want the onions in the soup to have a thin ribbon-like texture. It helps with caramelization to have all your onion slices be the same size, but this may not be possible if you start with very differently-sized onions. This is your chance to connect with the spirit or powers of the onion. Very quickly, you will begin to physically experience the effects of onion's sulfuric nature as the syn-propanethial-S-oxide gas released by cutting the onions mixes with the water content in our eyes, creating sulfuric acid. This is part of the banishment properties of onion; although it might not be pleasant, thank the onion for doing what it is doing. Depending on your magical traditions, you may choose to interact with onion in any manner of ways. Remember here that this is the first of three banishment steps in this process - whoever cuts the onions will get the direct and most focused banishment of the entire spell. If the intended recipient of the spell is you, cut the onions yourself. If it is someone else, consider asking them to cut the onions for you. I wanted to work this spell for both myself and my partner, and I knew that they would still be out of the house when I caramelized the onions, so I asked them to cut the onion for me. You can choose to talk to the onions, pray over the onion, carve sigils into them before you cut them, or do anything that feels appropriate to your path during this time. This step will take a while, especially if you need to take breaks to cry your eyes out over onions. This can be done up to a day ahead of time - store your cut onions in the fridge until you are ready to use them.
Camarmelize Your Onions I thought about giving you the basics on caramelizing onions here, but this is a kitchen witch blog. I assume you have some proficiency in the kitchen if you are attempting a spell like this. Besides, the process of doing this will change drastically depending on how wet your onions are, the general humidity, and how your stove manages heat. The butter, onions, thyme, and salt go into the pot in this step. Start on medium heat and adjust up or down as you need to so that your onions cook until they are golden brown. Expect this to take at least an hour, and be happy if it takes less. The secret to caramelizing onions is that you need to consistently stir the pot so they do not stick to the bottom and burn. This is where I put the majority of my magic into this spell - each time that I return to the pot, I draw a banishing sigil over my onions. I also stir in the anti-clockwise direction of removal. You should adapt this to how you perform kitchen magic, of course. I will note here that my apartment has a relatively open floor plan and I intentionally do not turn on the kitchen fans so that the oniony goodness vents into my house, not out of it. This is the step that I use to banish unwanted energy from my physical space - I speak words over the steam rising from my onions and ask it to assist me in this process. If I lived in a place with a less open floor plan, I would open any doors and windows needed to get the steam/smell into as many parts of the place as I could. If you just want to focus on your physical body, you can skip this step but I find that if my energy has gotten off enough to require a banishment, my place needs cleansing, too.
Heat Your Broth You want your broth to be at a similar temperature to your onions. This doesn't need to get done at the beginning of your caramelization process as you might evaporate more than necessary, but you will want your broth up to temperature by the time your onions are at their desired doneness.
Construct the Soup When the onions are ready, deglaze the pot with wine or beef broth. Scrape the bottle to reincorporate any stuck residue back into your base. Add 1/2 cup of flour and mix to form a weak roux. Slowly add beef broth by the ladle full into the base, stirring as you go. Cook on a simmer for 10 minutes. This is the time for any last intention setting,. You can adjust for salt and add pepper as a final pop of banishing if you are so inclined.
Serve and Eat All of our magic has already been accomplished, so now it is time to plate (bowl?) our meal. French Onion Soup is traditionally served in individual ramekins with a slice of bread and melted Gruyere on top. This is accomplished by putting the soup into the ramekins, topping with the bread and cheese, and then popping those suckers under the broiler. I don't do this. I just grill the bread and top with thinly grated cheese. There isn't enough difference here to wait the extra few minutes after I've already been standing over the stove for an hour. You can say a few words over your meal if that's you thing, but you don't need to here. The rest of the magic will be fueled by your own digestive system. It is done French onion soup keeps for a couple of days in the fridge and freezes nicely so long as you omit the bread and cheese.
If I could choose one thing for you to take away from this writing, it is that kitchen witchery does not have to be complicated. You don't need to know the magical associations for every ingredient you put into your meal. You only need to know one and use it well.

