Leo couldn’t help the smug, cocky smile on his face. I mean, why wouldn’t you want to observe someone as amazing as him? He’ll definitely be bragging to his brothers later, and believe me, he will not shut up about it for at least a day or two.

Even if he didn’t show it, or even admit it out loud, your interest made him feel tingly and warm inside. You made him feel so loved, and like he was important and special.

He knew you would be mad if you knew he was looking through your stuff, but you’re the one who left your backpack in his room, just begging to be gone through! And when he found a file with HIS name on it, how could he resist? Again believe me, you will never hear the end of this.

And of course, he wouldn’t want you to have any misinformation…

Originally I was going to do both Bayverse and Rottmnt but I wrote this pretty late and couldn’t come up with many ideas for Bayverse. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Raphael

I feel like Raph is the kind of person to act casual around his crush and then freak out later

He’ll get excited around you and try to show you extra care

He’s also going to be very worried for your safety

If you had plans to go over to the lair and end up being 10 minutes late he’s already picturing the worst

Raph does try show off his muscle and strength sometimes

Particularly if you watch him train, it’s a huge confidence boost

But his favourite moments are when you get to watch him win against one of his brothers while sparring

Oh come on you totally cheated. Sorry Leo rules are rules. That was awesome Raph! O-oh Y/N! Thanks.

He is a gentle giant so you can expect him to be extra attentive to your every need

And of course he’s giving out the best hugs of all time

While he may be pretty chill about his feelings, if you flirt with him it will leave him a flustered mess

I’m talking, he may be unable to form coherent sentences for several hours

At the end of the day, he just really wants you to like him and will always be there for you no matter what

And yes, he will talk about you frequently because how else is he meant to go over your every interaction from that day

He’s also an easily jealous person so if he sees any of your human friends as competition, hide them

Another important thing to note is that he loves to show off

He’s got fighting moves, skateboard tricks, video game scores, comic collections and more

Donnie is far more reserved in comparison to Leo

He also has a very complicated idea of what he wants

He wants you to know he likes you without you knowing he wants you to know he likes you

That being said, there are a lot of different ways to tell if Donnie is pining for you

He’ll feel more comfortable with you in his lab vs others

Lots of gifts and is always free for whatever favour you need

You can expect to be given more privileges around his tech

But that’s also because he wants to impress you with it

He might also make small comments to hint he likes you

Imagine: Revelations Ezio falling in love with a young scholar and apprentice of Leonardo Da Vinci - Part 1

She had moved from England to Florence be with her mother’s side of the family, seeing as the Italian city was more open to women pursuing her interests.

Before that she had been in France and there, she met Leonardo Da Vinci. She began working with him and they got along wonderfully, when Leo heard about her plans to move to Florence, he entrusted the care of several of his artworks to her so they could be transported back to his hometown. To his original studio where she’ll run it for him and take in fellow artists.

They write back and forth for several years before the events of Revelations and the young woman convinces Da Vinci to share his work with all those he can. By opening up studios in well to do cities besides Florence and Paris. Such as Constantinople and Rome.

Da Vinci is impressed by her commitment, so he agrees to it. She goes to Constantinople and one of her trusted fellow artists takes over the one in Florence.

When she arrives in Constantinople, she’s nervous because she does not speak the language, but excited to get started. She gets lost on her way to the studio and while she doesn’t mind bc the city is beautiful; she realizes that she needs help.

Before she can ask for help a certain well known and beloved Turkish assassin sees her and offers his help. You guessed it! Yusuf Tazim. He escorts her to the studio, and they chat about pretty much anything and everything bc she was far off, and they instantly get along.

A note to the lovely readers: She already knows about the assassin’s bc she’s seen devices that Leo was working on for Ezio. Not to mention that when she was younger her father spoke of a man who saved his life in Florence. Giovanni Auditore. As a rich English nobleman her father & Ezio’s father met, when he was attacked by Templars hoping to scare/threaten him into financially supporting them. It didn’t work and the two became good friends. Her father was even there when Giovanni married Maria. Ever since, her father has always spoken highly of the Auditore family, even years later after returning to England.

Also note: She is a late baby born to her parents in her father’s early 50’s & her mother’s early 40’s. She was born in 1490 making her 21 (almost 22 - she hasn’t had her birthday yet) and Ezio 53.

Ezio sees her for the first time at the docks when he arrives in the Turkish city. She’s standing beside Yusuf coaching him on his Italian bc this man told her about his “Ezio de lalala” joke and she’s terrified it’ll get him sliced and diced LOL. Ezio immediately wonders who she is, drawn to her wit and the fact that she tried to encourage Yusuf to be respectful during their first interaction, not to mention her reaction when Yusuf got nervous and winged it...which means he accidentally reverted back to "Ezio de lalala" lol.

The woman shook her head as she face palmed, before patting the man on the shoulder and backing away from him. "Requiescat In Pace Yusuf."

The Turkish assassin laughed nervously before his head swiveled to watch her back up from him. "(name) where are you going?"

She held her hands up "I'm not trying to see you die Mr. De Lalala!"

"I got nervous!"

"Well, you certainly have reason to be now look at his hand!"

Ezio froze as the pair turned their eyes to him, before realizing that his fingers were meeting his thumb in a gesture all too familiar to him. He slowly raised his hand and sighed taking a step forward, "Da Firenze."

"Ah. Apologies Mentor."

She smiled as Ezio chuckled. "See! Easy." then her smile dropped. "Now I'm going to run before he slices you."

Yusuf laughed as his friend retreated from himself and the Mentor, "(name) he took the joke!"

She called out over her shoulder, not stopping in pursuit of distancing herself from them. "And in another minute, he'll take your young life!"

Needless to say, Ezio is very amused by her humor and also how adorably she ran away. After speaking with Yusuf, he finds out that she'll be around often because she also helps the doctor for the assassin's - working on the side as his apprentice.

He won't deny that he also finds her very beautiful - even more so with the few flecks of paint he noticed on her hands (the man's fond of artists hello to his best friend? Also not following cannon that Leo passed away in 1519 @ 67, he's still alive). Knowing that he'll have another chance to see her again fills him with excitement and also nerves, as it's been a little bit since he's been around such an interesting and beautiful woman.

Ezio certainly looks forward to his next encounter with her....

The Side bar

Bringing Raph down to the Speakeasy had been the right call. Between the work of Leo, Cheech and Leonardo, Raph was back on his feet and talking in no time.

