#been trying to convey what i think of as basic distinctions bt 'fundamentalist evangelical'#now this book has me thinking of the term in geographical terms: 'a fundamentalist evangelical from kansas' conveys#a distinct stereotype especially compared to '...from Kentucky' or '...from Alabama' (and ofc those states & others have intricate intra-#state religious distinctions some of a unique species unlike any other in the world)#another cruder way of putting it: jews for jesus are not southern baptists are not westboro baptist are not#conservative wesleyans are not conservative congregationalists and who the hell knows how many of each group are specifically *literalists*
