Maybe one day you will realize that children don't always have the experience, maturity or skills to understand the decisions of adults, and that children feeling legitimately hurt by those decisions doesn't necessarily mean they were abused.

Everybody's all about mama's boys until they legitametly hate their dads and then they're scrambling to talk about how a boy needs his father

It is so funny to hear some people talking the most absurd shit about my parents. Yeah, Konoha had Itachi execute a genocide under extortion, but I am sure his trauma comes from the "parentification" of having to cook a meal for his brother once in a filler.

People will completely ignore the context, take as reference the customs and regulations that operate in their real life at the current peaceful, comfortable time, and pretend that anything slightly deviating from that and looking slightly off for them is straight out abuse.
So, apparently, Fugaku's stern appearance and shy temperament means he was emotionally neglectful because, you know, he should have invented psychological therapy to help his eldest son, he should have immediately understood what was going on through his mind and never do a thing wrong while, at the same time, 1) appease his people that were angrily demanding a revolt and 2) defend his people against the military regime that was oppressing them. And while doing this he forgot the academy entrance day of his youngest son, how dares him, omg, throw him in the pyre.
And Mikoto? She is a demon too. You know, she left Itachi alone with Sasuke on the day of the Kyubi attack, because of course, she had to have foreseen that the village was going to get nuked in the meantime. And "alone" means in their family district surrounded by family members, Itachi could scream and people would be there helping in a second, you know. In the novels she came back right away, the beast appears and she is there the next page. In canon we don't know at all where she was, why or for how long. For all we know she could have gone knock in the neighbour's door to ask for salt. But who cares, she gets crucified as well.
And that filler is supposed to show a cute moment between Sasuke and Itachi, but they will take it as absolute evidence that their parents were monsters. By all means, don't leave two children alone while you go for a whole day trip, that is totally wrong. But, in this universe, children are given responsibilities much earlier than in real life. That child you see there cooking is enlisted in murder school, and that was not his parents' idea, that is just how his society worked. And know what? For all the times he looked detached or miserable when working on his many other obligations, for once, he looks totally DELIGHTED cooking for Sasuke here. That day he got to spend alone with his brother due to his parents' cruel abuse, was probably the happiest day he spent and will spend in a hell of a long time.
These children are made squad captains at 12 or 13 years of age and even sent to death fights or to war. Seriously, they can take a few hours of babysitting even if that looks inappropriate for your real world standards. Even in real life children are asked to look after their siblings sometimes, ask your parents or grandparents what families did when they had a lot of kids and weren't wealthy enough to pay for caretakers. Ask them if they grew under constant parental supervision 24/7.
The canon showed us crystal clear the devotion Mikoto and Fugaku had for their children, how they wouldn't raise a hand against them if their life depended on it. Now, of course, you people enjoy your parental abuse headcanons all you want.

And, he is not even shown to cook. For all we know, he could have warmed up food that was already prepared previously for them and stored. I mean, have you ever cooked in your life? You think a kitchen would look this pristine and with only a couple of pots visible after having prepared 5 courses of fish/seafood/chicken + rice and soup?

No, seriously, get a grip.