“And what have we learned?” Leo asked, making sure Raph’s pupil response was back to normal. It was, thankfully, and Leo was hopeful for his recovery.

“To not just eat everything offered to me without checking first,” Raph replied sulkily. Leo knew he had been excited for the cookies and he was upset that it had made him drop.

“Exactly.” Leo nodded and looked up at Cheech. “Can you keep an eye on him for a bit? Plenty of fluids, preferably tea, and make sure he stays here for at least ten minutes.”

“Sure thing, Leon. Worst comes to worst, I’ll make Leonardo sit on him.”

“Hey! I’m not that big!”

“Sure you are, Dove, but I love that about you.”

“Thanks guys.” Leo gave a cheery salute and wandered backwards. “The Caseys have gone to look for Mona, I think she was still with that adorable little turtle with the flowers and strawberries? Anyway, don’t let him leave until Mona comes to get him.”

‘Raph is more than capable of–”

“Sure thing, Leon. See you in a bit.” Cheech grinned and looked down at Raph. “You can stay here and enjoy some tea. I wanna hear all about your lovely girlfriend from you instead of him.” He nodded towards Leo. That was the right move because Raph lit up and started chattering away. Leo knew he left his big brother in good hands.

Leo turned and decided to go find Yuichi. Last he saw him, he had been chasing Donnie who had gotten hold of some Uranium. Leo knew that even with Juan present to keep them somewhat grounded, Leo would need to keep an eye on his two favourite dumbasses. Donnie and Yuichi were a surprisingly chaotic duo.

He was so lost in thought that he almost ran into someone.

“Hey, watch where you’re– oh, it’s you.” Leo looked up and saw Cleo, the grumpy, drunk Leo that Yuichi had managed to befriend earlier..

“Hey Cleo. How are you doing?” He looked less drunk now, but much grumpier. Maybe his Leo was causing him problems, apparently they didn’t get along.

“Worse. My Leo is trying to get himself adopted by another counterpart,” Cleo griped. “I swear, he’s so irritating.”

“Hey, cut him some slack, dude, he’s probably just still trying to process everything,” Leo said with what he hoped was a reassuring grin. “Just give him some space, maybe try for a smile, it’ll work wonders.” He clapped Cleo on his shoulder and stiffened the moment he made contact. What the–

Cleo recoiled, his eyes going wide and wait, did they just flash purple? “You’re–”

“It’s under control,” Leo cut him off sharply. “Yes, I am aware of the parasite sharing my body, no I am not concerned because he can’t take control from me.” He knew that somehow Cleo had sensed Prime, who was watching with wide eyed awe at the proceedings. “I’m not a threat to anyone here. Don’t mistake me for one.”

Cleo stared at Leo for a moment, his eyes searching Leo’s face with a mixture of revulsion, anger and self loathing. Then he turned with a huff. “Whatever. I need a drink.” He stalked off without another word.

Weird. Leo did not like that interaction and he was glad it was over. Now, he just had to figure out where his twin and boyfriend were…

Something drew Leo’s attention. He wasn’t sure what, but it reminded him somehow of the imprint. It was something soul deep, something instinctual. What was…?

There was a door to the side. Everyone seemed to be walking right past it, as if they didn’t see the swirls of mystic energy pouring off of it. What was it about that door that drew Leo’s attention so strongly? Why was he so compelled to enter it?

Slowly, he walked over to the door, weaving though the crowd as he followed this gut feeling and entered the room.

The room was dark, much darker and moodier than the cheerful, welcoming lighting of the Speakeasy outside. Scattered around were a number of tables, each housing a different person who Leo recognised. There were Draxums, some with minions and some without, Bishops, both male and female but all wearing the distinctive EPF logos, and even some Big Mamas. There was even a table full of villains that Leo knew well, like Meatsweats, Repo and Hypno (Who wasn’t really a villain anymore but he was previously).

“Welcome to the side bar,” There was a man behind a counter. Well, it was sort of shaped like a man, except it seemed to be made entirely of black goop. There was a square of whiteness around it, containing it to the bar area, but Leo got bad feelings from it. He didn’t want to be anywhere near that goop man. “If you’re here, you’ve probably been labelled as a villain in your universe, so make yourself at home. Just watch out for the Bishops, they’re not against grabbing newbies. And if you want to know anything, just ask. I can tell you anything you want, for a price.” Leo shuddered. He would not be asking anything.

Instead, he looked around in shock. The Villains bar? Why was he here?

Wait, he knew why he was here. He was part Kraang and even before that, he had been Blue Oni. He had attacked his brothers, almost killed his dads. Yeah, he was entitled to be here, and that was without Prime’s help.

“It seems to take in former villains too,” Prime pointed out helpfully as Leo spotted a Draxu, who looked to be in his lunch lady uniform. Okay then, that was something to celebrate then. He didn’t need to be actively evil to spot this place.

Before he could explore further, a dark shape suddenly loomed behind him. A wicked red glow lit up the world around him and for a split second, Leo froze. He knew that presence, he knew that glow.

Subprime was here.

Then Leo took a breath and he turned.

“Well if it isn’t the wad of chewing gum I just hate to see.” He drawled. “How have you been, buddy? Prison dimension treating you well?” Leo knew he was playing with fire here. All the others in the bar had frozen, staring at him in shock. Clearly no one had been brave enough to confront this Kraang up until now. Leo, however, was unfazed. He had confronted this monster more times than he could count in his dreamscape. He wasn’t scared anymore.

“I wasn’t aware they let… pests into this place,” The Kraang growled. “Still, you’ll be entertaining to play–”

Leo cut him off simply by waving his hand. “Before you finish that thought, I have a question for you.” The Kraang spluttered in annoyance. “Are you your universe’s Kraang Prime?”

“Yes.” The weaker Kraang Prime said slowly, as if contemplating Leo’s audacity and how best to destroy him.

“Oh, that’s good then.” Leo allowed his mycelia out from his shell, letting them wrap along his arms, legs and carapace. He instinctively knew that his brown eye had turned pink. When he next spoke, his voice echoed with power. “So am I. And guess what, buddy? I outrank you.” With a wave of his hand, Leo grabbed the Kraang matter in this pathetic version of Prime’s body and sent him flying into an unoccupied booth. Heh. That was way more satisfying in real life.

“Don’t get carried away, Leo,” Prime reminded him. “Remember that you brothers have organised it so you don’t indulge in that side of your mindset.”

