Anybody who was close to her would’ve told her not to go into work, not to put herself face-to-face of the aftermath of something that hit a little too close to home. But Lucy couldn’t help herself. She didn’t want to sit around in fear and trauma when this was the job she wanted to do. This would become her life some day when she finished her training and it would never be easy.

While the healers had done their job, the healers-in-training would go around performing perhaps what could be considered the simpler tasks like fluffing pillows and re-bandaging any wounds that were coming undone. Lucy was pouring a fresh glass of water at the patient’s bedside when she heard a stir. “Oh, so sorry to bother you. Can I get you anything?”

Another target was missed by Caspian, attention clearly elsewhere right now, his attention only returning to the game when he heard the rattle of bottles tumbling to the ground, his friend appearing beside him, apparently having taken a shot for him. “I could have done that.”

Marcus had managed to pull himself together after his moment with Diana where the whole situation had gotten on top of him and even though he was now once more in control of his faculties, he was still rocking a headache from the whole situation. “So you’re saying we have to go where next? We’ve already checked out a few leads. What makes this one more reliable?”
