1. Today I went to my moms house bc I forgot my laptop there from yday and I just hung out w Shiloh Jimmy and christine. Shiloh is seriously such a cutie. She’s still such a baby too. In comparison to Dani and naya she feels so tiny. I eat so much junk when I’m at their place bc they have snacks eveywhereeeeeeeeeeeee. I’ve also noticed I have such a voracious need to snack. My period isn’t due for another 2 weeks but I’m going to blame it on some pms and some of my body just trying to get back to my normal weight after losing a few pounds from the tooth stuff. Why body why. Why can’t I just be skinny.

Shiloh and christine were watching the bts concert when I went downstairs hahah. Shiloh loves bts. She’ll stand up at the good parts and dance. It was so interesting watching their concert through. It just feels like one of those things where if youre not there it just feels kind of weird and you see it for what it is: a few people just walking around and emitting sounds on a stage.

2. When I picked up dani they said she fell when she was running to the sand pit in the playground. 😭. It was so sad seeing her. Her chin is a little scratched up and she has a swollen upper lip. My poor baby. I bet she cried so much. But at the end of the day when i picked her up she at least seemed happy and normal. Also I was talking to a mom bc her son was having a birthday party and I lost the card so I asked her for the deets. And she said oh whose your kid? When j told her it was nay she lit up and said oh Peter talks about nayA and how he likes to play w her. I said oh that’s good to know bc nay never tells me anything.

Then later on our drive home, unprompted, naya said Peter was chasing me today. I don’t like that! Me: why? Maybe he just wanted to have fun and play tag.

Naya: I don’t like it. What if he pinches me.

I was like welp. So much for Peter.

Then I made the kids listen to one of my favorite classical songs lately and naya was hemming and hawing all throughout. I said naya why don’t u like it? Just listen and feel. What do you feel? I look back and she seems upset so i said do u feel sad? And she said yeah! Finally when it was over she said don’t play that ever again. It was boring. And it made me feel sad. She reiterated a few times and made me agree never to play it again lol. It’s seriously a beautiful song. I get why it would make her feel sad though. It has clear tragedy written all over it.

3. since I haven’t set a daily word goal I feel like I’m writing at a snail pace.

This is me. I will write a sentence and then go la do da. Then an hour later I’ll write another sentence. I have to get a move on it. My goal is to go to the writers retreat in Sedona when Jason’s all better (hopefully during summer??) and at that point have the full full draft done so that at Sedona I’m refining / fine tuning + sending queries to literary agents.

WTH is this "Dany is the only one who fights against patriarchy" nonsense? I saw it a lot this week during this tr*mp book drama. This is a slap in the face of everyone who fought & still fights tooth & nail for their rights. rapists? Was it when she repeatedly refused to punish rapists in Meereen? Was it when she berated Irri & Jhiqui for bickering over their crush - who belongs to Dany, according to her? ("His life belongs to me, not you" This line disturbs me so much) Since they use Dosh Khaleen -completely brushing off the racism in that ofc- for their FeMiNiSt KwEeN arguments, I can use show too: Was it when she prostituted Doreah to Qartheen noblemen and then killed her when she dared to defy her pimp Dany? /2

Was it when she took all the Dothraki men (with their horses & weapons) across another continent to die for HER leaving all the Dothraki women (along with kids, elderly, & disabled) behind unprotected to be raped, killed and enslaved? And ofc there is a 2nd part to their claim: "Unlike Sansa whose *weakness* is palatable, D is threatening to men, that's why they hate her." Only one of these characters had been vilified for years, DECADES and called a bitch for not falling in love with her husband, not letting him fuck her. And that wasn't Daenerys. /4

In the show too, clearly underaged ST's Sansa was called a bitch for not loving Tyrion. Whereas EC's D who while an adult, still suffered a violent rape, yet her "falling in love with her rapist" story -yuck- was seen positively, as was D. (Partly the writing, partly bc EC & JM hyping the relationship) Men don't self-insert themselves into evil guy #8952 Dny killed. They self-insert into Drogo, into Daario whom D spent the whole ADWD mooning after. Oh yes D is so threatening to men, suuure... /5