Right. The shared dreamscapes that his brothers had set up. Leo hadn’t visited the prison dimension in months because of that. He needed to control himself better.

“Y’know, that was pretty impressive.” The voice behind Leo made him jump. That sounded like– “We’ve all had to hide in the corner because he wouldn’t stop looming. Thanks for dealing with him.” There was another Leo, slightly older than him and dressed in a very stylish coat. Woah, he was cool. There were a few other Leos there, as well as a few other turtles too. Huh. Maybe it wasn’t so weird for some of their counterparts to be ‘evil’ after all.

“No problem. He’s just a big bully. You kick his ass, he knows when to stay down.” Leo said with a shrug, allowing his mycelia to retract. “Uh, for reference, I am still Leo. Don’t be calling me Prime or anything, he’s just a ride along who’s powers I can borrow.”

“Good to know. Or else I’d have to kill you.” The fashionable Leo said with a grin. Leo had a feeling that he was being serious but he couldn’t be sure. He was hard to read. “Did you wanna come sit with us?”

“Nah, I’m good, but thanks for the invite. I’m just looking around before I head back out.” Leo didn’t really want to linger here. It was doing things to his head if he thought any of this was okay.

He glanced around again as the turtles left and headed to an empty booth. Well, all but one.

“You’ve met my brother.” The Donatello was familiar somehow but Leo couldn’t place why. Then he realised.

“You’re Cleo’s Donnie.” There was something about this Donnie that just reminded him of Cleo. The thing that threw Leo off, though, was the fact that this Donnie was so much older than Cleo. He was clearly in his thirties, maybe older, but Cleo was mid twenties. “Why are you here?”

“I wish I could tell you, kid. I just know that I can see this place and the others can’t.” Leo was gonna call this Donnie ‘Tello’ for now. Just so he didn’t get confused. “Also, watch your back. Those two drinking wine have their eye on you.” Leo looked over and saw two Bishops both sipping wine. They looked away when Leo met their gaze with a threatening look of his own.

“Thanks for the heads up.” He paused before glancing back up at Tello. “Uh, you might want to check on Cleo, by the way. He caught a sense of Prime and, uh, it freaked him out?” Hopefully Tello would be able to help.

“He doesn’t want to see me.” Was the only answer Leo got. Well there went that idea.

“Oh-kay then. Well, I need to get going. It was nice meeting you.” Leo didn’t like the vibes Tello was giving off. There was something broken and unhinged about this version of Donnie, more so than any of the other Donnies Leo had met. He could understand why Cleo was so grumpy if his Tello was like that.

Leo turned and started walking away, only to run straight into a solid chest. He looked up and flinched back when he saw a Draxum in his full armour from back when he was a bad guy, not the Rara that Leo knew and loved now. The helmet alone was enough to make Leo uncomfortable.

“Turtle,” the Draxum greeted with a nod. “That was an impressive display. I don’t know if you’d be willing to help train my current project?” He tugged on a chain and Leo saw a small form stumble forwards. They seemed to have their wrists chained together. His eyes widened when he realised that it was a mutated, turtle version of April.

It took everything Leo had to not draw his swords right then and cut this Draxum down, regardless of his own Rara. “I suggest you get out of my sight before I slice off the hand that is holding her hostage,” he growled. “I will only give you this warning once because part of the rules of being here means that we’re not allowed to cause grievous bodily harm. If you do not leave now, I will be violating that rule. Are we clear?”

To his credit, the Draxum looked disturbed. He ran off with the mutant turtle April following after him. Leo caught the thankful, apologetic look she shot him as she went. At least she still had her fighting spirit, from what Leo could tell. She’d escape soon enough, even if Leo wanted to help her out now. Unfortunately, that was against the rules.

He took a breath.

What was Leo doing again?

Was he… going to get a drink? With the other villains. Yeah, that seemed right.

“Uh, Cos?” Wait, that was Donnie’s voice in his head. The imprint! “We have a problem. I need you asap!”

Like a rubber band that was finally released, Leo felt his mind snap back into place. He wasn’t a villain, he was a hero like his brothers. He was a good guy who just happened to do some bad stuff unwillingly.

“Where are you and what do you need?” Leo asked, turning and marching out of the side bar.

“The uranium may or may not be affecting the plants I’ve got. I need to get it out of here and my portals aren’t strong enough to get out of the arena. Yuichi tried zapping it all away with his katana but it just made the plants start sending out sparks!” Eugh boy, this wasn’t going to be good. Leo needed to track them down and clean up Donnie’s mess, as usual. Not that he was complaining, he’d take this over having no twin any day. But why did his twin and his boyfriend have to be such a chaotic duo? Why couldn’t they just have one safe experiment where Leo didn’t need to save their butts?

“How does that even work? Never mind. I’ll be right over.”

He decided to keep the existence of the side bar to himself for now. It would only upset his brothers, and he’d do anything to keep them happy.

Here’s my day 6 omovember entry! Yes I know I didn’t follow the prompt exactly but I was inspired!

Omovember day 6: body of water

It was a hot summer day at a waterpark . Leonardo Fortunato and Velvel Carpathia stood in line for a ride along with Leon’s twin sons Conde and Sirius.

“Damn this line” Leon said . The line was on a staircase going upward to where the ride started. Leon realized he needed to pee thirty minutes ago but thought one more ride couldn’t hurt.

“I know right, almost as if the whole town decided they wanted to go on this ride” Velvel remarked, unaware of Leon’s predicament. The black haired twins were occupied with chatting with each other excited to go on the ride, also unaware of how long it’s been and how long it will be.

“Looks like we are halfway there at least ” Leon said looking up at the rest of the wrap around staircase . Water dripped down off of the other soaked patrons onto the people below them. Leon squeezed his legs together and grimaced. His need was rapidly getting worse. His soaked shorts didn’t exactly help with the feeling.

The line moved enough for them to walk up one step and onto a platform entrance for the next set of stairs. The twins happily looked down to see how far up they were.

“Daddy look!” Conde exclaimed. He pointed outwards. “We can see the whole park from here!”

“Wow yeah bud” Leon said feigning his excitement. Looks like there’s no way I can just go back down. He thought.

Velvel leaned against the railing. His silver hair waving from the breeze. Leon was cold and squeezed his legs together and hugged himself.

“You alright?” Velvel asked.

