You know when you think you've seen it all with some REALLY bad takes and then you see someone say that Borrasca is as bad as Playground then you realize no you haven't seen it all

There is always that slight disappointment when someone you enjoy speaking to reveals a part of themselves that makes you go "Oh. I can't express certain interests around you safely. Good to know."
I don't think it would have bothered me if they just referred to that one thing as something that they didn't enjoy, or that it just bothered them very much. It's completely fair, their are entitled to feel uncomfortable about it. It's an horror book after all. But to go as far as calling the author a "Predator that just wants to portrait his fantasies. A CP creator. " felt...i don't know. Worrying? Wrong? It was like hearing someone call the author of Lolita a predator. Now the two books are very different, but they both have a goal: they are meant to make you uncomfortable. They are meant to be disturbing. And that's not everyone's coup of tea, hell is not even my coup of tea!
But still as someone who enjoys disturbing content (to a degree) and even speaking of the content i don't enjoy, i know the difference between fantasy and reality and especially i know that just because someone writes/draw fucked up thing, it is very unlikely that they are in to any of those things in real life. It. Is. A. Fantasy. That's the whole point of fiction.
I can't stand this idea that "Things shouldn't be written about" it's stupid, it's dangerous. It start with the obviously horrific and it ends with lgbt books and Anty Racist Books get taken out of libraries.
For me, is something is just a drawing or Just Words on paper, then i don't want to hear shit. No one is getting hurt. If you don't like it, look away and ignore it. Bye.
The Book i'm referring to Is Playground by Aron Beauregard. If you wish to read it i BEG YOU to look up the triggers because it's very intense
I don't intend to read that book because it's definitely not something that i can digest. But i stand to what i said. As long as it is purely fictional, i truly don't give a flying fuck.
