What are bands/artists/songs that help with inspiration and motivation for you? I'm looking for a more inspo tracks.
God yes. I have soooo many so I’ll list a few artists.
I have really been feeling these artists/bands/songs lately, especially for writing:
Mumford and Sons (I just, the style. I love, I cry, so good omg, I always come back to them when I start a new wip or character.)
The Unlikely Candidates (A lot of almost anthemy songs, but I am obsesssseeeddd) (I love their song “Bells” It’s such a banger omg) (I compare them a lot to Fall Out Boy, in a way.)
“The Devil You Know” By X Ambassadors. (This song is just *Chef kiss* for that vigilante sort of character)
Graffiti Ghosts (Think fight songs/anthems/action movie credit songs. So many bangers, I love “Last Man Standing”)
EllaHarp (A harpist, but like very cool, idk I love her stuff)
Bands/Artists/Songs that will always be bangers and motivators:
The Siege (I’ve always loved them I think.)
American Authors (Been obsessed since middle school ;))
Imagine Dragons (GOD the list goes on for these guys, they’re amazing)
SAINT PHNX (I’ve listened to their songs on and off but I always come back to them.)(They also have like good vibes but in such an odd way and I love it)
Oh The Larceny (Again, since middle school, but they write a lot of anthemy stuff)
Barns Courtney (Just, if you don’t know... Go bless yourself nowwww)
The Score (on and off of them, but I come back for certain things, “Revolution” is a pretty popular one of theirs)
Others:
JAXSON GAMBLE (Has a lot of great songs that are empowering lol)
Low Roar (I listen to a couple of their things, they have some bangers like “I’ll Keep Coming” Very alt-rock)
The Collection (lots of folk sounding stuff)
Royal Deluxe (So many cool songs and I had never heard of them until the rona came)
Zayde Wolf (Go check it, I like them)
Songs From Musicals (Flim and Theatricals) (literally the best source for characterizations, certain parts of songs just fit your ocs so well)
Okay, that is all from me, I hope this helps! If you want the link to a Spotify inspiration playlist of mine, please pm me! Music has helped me get through so many sessions, find what rocks your boat, and jam my man.