“Yeah just really need to pee” Leon admitted “like really bad”

“Well we are more than halfway there now so it should be fine, just pee on the ride” Velvel giggled to which Leon glared at him embarrassed. Leon glanced down , the people below him were chatting and laughing. He realized his legs were shaking. His bladder ached. He squirmed around. The twins were still distracted by looking out at the park. Leon’s mind went to dangerous places but he quickly shook his head knowing he could will himself out of it. But he could hear the water from the ride rushing and it made his need worse.

The line moved up and the group climbed up the steps. The movement from climbing up the steps caused Leon to realize just how bad he needed to go. He wasn’t gonna make it. His mind started to race. He was stood next to Velvel. The twins were a step ahead of them.

“Velvel I need to go “ Leon whispered.

“ the ride requires four people, the twins and I aren’t heavy enough, you can wait just a little longer” Velvel said and took his hand in his. Leon cursed himself. His already wet shorts were cold and the feeling pressing against his urethra was making him really want to let go. He put his hand discreetly in between his legs and started to wiggle around from desperation.

“Seriously Leon” Velvel laughed when he noticed.

“Yes this is very serious” Leon said exasperated. Velvel must’ve read from his expression on his face and realized how bad the situation was. Velvel rubbed his back in comfort.

“We’re almost there just a little longer. Velvel said. Leon looked up , there was still a ways to go. The line moved again and soon they were up onto another platform.

Leon looked down at the platform below,it was full of people. He almost yelped when he leaked but quickly quelled it and looked down again watching the small amount of urine drip down his legs. He definitely wasn’t gonna make it.

“Velvel-“ he started and a sudden warmth flooded his shorts. Velvel watched him as urine poured down his legs . Leon gave up and stopped squirming and just stood letting relief take over him . The urine retrenched his damp shorts and poured down his legs and leaked onto the platform and people below him.

“Daddy.. are you peeing?” Sirius asked.

Leon sighed “yes baby I am”

He overheard the people below him “is it raining?” One asked and then to his horror looked up. Leon stood there peeing and realized just how much was coming out of him. The urine was soaking the people below him.

“Oh my god ewww” the girl with the now drenched hair yelled. Tears pricked at Leon’s eyes and Velvel rubbed his back while he continued to pee. He reeked of urine. The people nearby started to snicker and comment amongst themselves. The people below him scrambled to get out of the way despite already having urine all over them. The girl with the drenched hair was crying now.

When he stopped peeing he was teary eyed and started to sob. Despite the mess he made Velvel hugged him and they decided to leave . On the way down people glared and laughed at Leon . Velvel stopped on the way to get the contact info of the girl with the drenched hair so that he could make amends by buying her dinner. The ride home was silent. Leon was still crying.

Leonardo (TMNT2014/2016): Short Story- Chapter 3

“Do you want to meet again?”

“What’s your favorite food?

“Do you like the color blue?

“When can we meet again?”

The last thing he expects is the list of texts from you.

Raph had turned at the insistent beeping of Leo’s phone.

“Girlfriend blowing you up.”

“She’s not my girlfriend.” Leo grumbled.

Another text came in. It was an attachment of your address and Leo decided at that moment that he really needed to see you. If nothing but to inform you that you shouldn’t be so trusting with personal information.

“I’m going out.”

“Say hi to your girlfriend.” Raph taunted.

Leo just rolled his eyes.

It’s expected that Raph would be acting like a child.

Waiting in your apartment, you were quickly tidying everything up. It was already after dark, so you hoped it wasn’t too much of a bother for him to come over. After a few minutes of frantic running about, you finally look satisfied with the results.

The soft knock at your window makes you perk up. You practically rip it open, smiling.

“You’re here!”

Leo stepped in slowly, closing the window behind him.

Now safely inside, he studies it. The size of your apartment. The overly excited look on your face.

“Was there something you needed to talk about?”

You shake your head.

“Not particularly. I just wanted to see you.”

That statement shouldn’t give him such a warm feeling. Especially since he hardly knows you.

“Listen, I appreciate your cooperation but I have a job to do. I have to keep the people of this city safe.”

Your smile dropped.

“Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t realize. I was just happy, you know. It’s not often I get to interact with sea friends outside of the water. I guess I was being a bit unreasonable.”

Leo wishes he could agree and just walk away, but he knows what it’s like to be a bit lonely. He had his brothers, but that didn’t exempt him. He understood how Mikey felt, wanting to be at the surface. Finding someone outside his family who can relate with that is rare.

“It’s alright. I just need you to be more careful. You just handed me your address."

“Why would I be worried, you’re harmless.”

There’s that word.

“That doesn’t mean you should abandon logic.”

“I gotcha. I’ll be careful.”

He wasn't sure you were really listening to what he was saying.

“So what’s your favorite color, mine is blue!”

It’s obvious that you heard absolutely nothing he just said.

Leo knew he had to be careful. 

Your little meetings continued.

You’d text him to ask if he could stop by when he was free. He should have denied you. He couldn’t afford the distraction, but the way your face lit up every time you saw him just did something to him.

Like today.

You’d invited him to watch a movie. He was about to deny you, but the smell of pizza pulled him in and before he knew it you were sleeping on his shoulder as he stared at the rolling credits. You seem to lack a sense of danger. He could understand why. You were fairly powerful. He’d seen you use just a fraction of your power, who knows what else you had in your arsenal. That’s why he thought you should be more careful. But whenever you look at him, it’s like you lowered every guard. He wasn’t sure how to feel about that. He should be happy that you treat him with such trust, ease, but the more he thought about it, the more aware he became of you.

Maybe that’s why he started opening up. 

Telling you about his life.

His family.

“You have brothers?”

“Yes.”

He wasn’t sure if it was possible for your eyes to get brighter.

“OH MY GOSH THERE’S MORE OF YOU!! THAT’S AWESOME!!”

Your yell startled him .

“KEEP IT DOWN!!”

It was the voice of your neighbor from next door and you winced.

“Sorry!!”

You giggled to yourself and Leo just shook his head. He’s sort of used to it by now. 

You’re childish. It’s a bit endearing.

One particular night he’d decided to just check in. His patrols had gotten pretty hectic, so he hadn’t seen you for about a week. You were always understanding, even encouraging.

When he slid through the window, he wasn’t prepared for the sight of you standing in the living room in nothing but a towel. It seemed like you were searching for something. That stopped the second you caught sight of him.

“Leo!”

You basically sprinted in his direction and he didn’t expect you to hug him.

“I know you have the whole vigilante thing going on but I missed you. It feels like I haven’t seen you in forever.”

