Them again, except it's a modern AU ! I had fun imagining modern human outfits for my lovely little Gods and I think it fits them a lot.
Theraël is the sexiest person on Earth; Klavia looks stiffer than ever; Yevlan has NO RIGHT to be that cute; Acherus desperately needs a hug; Valryn is a fucking gym bro; Nisis dresses like a grandpa; Gweldas' job is "just beach"; Jaswinn is the chilliest Dad we all want; Oryndë just SLAYS and Azran looks like a goddamn bling-bling rapper.
Who's your fave ? My personal ones are Theraël and Yevlan hehe

Valryn and Acherus, "The Chaotic Children". I don't draw them together enough ;;
Acherus and Valryn are Theraël's children. She created them under Klavia's influence, who thought she was too emotional and needed to get rid of her sadness and anger and transmit them to her kids.
Therefore, Acherus is the God of Sadness. He's a depressed and weak little smol bean who spends his time complaining about how life is trash. He wants to die but he can't because Gods can't kill themselves and murder is illegal.
Valryn is the God of Anger and is, well, always angry. He's a violent brute who thinks his mother hates him (and He's not totally wrong) and acts before thinking. He always breaks things or shouts at people and, on top of all, mistreats his big brother. Valryn hated Acherus right from the start because he can't stand his complaints, is afraid of becoming as weak as him, and thinks he threatens the attention his mother could have given him.
As a child, he kept beating him and still does. Acherus is weak, both mentally and physically so he never defended himself, only begging Valryn for leaving him alone. And it didn't work.
Nowadays, since Ferëv, Valryn's ex lover and Goddess of Love cursed him, he is in love with Acherus but doesn't understand it and hates him even more.
Anyway, these two caused a lot of chaos on Altea as kids, until they were both banished on Demios (Valryn first, then Acherus). And everyone felt relieved after this.

ANRIEL - Theraël
- ROLE
Theraël is the "Mother Goddess", the Goddess of Maternity, Protection and the Queen of Altea. She created or gave birth to many Gods on Altea, making her their mother as much as their ruler.
She was given the mission to create Thër when she was born.
- APPEARANCE
• Species : Mother Goddess (Maternity, Protection)
• Age : 593
• Height : 170 cm

