cmonnnn at xander in the s2 angelus arc trying to claim some sort of high ground with his "I've been distrustful of angel the whole time and the rest of you are just getting to the party" as if a) we haven't already established that angel and angelus are effectively two different people and b) that xander had any suspicions or criticisms or negative feelings toward angel that weren't all ultimately rooted in jealousy

#the bit in... I think it's passion? where xander is like. I think it's really big of me not to have said 'I told you so' about him #which is such a fucking wild thing to say to buffy when she's still grieving over losing angel. still feeling responsible for what happened #now also carrying jenny's death. has just resolved to kill angelus (thereby removing any possibility of angel's return)#and when absolutely all evidence of her relationship with angel pointed toward angel genuinely respecting loving and caring for her #truly cmon. cmon! like I get xander meeting buffy and immediately developing a crush on her. literally who wouldn't #but after you've established that she does not feel the same way in return and is only interested in being friends #to then not make Any effort to have xander get over her. to have him continue carrying this torch even while dating cordelia #who wanted that! what was it serving!! it's so consistently frustrating and for what #buffy the vampire slayer #anti xander harris (I guess to be safe)