You held on and Leo found himself very conscious of your wet soft skin now pressed to his plastron. He swallowed, and you finally pulled away, still wearing a smile.

“You shouldn’t keep leaving your window open. I told you it’s dangerous.”

“If I don't, how would you get in, silly.”

“I’m still a male you know. Stop being so casual about this. You need to be more careful. “

“Why, you’re harmless.”

He didn’t understand why those words irritated him so much. He knew you weren’t mocking him, but your naive nature was worrying.

It reminded him of that meeting where you’d just blindly trusted him.

You’d just given him your address and invited him over. His whole appearance could have been a ruse. Yet you’d just willingly given up so much about your life because of your association with him and other sea creatures that you obviously adored. He couldn’t help but think of someone or something actually taking advantage of your naivety.

“I’m not some pet.”

His voice was a little more stern, and your brows furrowed, utterly confused on why he was suddenly so angry. His jaw was set, and you lowered your hands.

“Why are you..so mad..”

“You’re defenseless. This is real life. Just because I’m kind, you shouldn’t assume that everyone is the same.”

You frowned.

“I’m not an idiot, you know.”

Now you look hurt, and Leo wants to swallow his words.

“That’s not what I meant.”

“It’s okay.”

You lowered your gaze, and Leo wanted to apologize, explain further, but you wouldn’t even look at him. He decided then that it would be better to leave and give you some time.

“I’m sorry (Y/N).”

With that, he took off out the window.

IDW'S SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, SPRING BROKEN SPECIAL - THOUGHTS

A while back, it became pretty clear that the abundant specials IDW has been releasing for the past year have had a certain... "commonality" about them. Endless Summer, A Very Chaotix Halloween, Winter Jam - the Four Seasons theming read loud and clear. Now, up until a couple months ago, I'd assumed the 900th Adventure Special was meant to be the stand-in for Spring in this lineup, so I was a bit surprised when Spring Broken was announced to round the seasonal specials off. I was interested to see what kind of send-off they'd give this little gaggle of stories.

This time around, we have pencils by Adam Bryce Thomas and colors by Leonardo Ito. These two are a really great combo, as I think Ito's emphasis on simple, soft color palettes compliments the very manga-esque style Adam brings to the table. This style, however, leaves me a little confused as to why he, of all artists, was the one pulled for this story.

ABT tends to be at his best when working on big, over-the-top action sequences. His work really sells the sense of adrenaline the series is trying to convey in its tensest moments. That being said, the story here is... fairly mundane? The characters spend a day at the fair and solve a mystery about flowers. Heck, the entire last couple pages are entirely dedicated to showing the characters enjoying the attractions once all is said and done.

There's not really a ton here in the way of high-stakes plot that would really give Adam a chance to shine.

That being said, there's still enough here that you can see his art style noticably developing a bit in a manner akin to Evan Stanley's. Namely in the way he draws Sonic himself.

It might just be my imagination, here, but I could swear Sonic's quills are longer and come to a more distinct point than the way Adam usually draws them. We know Evan has been taking strides to incorporate elements of official 2D Sonic art into her artstyle, perhaps this is a sign that Adam has been doing the same. Beyond that, I think I'm noticing some more fun and stretchy facial expressions on some of these characters, too. When it comes to the way faces are drawn, I've always found that ABT has a tendency to stay pretty on-model, but here I'm seeing a bit more expressive warping of the facial proportions than I'd expect out of Adam.

Where Adam really knocks it out of the park here, though, is with the background character designs.

Adam's always good at drawing up unique OCs, and there are tons of 'em here. Having so many characters with so many looks and still having a consistent style to them all goes a long way toward helping the world feel just a little more lived in. Another cool bit of background work he contributed is this central figure that pops up in a few places around the festival.

Also I just noticed that Cream and Vanilla are here. Neato.

When asked about this figure on Twitter, ABT said that she's intended to be a sort of Nature Spirit, and that the festival pays reverence to her. She's never mentioned in the story, but it's a neat little detail to see the more spiritual side of this world's cultures.

As I said before, the story, written by Josh Trujillo, is not too incredibly exciting. The majority of the plot centers around the mystery behind the annual Flower Contest, which itself is really three mysteries, all of which are wrapped up pretty quickly. Really, it seems to be less about the mystery, and more about how these characters spend their free time in a sort of slice-of-life fashion. This is fine, and it shows us some neat character interactions we don't normally get to see, like Jewel and Espio or Amy and Nite, but it's also something we've been getting a lot of lately.

It almost makes me wonder, with the amount of miniseries and specials they've been putting out there recently, if it wouldn't be possible, and maybe a better use of resources, to just run a dedicated sister series devoted to telling side stories like Sonic Universe did for Archie.

I'm not the first person to make this point, but perhaps then we could get more big, exciting plots full of stakes and gravitas in the main book. Who knows.

All in all, Spring Broken didn't particularly blow me away. I'd say it's a nice break from the norm but... it's not. It's exactly the kind of story we've frankly been getting in surplus as of late. I'm ready for things to move again, ready for the non-stop, blood-pumping action of Sonic the Hedgehog! There are some cute moments here and there that I do appreciate, but I just wish they could have come at a different time.

Issue #70 drops in about 22 hours for me, so with any luck, that will scratch my itch for more exciting Sonic stories for a bit.

Transformers One: Fear overshadows excitement.

This is just a bit of rant and I apologize for the lack of eloquence and structure in my thought process as I type this message.

To begin with, I have been quite a fan of transformers franchise for many years now, and although not an expert, I really appreciate the characters and the expansive lore behind it. When I first saw the trailer for 'Transformers One," I got extremely excited at seeing another Transformer movie to add to the collection and the fact that it was an animated added to this feeling. But as I started to maul over it and reflect on what I had just watch I couldn't help but feel an gnawing emotion: fear. It may seem odd why I would feel this way so let me explain:

Lately, media has used comedy as some sort of foundation for every show/movie/etc. Don't get me wrong, comedy is great, it adds a touch of lightheartedness and can even emphasize emotional shifts. I could go on for hours on examples and how they just work and how comedy has changed nowadays to the point that it seems more like a nuisance than anything. I think just for a quick example, think of the shift from Kung Fu Panda and Kung Fu Panda 4. (I would love to go on a rant on this). And one of the main issues with this excessive comedy, is that it sacrifices story. We lose those deep heartfelt moments, those growth moments, and so much more because either they are erased from the narrative or they are quickly washed away with comedy. Now back to 'Transformers One,' I fear for this movie simply because of this tendency.