hello! today i'll be talking about the benefits of drinking tea. the only thing i drink besides water is tea and i love it (except the fruit ones). my personal favorite is green tea and it's so beneficial for our health.
1. green tea - the best tea there is for weight loss and treating your skin, good for diabetes and it boosts heart and brain health.
2. chamomile tea - amazing for sleep, reducing anxiety, good for the heart, for soothing coldes and sore throats. (in my country we also use it for treating conjunctivitis)
3. peppermint tea - good for bad breath, improves energy and digestion, helps in relieving menstrual cramps, good for sleep and relieves clogged sinuses.
4. white tea - improves immune system, promotes weight loss and heart diseases, good for skin health, dental health and cancer prevention.
5. black tea - promotes heart health, reduces the risks of strokes, improves focus, lowers blood sugar levels.
6. matcha tea - helps you manage weight, makes you think more clearly and reduces disease risks.
7. jasmine tea - boosts immune system, improves mental clarity and alertness, aids in digestion and reduces inflammation.
8. hibiscus tea - lowers blood pressure, fights inflammation and bacteria, good for liver health, promotes weight loss and it lowers cholesterol.

Speaking of sensory stuff and gaining. How did you deal with all the new bits touching each other when they didn't before?
I've gained a bit over the past year. I love being soft and squishy but I really can't handle feeling myself all the time ya know.
It takes a lot of getting used to - the chafing and friction in my chin and neck area and armpit areas especially are borderline unbearable for me when trying to sleeep.. it just comes with the territory 😮‍💨 the fatness is super hot but all the friction/moisture when I’m out in the heat or being physically active is sensory overload sometimes.
I do recommend using an anti chafing stick to make sure everything glides together smoothly - Megababe makes products for plus size people and I love theirs! They also make a moisture absorbing lotion that dries to a powder that helps with some of those sensations - any similar brand will do though :) 🩷
another thing that I didn’t learn until I was in the 270’s is that antifungal ointments (like Terrasil) can really help with redness and irritation in areas you chafe! I’ve used it in my armpit zone & under belly fold and it really calms my skin down. It’s hard as someone who HATES having wet hair but taking a rinse off shower every other day or after any intense physical activity helps as well, also I use Lume antibacterial body wash 🥰 it also has stuff in it that brightens the hyperpigmentation caused by chafing and makes me smell amazing.

A new study is warning that trace metals like lead, arsenic and mercury that are present in ocean water can become more toxic over time as factors like ocean warming and acidity can increase the bioavailability of these trace elements.
Although these elements can naturally occur in coastal areas, their concentrations have increased due to human activities like agriculture and industrial manufacturing. Now, scientists warn that problems such as ocean acidification and warming are further strengthening the toxicity and spread of trace elements, both from natural and human sources.
“Human activities have increased the global flow of toxic metals such as lead by tenfold and mercury by three to seven times compared to pre-industrial levels,” Sylvia Sander, professor of marine mineral resources at GEOMAR, said in a statement. “Toxic elements like silver are increasingly detectable in coastal waters, originating from coal combustion and the growing use of silver nanoparticles in antibacterial products.” 
The researchers found that the effects of rising sea levels, ocean warming, melting sea ice, drying river beds and ocean acidification could all play roles in the transport and accumulation of trace elements, particularly those that occur naturally. The researchers published their findings in the journal Communications Earth & Environment.
But trace elements from human sources are also contaminating the environment, with heavy metals coming into the oceans from fossil fuel and industry activities. Further, shipping and plastics can also introduce more trace elements into the oceans, especially because plastics can bind certain metals, including lead and copper.
As ocean temperatures rise, the bioavailability of trace elements increases, meaning it becomes easier for marine life to absorb the trace elements, the researchers explained. Trace elements, especially copper, also experience an increase in bioavailability and solubility in the presence of more acidic water. Copper can become extremely toxic to marine life in higher concentrations. 
In a recent report on planetary vital signs, a team of international scientists confirmed that ocean warming and acidification had reached record extremes in recent years.