- ABILITIES
Theraël was blessed with Altea's creation power at birth. She's able to create anything by using the simple strength of her mind or holding her hand. She created most of the currently existing concepts, turned Altea's dead body into a palace and built the Earth from scratch with the help of Jaswinn and Oryndë.
Before 176, healing people's wounds was considered as "recreation" and therefore a form of creation. Theraël made Valryn's arm and Oryndë's tail grow again after they were ripped off, but then decided to forget this ability.
As a Mother Goddess, Theraël brought several children to life by simple creation, without properly giving birth. Her only natural children are Nisis, Gweldas and Azran.
- PERSONALITY
Theraël is an ambivalent person whose particularity is to be both very sensitive and detached from her own feelings.
Since she comes from Altea who was a desperate creature, she inherited from their sadness and strong emotions. She gets overwhelmed quite easily and is often exhausted by her own children or when things go wrong on Altea. Theraël takes her responsibilities to heart and will cry if she thinks she has failed or can't control something. Her long-lasting depression makes her even more sensitive and she's often seen having mental breakdowns.
However, Theraël can sometimes appear as cold and heartless. In 152, she decided under Klavia's influence to get rid of a part of her sadness and anger, giving birth to Acherus (God of Sadness and Affliction) and Valryn (God of Anger and Chaos). She became quite strict and stiff, especially with the wrongdoers she won't hesitate to hurt or bannish from Altea.
Theraël can be considered as selfish because she will always put her mission and Altea's well-being before her children's. She's overall a pretty bad mother, as she hates kids and was forced to give birth to most of hers. She struggles raising them and will often act heartless toward them. Theraël also shows favoritism and it is implied without being told that Nisis is her favorite son. She's been hating Valryn and Azran right from the start and is partly responsible for their corruption arcs. She's rather resentful and unforgiving, especially with them.
- BACKSTORY
Theraël was born in 107 from Altea's ashes and creation power. After staying inconcious for a few time, she woke up with the dead parent's voice in her head. Theraël immediately understood she had to recreate Thër, without truly knowing who or what he was. Since she needed a bit of help, she created Klavia to assist her in her duty. The two of them became sisters and started building a palace out of Altea's ashes to honor the death of their ancestor. In 125, they were joined by "The Child From No Place" : nobody knew where he came from but Theraël and Klavia accepted him on Altea as a new God and nicknamed him Yevlan.
Theraël was crowned as a queen and started leading the mission they were given by Altea, but she quickly noticed she was too emotional to be a good ruler. Thus in 152, Klavia advised her to get rid of her negative emotions. She split them in two and gave birth to Acherus and Valryn, the Gods of Sadness and Anger.
In order to complete her mission, Theraël created two new children named Jaswinn and Oryndë, mixing her blood with earth and water. Yet she noticed Jaswinn and Oryndë were each other's soul-sister and therefore could not be Altea's; she had to think about another solution when she understood Thër would never be a God.
She then accepted Yevlan's idea to create a new species which would be mortal and could change with time to reach perfection : the idea of the ël (who started being called elves with time) was considered.
In order to gather all the mortals, the Altean Gods had to create a new place as well : thus Earth was born in 231 and it became Thër itself. Its creation definetly relieved Altea from their pain.
On the year 205, Theraël met Ferëv who created herself on her own and pretended to come from Theraël's love for Yevlan. Indeed, Theraël had started developing feelings for him without knowing it was love. Under Ferëv's influence, she decided to marry Yevlan, who became the King of Altea and ruled at her side.
Theraël got pregnant by Yevlan quickly after their first intercourses and considered aborting the kids because she had too much children already and couldn't manage them. Yet, Yevlan pressured her into keeping the children and she finally accepted to give birth to the twin brothers Nisis and Gweldas.
In 280, Yevlan insisted that she gave her another child, what Theraël categorically refused. Yevlan then tried to kill himself to blackmail her and Theraël felt forced to accept. After a whole year of unsuccessful tries and two miscarriages, she managed to give birth to Azran; just like for her twins, the labor was so painful it literally traumatized her both physically and mentally.
- PRIVATE LIFE
Theraël, as the Mother Goddess and Goddess of Maternity, is the mother of many Gods on Altea.
She's married to Yevlan and her marriage makes her unhappy because of his husband's toxic and manipulative personality. However, she doesn't see the red flags and is unable to divorce him.