I love how it is an origin story, especially because it would add so much to the characters. Don't get me wrong, I think most of us knew that Megatron and Optimus were close friends before they became who they are but it's not really talked about (again, not an expert I'm talking from like Transformers Prime and MTMTE which I need to reread). It gives an itch, but we can't really delve or feel the actual loss between the two. To see these two characters grow and their traits interact and leave us asking what could have been. So this movie would be an amazing chance to feed us.

I am also excited because if you really think about it, the real reason why the war started, the social issue at hand, was quite hard hitting (depending of iteration) and I think could easily be applied to today's world. Because it wasn't just a caste system, the cybertronians were literally stuck in their role depending on the model they were born as (ref. MTMTE) to the point that they would try to change their parts (if I remember correctly). I don't know I am just rambling at this point, but again, I fear that this message will be lost because it will be glazed over with comedy.Like I know it's an origin story and they aren't supposed to be even thinking about war, but it sets up for it.

I was also a bit anxious about the characterizations. I fear that they will be changed just to be more 'likeable' to younger audiences. Like don't get me wrong, there are many examples where characters have been changed from the source material while still keeping the core characteristics that make them who they are. I think a good example would be Leonardo from "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." He was drastically different from the other iterations (cocky, dramatic, arrogant vs serious, focused, stern) but keeping the core characteristics (self-sacrificial, perceptive, most rational, quick-thinking, strategist). And there are examples where it is bad (Velma, although not completely bad but could use some work Wednesday, and some others I literally had a list and I just forgot.) And I think this concern first appeared when I saw Bumblebee....He...I didn't know what to think. Bumblebee always gave off little brother vibes but this time he just gave of 'chad' vibes and I fear how this will work out in the movie. Maybe there will be some growth! Hopefully. And this spiraled down to D-16 and Orion's characters as well. I enjoy the use of the iteration of both of them being slaves, it really pulls them in together, but I did love the character dynamic we say it 'Transformers Prime' where Orion is still serious, but he's a bit more naive, fully trusts his best friend with no second thought, obedient, loyal, perceptive, compassionate which we still see in Optimus Prime but not as blind, we can see the growth, like he trusts his allies but is cautious with newcomers etc, he is loyal to his cause, compassionate in keeping his people safe and still has the idea mercy/of second chances. And it can become flaws at times as well, if I remember at some point Ratchet calls him out saying that he was too soft and it costs them because Optimus still had hope that they could be united without the violence. D-16 has just the same potential, we have seen proof that he was passionate about what he stood for, but his traits sadly were fed to the wrong end and quickly became huge flaws that turned him to what we know him as. I always say it as Optimus cared for the People, as Megatron cared for the Cause. Two sides of the same coin. And this could be set up in the movie, we could easily see these traits and how they differ. I don't know, I just fear that a great dynamic could be lost to just 'hur hur they are bros and they are silly and learn to tolerate each other.'

Again, I apologize for this rant and how messy it is, I just needed to get it off my chest. Again, I am not dissing on the movie. I am genuinely excited to watch it because the art style looks really cool, the premise looks promising, and I can't wait to see what characters make an appearance.

Ps. I also apologize if when referencing Prime I am confusing Megatronous with D-16 it's hard when rapid typing and thinking keep track of the the names

"Hey, Usagi-sama?" Leonardo stops him for a moment, a small smile on his face. "So, uh. Someone told me I should give you this." Gently tugs him closer, planting his beak against his lips for a soft, gentle kiss. It lasts for a few until he breaks apart, smiling more. "It was me." ( uwu 2k3 :3 )

It was the same no matter what when ever he and Leonardo met again. There was a airy feeling to the ronin's chest when ever his eyes rested on how Leo's beak seemed to curve into the smile he held when first seeing them. How he always held this gaze towards him. The rabbit glad years of training made it easy to control his emotions to a degree or the fact his fur was as white as snow would give him away. Instead he kept the feeling buried away. Leonardo was his dearest friend after all. Even if every parting was making it harder and harder. Or how he took special care of the sword they gifted just to the rabbit.

His tells were as subtle as Leo's foot steps could be. His ears lifted and twitched at the mere sound of their voice, furred cheeks fluffed a little at compliments. Needing to tell his heart it meant nothing it was simply praise for another sword wielder. Usagi been in love before and it hurt, he rather be able to keep this friendship if he must hide how he feels. Feelings will fade right? No. Because every time he sees them its like the emotions simply only grows. It's far beyond any he felt before it was deep. Maybe that's why excuses to train with Leo were always taken, it let him watch the ninja and there graceful moves. Let him moving in close, stare into that fierce look in their eyes. Wins often waved back and forth today? it was Usagi's. A slight smirk to his mouth as he gently used the end of his blade to tip Leo's chin up at him.

"It seems this win is mine Leonardo-san." Smile relaxed as he pulled it away and sheathed his katana back. Watching the turtle move to stand accepting their lost this time. "You'll just have to try again next visit spent." Usagi offers. He wished he could make these stays longer and maybe he could but that might give away his heart's intent.

"Hey, Usagi-sama?"

Leonardo moved to stop Usagi, aware he was planing to head back home after their sparing session. That damn smile once again on thier beak tugged at his heart but he met it with his own smile in turn a slight tilt of his head as he waited for Leo to speak on.

"So, uh. Someone told me I should give you this."

"I hope it's not another sword, not that I don't treasure the one you already have given me," Usagi goes to say merely joking but, he dose soon freeze and tense when he feel Leo's hand son him and how easily they tug him towards themself. Mind was blank for a mere moment, thankfully or he might have missed how their beak pressed in against his mouth suddenly.

Usagi's heart stalled in his chest and his hold on his sword fell letting it hit the dojo floor of the turtles home. Eyes soon closed as he enjoyed the feeling of their beak to his mouth. It was softer than he thought it be. Not are hard or rough as the rest of Leonardo's skin. Time felt like it froze in that moment as soon Usagi felt Leo break from the kiss. But not the hold they had on the ronin left to let his eyes part a little trying to gather what had happened.

"It was me."

Usagi felt like his face was burning hot, know well enough the white of his fur was betraying him and painted red from how he was blushing. He never excited Leo to be so bold. "I thought ninja were all about trickery?" he simply cracks before setting his hands on the side of the turtles face and pulling them back in. Capturing their beak in another kiss, because he wasn't going to wait anymore but instead follow the lead Leo set.