EVIL HOT TODDY
Ingredience: (*= hard requirement)
Water *
Garlic (as much as you can handle) *
honey *
some sort of throat-soothing tea for a base like licorice or echinacea or etc. You won't be able to taste it
liquor* (traditionally Fireball, you kind of want this beverage to be as dogshit as possible). If non alcoholic add apple cider vinegar I guess
apple cider vinegar
lemon or lime juice
cayenne pepper *
Actually hot pepper, dealer's choice. Sometimes I chop a habenero.
anything else in your possession that seems vaguely medicinal. Herbs. Juices. Dissolve a couple of cough drops. Who gives a fuck.
STEPS
Boil water and steep tea base and add everything except the garlic/liquor
chop/crush garlic. Let it sit for 10 minutes, which I read somewhere 'activates' its antibacterial properties, which is probably bullshit but I like the mystery so I'm not fact checking it.
Add garlic after 10 minute 'activation' period
Steep until it has started to cool enough to drink. DO NOT REMOVE THE GARLIC. YOU HAVE TO DRINK IT WITH THE GARLIC.
Add liquor once it's at a drinkable temperature, you don't want the alcohol content reduced.
Consume
Eat the garlic too
You are now at least a little drunk and have no remaining sensation in your throat, thus solving the problem of your sore throat
You will now smell like garlic for days

This is a heads up for my disabled, ADHD, fat, and chronically ill followers that may have to deal with injuries and topical infections! This stuff is awesome for if you have to look after a wound that you can't easily reach or clean multiple times a day.
Gentian Violet is a non-prescription topical antibacterial liquid that contains a blue skin-dying agent. My wound care doctor is fat, and his patients are largely bed-bound, bariatric, or otherwise can't keep up with rigorous wound-cleaning and bandaging routines for stuff like injuries or flareups of cellulitis infections.
This stuff stings pretty bad at first when it's applied and stains your skin a really potent blue color. Once the Gentian dries and dyes your skin, it means that you have a painted-on antibiotic membrane over your wound that you don't have to bandage, and keeps its seal on your wound for TWO DAYS. That includes with regular showering/bathing.
If you have memory issues, this stuff is fantastic. Not only does it stay active and killing bacteria for 2 days, but the reason the stuff is dyed so potently is so you remember to reapply it when the dye fades. When the dye starts to show your regular skin through again? Time too reapply!
If you have motion, mobility, or fatigue problems, this stuff is fantastic. Especially if you're looking after a wound that's in a tricky place to keep clean all the time without having to fully shower, you can literally use cotton swabs (no double-dipping, please! It's not sanitary!!!) to paint the area, and don't have to concern yourself with it again for another couple of days, giving you extra time to rest and heal, and more time to avoid feeling overwhelmed and panicked because you're "not taking good enough care" of it.
If you're allergic to bandage adhesives or get contact dermatitis from wound dressings, this stuff is great. Sometimes an injury or wound needs dressing just for the sake of the healing process rather than avoiding infection, but for ones where that isn't a concern for you, Gentian is a really good alternative for if Stuff That Cuts Off Air To Your Skin gives you problems.
All in all? It stings like hell at first, but my actual doctor told me that he regularly treats patients with full-limb wounds, and they suffer no ill effects for having large portions of their bodies painted with it instead of bandages and gauze.
If it seems like it might be helpful for you, please do talk to your doctor about it. In my state, it's non-prescription and my doctor gave me my bottle for free. Just be careful with using new medical products, and always remember that it's okay to say, "I can't do that easily. I'm disabled. Can you please provide alternatives for me?" when it comes to medical staff pushing you into care regimens that are more destructive than healing for you.