RELATIONSHIPS
ALTEA
Theraël is the Goddess Altea created in their image and transmitted their powers to so she could create Thër when she grew up.
Theraël is very pious and invested in her mission : she often prays Altea. When she thinks she has failed something, she usually asks for Altea's pardon in the "ashes room" where Altea's ashes are kept.
Their well-being is the most important thing to Theraël, who sometimes neglects her own children's feelings to protect Altea.
When Theraël was just born, Altea's voice was still in her head and told her they "loved her deeply but couldn't stay with her".
YEVLAN
Yevlan is Theraël's husband and she's deeply in love with him. Despite being married to someone she loves, Theraël is unhappy because Yevlan is toxic and abusive. Yet she doesn't see the problem because of her denial and Yevlan's manipulation skills.
Through the years they spent together, he became able to make her dependant enough to control her entirely. Theraël will always do her best to please her husband, even if it ends up hurting her. For example, since Ferëv convinced her that lovers should always share a bed, Theraël accepts having sex with Yevlan even when she doesn't want to. Yevlan raped her multiple times using coercion and the hurtful intercourses they had traumatized her.
Yevlan doesn't hesitate to hurt himself if Theraël doesn't obey him : he forced her to give birth to the sons she wanted to abort and to give him another child, threatening to kill himself otherwise.
Theraël is extremely devoted to Yevlan and would do anything for him to feel happy, always putting his needs before hers. Yevlan however, isn't in love with his wife and married her for power. He has no respect for her and spends his time cheating on her with mortals.
This toxic relationship caused Theraël to be even more depressed and her self-esteem to be at its lowest.
When she discovers about his infidelity, they first break up but he finally convinces her to accept an "open relationship" in which she has very few liberties, contrary to Yevlan who uses this excuse to openly cheat on her.
KLAVIA
Theraël created Klavia in 107 so she could guide and advise her. Since she genetically comes from Theraël's blood and Altea's ashes, she's technically both her daughter and little sister, but the two of them consider themselves as sisters and best friends.
Klavia also is the Royal Counselor and is always by Theraël's side, helping her taking the most important decisions on Altea. She's more useful than her husband when it comes to responsibilities, eventhough he's supposed to be the King.
She's undoubtely the person to be the most devoted to Theraël. Klavia is always here for her and supports her, not only politically but also emotionally during her darkest moments.
Theraël loves her sister just as much and always defends her in front of Yevlan : remove Klavia from the Council was the only thing Theraël refused to do for her husband. Yet, their relationship isn't totally balanced since Theraël doesn't have the mental health to reciprocate everything.
Klavia also is desperately trying to protect Theraël from Yevlan's abuse. She's able to detect the red flags and keeps warning her queen, in vain. The situation is very frustrating for Klavia, who feels helpless against her sister's visible decline.
They slept together once after Theraël discovered about Yevlan's adultery and was furious and desperate. She felt guilty afterwards and they never did it again, but it was the best intercourse of her life since Klavia was the first person to respect her sexual needs and limits.
NISIS
Nisis is one of Theraël's twin sons and therefore one of her first biological children. He was unwanted at first : Theraël's pregnancy was an accident and she wanted to abort, but Yevlan pressured her into keeping the twins. Theraël used to hate him when he was a child because he kept fighting with Gweldas, caused a lot of chaos on Altea and exhausted her.
Growing up, Nisis became wiser and more mature and earned the title of heir to the throne. The two of them bonded a little and Nisis is now Theraël's favorite son. She appreciates his calm and serious temperament and the maturity he has towards his responsibilities. She has a total trust in him when it comes to sit as a counselor.
GWELDAS
Just like Nisis', Gweldas' birth was an accident but Theraël learnt to love him after he stopped fighting with his brother. They don't spend much time together because Gweldas' excessive joyness tires her, yet she would do anything to protect her son.
Theraël can't see Gweldas as an adult because of his immaturity and contrary to Nisis, she wouldn't trust him enough to give him any more responsibility.
AZRAN
Azran is Theraël and Yevlan's youngest biological child. Theraël didn't desire them neither but her pregnancy wasn't accidental this time : Yevlan wanted another child at all cost and forced Theraël to bear it, threatening to kill himself if she refused. Theraël accepted but suffered a lot and kept huge traumas from the pregnancy and the labor. Therefore, she hated her child since the second they were born because she saw them as responsible for her pain. Theraël always refused to talk to Azran, not adressing them a single word for over 70 years. Partly because of this rejection and under Yevlan's influence, Azran started hating their mother back.
After their corruption arc, this hate worsened both ways. Theraël felt relieved when Klavia banished Azran from Altea after they corrupted the mortals. She never forgave their treason and didn't even try to.
VALRYN
Theraël hates Valryn just as much as Azran, if not more. Since he comes from her repressed anger, he was destructive and chaotic as a child already and used violence to get his mother's attention. His habit of breaking everything on Altea used to piss Theraël off and she didn't refrain from showing Valryn a strong despise.
His birth was motivated by the idea of getting rid of her emotions, but Theraël was obviously too young to be a mother aged 40 and made a lot of mistakes.
The affection she didn't give him caused Valryn to have parental issues and become even more brutal. Theraël never ever trusted him in anything and refused to let him join the Council : in 333, it offended him and he broke Altea in two throwing a tantrum.
His mother never forgave him and Valryn was the first God to ever be banished from Altea. They physically fought multiple times when he tried to come back and Theraël always won.
Theraël's hate towards Valryn is reciprocate and he wishes for her downfall since the day of his exile.
ACHERUS
Acherus is the third child Theraël hates the most, except it's not reciprocate.
He comes from her sadness and often makes her feel blue when they interact. Theraël saw him as useless and annoying when he still was on Altea, because he kept complaining about how life was hard and she thought his depression was taking too much space.
She didn't properly "hate" him until 375, when Acherus spread many diseases on Earth after losing Wyn's friendship and the control of his powers.
Seeing his son hurt such a sacred place drove Theraël crazy and she first gave him a second chance, asking him to fix his wrongs. Since Acherus didn't have the mental space and strength to do it, he was banished from Altea not long after his brother Valryn.
Theraël never forgave him but Acherus still has a deep respect and love for her.
JASWINN and ORYNDË
Jaswinn and Oryndë are amongst the rare children to be truly loved by Theraël. She considers them as her son and daughter since they come from her blood mixed with earth and water. Theraël appreciates the spouses' calm personalities and lifestyle : from the day they were born, they never misbehaved nor caused trouble on Altea. She can see a lot of harmony in their relationship and is positively affected by the purity of their love.
Theraël let Jaswinn and Oryndë distance themselves from Altea and settle on Earth, but she still sees them from time to time. She has a total trust in them and even offred them a seat on the Royal Council, which only Oryndë accepted.

