I think you're referring to this post I made about episode 10 of Be My Favorite, where I wrote: "I personally don't think [Kawi] is ace" and "This is not an asexual story".

First of all, I wrote that post right after watching the episode, with my own conflicting feelings of "will they ever say that asexuality exist?" and "aww, kawi is little baby ace". Considering what I wrote, the first thought won over the other and here we are.

What I meant was that if they ever planned to write Kawi as asexual, we would have had a way different storyline. If they ever considered asexuality to be a possibility they wouldn't have made Max (a prominent spokeperson of LGBT rights inside the show) say that sex is vital for a relationship.

Yes!! Kawi's feelings are very much ace-coded! (Although I am aroace and probably not the best to explain to you how romantic relationship in an asexual / demisexual setting work, as I said in my other post, talking to each other about each other's boundaries and respecting them is key to every relationship.)

I wrote that it's not an asexual story because it probably wasn't meant to be (and if it was, I will gladly take it all back). Because if they were going to talk about asexuality, they would have hinted at it before, explained it better, or even just mentioned it at least. It's basic storytelling! All I know about asexuality from this show is that it's one of the words written on the panel from the Pride gathering they had in episode 8, that was on screen for less than a second.

I don't know, Anony. I'm gladly cheering for all my baby aces, but I wouldn't bet on this particular series to educate people on it (especially after what Max said).

Fujisaki from Cherry Magic Japan and the two main characters from Koisenu Futari are aromantic asexual, though! So, if you do want to see some asexuality you can start there, but I'll gladly accept more suggestions of shows with actual canon asexual characters, instead of some hints that are not exactly very good at hinting.

Those asks about opinions were from me honestly. But I do feel sorry and bad after the asks. I just felt it also felt patronizing / policing as fandom tended to paint those who like certain characters as predators themselves like Gamma. But thank you for your response and I really did mean in good faith

I appreciate you being forthcoming about those asks being from you. But know that I wasn't being patronizing or policing anyone, these were perspectives I gave after being asked and even in that ask I told that anon that it was my interpretations.

Since it's in good faith then I hope you take the time to reflect on your behaviour. Like, from my perspective on this, it did feel like you were using me as an outlet for the anger you felt at fandom. I don't do what you accused me of and I don't believe in pushing my opinions on characters onto others.

Also, I definitely don't think that liking a predatory character or an otherwise problematic character reflects onto the person? I love many problematic characters! I'm just of the mind that there isn't a reason to sanitize a character's behaviour, which is what I was saying about Gamma. It also just to happens I can't stand him.

I won't repeat myself since I did already suggest just blocking or restructuring your words [or even making a post to vent, if you want] for the next time you feel upset.

As for your answer: I enjoy some of her songs, but I find it hard to relate to them because they're mostly love ballads and I don't care about either of those things.

I don't know her as a person, and her persona is curated to the detail to appeal to literally everyone but, personally, she just feels like a multimillionaire to me and - again - I can't relate to those.

All in all I don't mind her, she's just okay. It's most of her fandom that thinks she is The Only Artist To Ever Live, which seems a little silly in my opinion. But I've got swiftie friends, so - y'know - gotta love them.
