22. what’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen someone do in public?

this honour has to go to the dude who sat in front of me in math class in high school.

(warning for grossness) 

i hated math so i spent most of my time staring at the back of this guy’s head in class and zoning out, which i was doing one fine day in 2018 when i noticed that he was running his hand through his hair a lot. like a lot. like at least once every couple minutes.

people are certainly entitled to run their hands through their hair as much as they want, but something about the way he was doing it just struck me as so odd that i stopped aimlessly zoning out and started really looking at him. and that’s when i realized that this man was digging for earwax, slathering it on his fingernail, and rubbing it into his head like shampoo.

and he did that for the entire class period of one and a half hours. like i didn’t even know one person could have that much earwax.

needless to say i never touched his hand or borrowed so much as a pencil from him after that but that memory haunts me to this day lol.