ABILITIES
Acherus is mostly known for his ability to curse people and places. Since he is the God of Affliction, he can create and spread diseases or disasters that could kill any living being or devastate Earth itself.
His second role allows him to also cause or suppress sadness in people's heart. He is sometimes seen making deals with mortals, granting them happiness in exchange of their soul.
PERSONALITY
Since he comes from Theraël's feeling of sadness, Acherus suffers and has always suffered from depression. No matter what he or anyone tries to do, this sadness never fades away and seems to come from nowhere. His mental health worsened during his childhood, since his brother Valryn started beating him for no reason.
Because of Valryn's abuse, Acherus also is a feraful person who doesn't know how to deal with his problems and prefers running away from them. He can be considered as a coward and his depression sometimes makes him appear as lazy, because he is never in the condition to do anything.
He lacks self-confidence, doesn't like to be noticed and is afraid of bonding with people. For this reason, Acherus is someone very awkward and can also be physically clumsy. However, he acts very sweet and protective with his loved ones, such as Imshâr or Ugraihn for example.
He is prompt to complain and whinge all the time and this temper usually annoys his family.

ANRIEL - Klavia
- ROLE
Klavia is Theraël's little sister and "daughter" she created. She's the Goddess of Justice and Temperance and the second God-dess to ever be born. She became Theraël's royal counselor and has the role to create rules on Altea and punish the Gods who violate them.

• Species : Goddess (Justice, Temperance)
• Age : 593
• Height : 165
- ILLUSTRATIONS, COMICS, SHITPOST
- Illustrations :
Lazy - Modern AU -
- Comics :
- Shitpost :
- ABILITIES
Since she's a child, Klavia seems to have the ability to slightly read into people's heart. She easily notices who's a good person or not and therefore, she can see that something is wrong with Yevlan's behavior. Yet, she never exactly knows what and is not always trusted by the other Gods because she can't explain her intuitions.
Her left eye shines when she tries to read into someone's heart.
Moreover, Klavia is able to fight with the needles she uses as hairpins. They are extremely powerful : she mutilated Azran with it to the point they lost their legs.
- PERSONALITY
Klavia is very mature and reasoned. She rarely lets her emotions and feelings overwhelm her and can appear as cold and heartless.
As a Goddess of Justice, she has strong morals and will never deviate from Altea's rules and her values. She tries to be as fair as possible when she has to punish the wrongdoers, and her main goal is that everything goes right on Altea and the less possible people are hurt.
For this purpose, Klavia can show high severity and stiffness. She won't forgive any violation of the law and won't hesitate to send someone in prison, even her own nephews and nieces.
Because of this cold and strict temper, Klavia is disliked by many Gods on Altea. She also is socially akward herself, which doesn't help her making friends. Since she can read into hearts, Klavia tends to only see what's negative in people and can't maintain long-term relationships. Moreover, she's not much of an entertraining person, what makes her even more impopular. She's an honest woman who hates lying and is often seen saying every thing crossing her mind, even if it's hurtful : truth is an important value to Klavia, who never sugarcoats things and thinks it's for the better. She can feel when people are being hypocritical with her and can't stand it.
Despite being isolated from most of her family, she's very close to Theraël and is highly devoted to her. Klavia does her best to advise her and be the best counselor as possible, even if her judgment isn't always perfect.
She would do anything for her queen, even sacrificing her own physical and mental health. During Yevlan's coup d'état near the end of The Anriel, Klavia refuses to surrender and keeps defending Theraël even if it causes her to be tortured.
- BACKSTORY
Klavia was created in 107 by Theraël, who merged Altea's ashes with her blood so she could have a friend and counselor by her side. She became the Goddess of Justice after creating rules on Altea in order to prevent Valryn from destroying everything.
She quickly became unpopular on Altea due to her distant personality and role as a punisher, which caused her to be feared and disliked. When Theraël married Yevlan, she was the only person who saw their relationship as problematic and tried to reason her sister. Seeing her depressed and exhausted, she decided to help her even more and to take the responsibilites Yevlan didn't honor, slowly getting burnt out.
Klavia was the one who bannished Valryn, Acherus and Azran for the harm they caused on Earth and Altea.
She met Ugraihn in 507 after he was accepted on Altea and bonded with him : it resulted in a loving yet dysfunctional romantic relationship, which brutally ended in 543.
During Yevlan's tyranny, she strongly disagreed with his deeds and stood against him : she was therefore imprisoned and tortured, even losing half of her body because of Azran.
- PRIVATE LIFE
In her personal life, Klavia tends to feel alone since she struggles making friends due to her cold personality. She barely can maintain long-term relationships.
In terms of sexual life, she once slept with Theraël but it was a one night stand and they never did it again.
Klavia also had a short romantic relationship with Ugraihn, but it only lasted a few decades because she was constantly hurt by the conflicts the God of War accidentally provoked. Nevertheless, their break-up was rather sane and benevolent and they remained good friends afterward.

