the people who insist on calling americans "usamericans" or "usians" or whatever tend to be the type of people who hate americans the most.
so it's always a bit funny that they so often want to claim the name "american" for themselves.
#in my experience it's mostly europeans who are trying to white knight for latin americans#but i do sometimes see some latin americans pull the same thing#like why do y'all wanna be americans so badly if your entire existence is based on shitting on the name#lmao#i know the real reason is that they don't actually care that much about being called americans#they just want to demoralize americans by denying us our name#and this is why i have a policy of blocking anyone i catch unironically using any terms like that#american is a sacred name and i have no patience for anyone who tries to steal it or diminish it#it's sacrilegious#i've gone over a decade without ever blocking a single person on this site#but that all changed a few months ago when i blocked someone over this#and since then i've blocked like four more people#most recently right now#this is the only thing i've ever blocked someone over#not only does it demonstrate a low iq because their reasoning is usually fundamentally stupid as fuck#but it's also just evidence of irredeemable anti-americanism#anti-americans are unholy dasyus