Season 1, Episode 2: The Big Move-In!

September 14th dawned bright and clear in Greenville, South Carolina. The sun streamed through the window of Faith’s new apartment bedroom at Edgemont Apartments, casting a warm glow on the freshly unpacked boxes and the cheerful clutter of a new home.

Faith, a vibrant spirit with a passion for adventures, stood in her bedroom, hands on her hips, taking in her new surroundings. The room was filled with the buzz of excitement and the promise of new beginnings. Her F.L.A.R.E.S. team—comprised of dedicated friends and allies—was there to help her get settled. Maurice LaMarche and Rob Paulsen, guests who had become fast friends, were also present. Rob, as Pinky, and Maurice, as The Brain, added an extra touch of whimsy to the already lively scene.

“Well, this is our new home,” Faith declared, her voice filled with enthusiasm. “We’re going onward and upward, like the title of the first episode of Adult Party Cartoon, starring Ren and Stimpy... which Mom never lets me watch, by the way.”

Sharon chuckled and nodded before heading out with Drew. The door closed behind them, and Faith turned her attention back to her new room. As she started unpacking her belongings, she heard a familiar voice from the hallway.

TP WORLD BUILDINGGGG

Botw has good world building too, but each race felt kinda,,, isolated? I absolutely love the different architecture and vibe each town has (and all the the weapons too) but ghhh yea everyone felt so separated. As far as I can remember, we don’t see tooo much of the races interacting with each other? Now that I’m typing that out maybe that’s to be expected because of the calamity but KLSJDKJFD ANYWAYS THIS IS ABOUT TP

The world feels nice and alive, love how populated everything is

Castle town I like castle town a lot, it feels dense and busy and I really like how you can’t talk to every NPC you see

Very cool very fun that we got to see the Gorons hanging out in multiple spots

kinda wish we got to see the Zoras a little more (I guess they are a bit limited since they need water but GHHHH the tp zoras are so prebby,,)

BUT HEY, I do remember seeing a zora or two hanging out in the hot springs around death mountain after beating the lakebed temple (I think, might have been a different dungeon) 

but aaaa would have been nice to see them in at least a couple of other places. I think it would have really added to the “congrats Link!! You’re restoring peace to Hyrule” feeling you get from seeing the Gorons hanging out in Kakariko and Castle Town

They really do seem to be doing their own thing apart from the rest of Hyrule

Love Midna’s theme and how they referenced the dark world theme from ALttP (I remember trying to learn the dark world theme on the piano and doing the Leonardo DiCaprio point meme at the little jingle I recognized from Midna’s theme)

Hyrule field theme SLAPS.

Apparently references a couple of the other over-world themes from the previous zelda games (I got this from 8-bit Music theory’s video on the over-world zelda themes, he talks about TP at around 11:40 but def recommend watching the whole video if you’re into music analysis stuff)

So there’s this bit of the Hyrule Field theme, I don’t know the official name for it but I remember seeing somewhere it being called the “at an advantage theme” since yeah, you hear it during the boss music whenever you expose their weak points. FUCKINGGG LOVE THAT. Didn’t notice it during my first playthrough, but hearing it during my second was like a little easter egg for my ears every time :)

I didn’t care for it too much when I started playing the game but hearing it in ZREO’s arrangement of the Hyrule Field theme literally makes me turn into a puddle of emotions. Also hearing it around and of the Ordon kids (I think it plays after Link saves Colin) AAAAAAAAAAAAA

Literally, the first time I listened to those I just,,,, plugged in my headphones, volume 100, layed on the floor/against my desk and silently vibed. I don’t know what the hell it is, but those two just fit so well with TP?? I still avoid listening to them nowadays cause if I DO I definitely will get overwhelmed with the “god I love this game so FUCKING MUCH” kind of feels.

the first time I heard him howling Zelda’s Lullaby I lost my shit because LKSJLDKSGLKJFSKG god that was.,, Bad. Anyways, hearing him howl some of the songs from OoT was cute :)

TP STAFF ROLL??? 

VERY GOOD. IT’s like 10 minutes long and GOD do I love every single second of it. It doesn’t have the same energy as the skyward sword staff roll or the orchestra pieces but GOD does it hit good??

Nice and calm after that big exciting adventure. Maybe it would have been more fun or emotional to have a higher energy piece but it was really nice getting to sit back and watch the camera fly around Hyrule. Seeing like, the Gorons and the Zoras having a good time, the kids returning to Ordon? GOOD SHIT.

and AAAAA that end, when you hear the main Zelda theme and see Link riding off out of Faron woods on Epona… good shit. It gets you thinking, where the hell is he going? What is he doing? Off ot do more adventuring? Going to help out the resistance or something? Going to help Zelda? Or maybe he’s trying to figure out a way to restore the mirror of twilight? Whoooo knows.

They’re all just so unique and contrast SO well with the rest of the TP OST. LIKE FUCK!! Anytime I hear the screech from the Twilit Kargarok? Sends a shiver down my spine. Hi! Could I get HC from the guys? 👀 How they would always react to catching the reader seeing them "badly", in addition to the fact that he usually avoids them, but with his brothers it is incredible and they feel bad because they think they do not like him.  But she actually likes them and she looks at them like that because she "studies" them to draw them and she is too clumsy and shy to talk to them, that's why she ends up avoiding them. Until finally he catches her drawing them with lots of hearts or maybe they'll find her notebook with lots of portraits of them.

