there are quite a bit of differences btwn lu ten and iroh as i characterize lu ten but let me highlight some random hcs i have ab lu ten just being irohs boy

-hes a tea snob like his daddy but he doesnt like those fancy blends you need to have a specific palate for (they taste like literally nothing, despite what iroh swears). lu ten likes flavor. hibiscus tea and spiced cinnamon tea are his favorites

-occasionally smokes reefer probably. difference being iroh would smoke for vibes but lu ten would smoke because if he doesnt hes gonna smash his head into concrete until he passes out

-iroh doesnt wear sandals all the time in the show but he has sandals dad energy TO ME. lu ten inherits this gene. when hes not in regalia hes in the palace wearing loose patterned pants and sandals. The birkenstock duo

-appreciates the art of proverbs and understands them (usually) but he cant ever remember how they go so he gives up on trying to spout them on the fly like iroh does

-big pai sho fan like iroh and is really good at it. they like to play pai sho together at any chance they get. they even use pai sho as a way to talk to each other about stuff- kind of like finn and jakes fake haircut talks?? they pretend that theyre both strangers that simply share a kinship over love of pai sho, so it makes the unspoken rule of ‘there are things you dont talk about in the royal palace’ void, because they’re pretending to just be simple pai sho players. unfortunately if those talks take certain turns they cant play their little game anymore but it worked okay when lu ten was younger