RELATIONSHIPS
THERAËL
Klavia was created in 107 by Theraël so she could guide and advise her.

They slept together once after Theraël discovered about Yevlan's adultery and was furious and desperate. It was a one night stand but Klavia did her best to respect her sexual needs and limits.
YEVLAN
Klavia, as well as Nisis, is one of the rare people not to appreciate Yevlan. Since the very first day he arrived on Altea, she felt something was off with him and saw him as a danger without knowing why.
Before Yevlan married Theraël and started being abusive, he technically did nothing wrong but she read his heart as impure. Klavia then quickly noticed he was not treating her sister right and suspected him of even worse but couldn't prove it.
She also despises his laziness and immaturity, stating his behavior doesn't fit his responsibilities as a king.
Many times, she tried to warn Theraël about his toxic traits and save her from his abuse but always failed. The rest of the family doesn't trust her either when she says Yevlan is a bad person, which is frustrating for Klavia who feels helpless against his popularity.
Yevlan hates her back and does everything for her to be dismissed from her role as a counselor, but Theraël trusts her enough to keep her by her side.
They are often seen arguing and calling each other names. When Yevlan takes the throne, Klavia is the first person he sends to prison and gets tortured.
UGRAIHN
When he first arrived on Altea, Ugraihn was feared by most of the Gods because of his inglorious origins : Klavia was the first person to bond with him, as she saw something good in him and refrained from judging him.
They engaged in a romantic relationship not long after and this love helped them both with their self-esteem problems and loneliness. Yet, their couple quickly became dysfunctional : Ugraihn disagreed with some of her decisions as a ruler, mostly the one to banish his friend Acherus and mother Hel'norii from Altea. Klavia herself was tired and hurt by the conflicts Ugraihn regularly caused on Earth, even knowing it was accidental.
They argued a lot and struggled finding a balance in this fragile relationship, but stayed together for 40 years because they made each other happy. They finally broke up after the revolution because the traumas caused by Yevlan's tyranny damaged their bond a lot. Still, they remained good friends and treat each other with respect.
VALRYN, AZRAN and ACHERUS
Klavia is the one who decided Valryn, Azran and Acherus would be banished on Demios after causing chaos on Altea and Earth. She despises Valryn and Azran for what they did and their wicked personality; she hates Acherus less because she knows he acted out of clumsiness, but still won't forgive him.
At the end of the story, she accepts Acherus back on Altea after he proves his loyalty by taking part of the revolution. Acherus never did and will never resent Klavia from her decision to banish him, while Valryn and Azran deeply hate her. Therefore, Azran is very pleased to torture her on Yevlan's orders.
NISIS
Klavia befriended Nisis a bit after he became the heir to the throne and joined the Council. Both being loyal, honest and reasonable, they share the same principles and agree on many things. They have a great esteem for each other despite not talking much.
Klavia was the first person to suspect Yevlan from abusing him as a child, but he refused to talk it out. After Yevlan was defeated at the end of the story, Nisis finally confessed to her so his father would be properly judged for this crime.
FERËV
Ferëv and Klavia never liked each other. Klavia resents her for normalizing domestic abuse and convincing Theraël to stay with Yevlan and obey him.
Ferëv despised Klavia for a long time because she wasn't in a romantic relationship yet. She's one of the people who made her believe she was unworthy of love and made everything for her to feel insecure and humiliated.