It's kind of funny because when I study people to draw them, they think that I look at them with hatred xd maybe I should increase my glasses prescription

God, glasses are such a pain in the ass but I have to wear them. If I don't anyone within my near vicinity doesn't have a face. But why they gotta get dirty so easily???? Makes me wanna explode or something

well, you never actually said that to him

but he was pretty sure it was the case

you'd never made an effort to be friends with him

stared at him an awful lot though, but there was always something off about your gaze when you looked at him

like you were sizing him up, scrutinizing him, like he was an opponent

it kinda worried him

to add to that, you didn't even attempt to look embarrassed when he caught you staring

you'd just stare harder

on your end it was quite the opposite

you always found the brothers fascinating and you LOVED studying their anatomy, you'd confessed this to Donnie early on and he happily indulged in your questions

and you loved how easily you got along with the boys

well, except for Mikey

but it wasn't for a lack of trying

whenever the orange sporting turtle came around your normally flamboyant personality crept back into its little corner and hid

any words of excitement that had previously been with you died in your throat

for the longest time you didn't understand it

and you hated not understanding things, so you turned to your only outlet

that's how you ended up with an entire sketchbook full of the youngest brother in vastly different styles and poses

you had a separate book for the others, none of them as detailed as this

and when you stared to analyze you'd fallen into a habit of not looking away when caught

by your logic, if you stared back hard enough he'd look away first or just assume you'd zoned out

he didn't

and on one hectic day you'd left your sketchbook open on the kitchen table in your rush to get to work

you hadn't even noticed the slip up until Leo texted you to let you know during your shift

instant panic

in truth, Mikey was the one who discovered the book upon waking up from his nap and he'd spent the next three hours analyzing every drawing

when you finally dropped in after work to grab your book the turtle was waiting for you with it in hand

he'd asked you if you hated him

you told him no and accepted your sketchbook from him

he was relieved and screaming excitedly, just in his head

"Do you maybe wanna hang out sometime?"

You sighed in relief and nodded

"If you're cool with it- you don't think I'm weird do you?"

you lightly shoved his chest and smiled, although it faded within a second

he was so stunned he could only shoot you finger guns in approval

Donnie genuinely couldn't understand your unease around him

he'd followed all the proper expectations of holding a conversation

he was polite and engaging

so why wouldn't you talk to him?

this boy has read so many social blogs to try and figure out what he was doing wrong and he just couldn't put his finger on it

you were fine with the rest of his brothers, you'd stay up for hours laughing and gaming with them

you'd even sat still long enough to listen to Leo explain some old Japanese myth that he'd read about in a book

but with him it was always a quick, cordial greetings and farewells with bland small talk in between

Donnie had picked up pretty quickly that you weren't interested in any sort of interaction with him

and he convinced himself that that was okay

but that didn't explain the staring

he'd caught you in the act several times, eyes narrowed and locked on him

especially when you were alone with him in a room or just in the lair

the poor turtle just couldn't put his finger on it

then he caught you drawing, he noticed early on that you always carried a small sketchbook on your person but he didn't think much of it

and it wasn't so much that he caught you drawing, in fact, he wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't snapped at him while he was trying to do a sudoku puzzle

"Damn it Donnie! Stop moving! If I fuck this arm up one more time I'm gonna decompose!"

he'd quickly moved back into the position he was in prior

"sorry?"

but you'd gone silent again, occasionally glancing up from your work and running your eyes along his frame before looking down again

nearly twenty minutes later Donnie had finished the puzzle and it seemed as though you had finished your drawing

"Uh- can I ask what are you-"

"I'm drawing you but you kept moving your arm and making me mess up. You always do that when I draw you so every damn picture I have of you stays a sketch because you always come out looking like a fucking octopus."

He just stared

"Sorry, I uh- I didn't mean to explode on you like that. I'm just- I'm really bad at talking to you okay? It's so easy with everyone else but you've just gotta be so damn smart all the time and I worry that you'll think I'm boring so I just... don't talk to you?"

You refuse to show him the drawing until you can complete the line art and color it

But at least he knows that you don't hate him

To be completely honest Leo didn't mind that you were distant from him

You created an aura of calm when you were around and you always managed to distract his brothers while you were present

And he enjoyed the alone time

But after a few months that calm acceptance turned into jealousy

Not that he would ever admit it

He would just push it off and ignore it, that usually seemed to work

So why wasn't it?

And your obvious staring problem didn't help at all

Leo didn't spend much time considering his appearance but something about your gaze made him self conscious

And he hated that with a passion

Why was it that you could hold entire debates with his siblings? Even his dad for gods sake. You'd have hour long conversations on almost everything but whenever he tried to say hello you'd make up some lame ass excuse and scamper away

He just wanted an explanation

It appeared that the answer resided in your sketchbook

You'd left it open on the couch when Raph had called you away to spar with him

Leo very delicately flipped through the pages, careful not to disturb some of the polaroid pictures of his brothers

He was admittedly surprised to find pictures of himself among the pages

One of him in a handstand, another of him meditating, there was even one of him mid sneeze that you'd recreated with pencil and paper

The image of his eyes was the most startling, but the book held no polaroid of his eyes

You drew them from memory

And he was shocked when you returned to the room and didn't immediately panic

But that might have been because he didn't try to withhold your book from you

"It took me three months to color them, your eyes. I could never get the shade of blue just right."

"I'm gonna be honest with you y/n, I really thought you didn't like me."

You had the nerve to roll your eyes and follow it with a laugh

"I don't. I mean- I do but no, you just remind me a lot of myself and I haven't exactly figured out why yet. I thought that maybe if I drew you it'd be easier to figure you out..."

"Well did it help?"

You grinned

"I'm talking to you, aren't I?"

If there was one thing Raph hated it was not understanding something that was right in front of him

which is ironic, as a much younger version of himself probably couldn't care less

and a part of him wishes he didn't care about it so much

he wishes that your blatant avoidance of him didn't upset him

but shit, it got under his skin better than any needle ever could

was it too much to ask for you to just tell him what he said or did wrong?

was he asking too much of you?

but on the same scale you'd never shown obvious dislike towards him, you were never rude and you sure as hell didn't talk shit about him to his brothers

you got along great with them

in fact it was getting more difficult to remember a time before you became a part of his family

he'd become so used to your presence that it no longer put him off when he found you hanging around the lair

but in another sense he was certain that you hadn't spoken more than three sentences to him in your time knowing him or his family

so what was the reason

several months in he finally caught onto the staring, your narrow, glassy gaze locked onto his body and refusing to look away

he stared right back at you

this annoyed you for several reasons

because within five seconds your very peaceful drawing session had turned into a staring contest and your eyes were getting VERY dry

then you exhaled in a half-sigh and looked back down at your paper

"Huh, I guess your head is more of an oblong shape..."

he took offense to this

"What tha' hell is that supposed t'mean?"

now your eyes held more of an amused silent judgement, you begrudgingly held up your sketchbook

"I'm drawing you, you fucking walnut."

"Oh..."

now you rolled you eyes and tossed the book to him, he nearly dropped it and fumbled with the pages

your annoyance was quickly growing

"Careful with that."

He flipped through the pages at a snails pace, assumingly because he couldn't quite believe what he was seeing

you had some real talent

when he looked back up at you he was wearing that crooked smile

"and here I was thinkin' that my eyes were just green."
